 James looked at Selena's stomach, he saw that it was still flat and not protruding. Selena's gestational age is still very young, it is impossible to see changes in Selena's stomach at such a young age.

 Selena didn't know why James said that, but Selena didn't understand. Selena does not understand James' mindset, besides that Selena is also not sure about all of his decisions. James really cares about and loves the baby Selena is carrying, but on the other hand it looks like it. Not convincing, but also confusing.

 Selena did not know that all this time James grew up in a pretty poor family before Jessica finally succeeded with her business and changed her life and James's life. They were finally happy after Jessica was able to change the family's economy.
