Chapter 16: Reboot

Roi's Pov:

I felt heavy. So heavy that I couldn't move. I didn't want to move. My head was pounding against my skull and all I can think about was what the administration was going to do to me now. I suppose I have been put to sleep for another checkup.

The minute I felt light, I opened my eyes and looked up at the scientist's face. He smiled at me, but I felt no joy towards him. I felt absolutely nothing. I felt no pain, no happiness, and no joy. I didn't even feel my heartbeat.

"Hello 0003745."

"Is this a checkup?" I asked coldly.

"Yes. Something happened at your last mission that caused us to do so. Please do not be alarmed." I blinked at him. "Okay… Well… up you go!" He sat me up. I looked at him with uninterest.

"When will I be able to return to my apartment?"

"Not yet. We need you to complete some more training. You are to report to classroom EF77 in twenty minutes."

"Yes sir." I stated. The man gave me a navy-blue jumpsuit with my number on it, a pair of white socks, black combat boots, and a pair of underwear. I put on the clothes in the order I was trained to put them on. I buttoned up the suit, turned on my right heel, and marched out the door stepping with my left foot first, like I was trained to. I walked through the black halls into sector E which was signified by the yellow lights along the wall. I located the classroom and sat down in a seat towards the back next to subject number 0003744. She had a protruding stomach, pale skin, and long brown curly hair. She looked familiar but that could be because she is the number before me. We had to have been born around the same time then. From the look of it I guess she's in the pregnancy program. I remember when they did that to me. The baby came out dead.

The woman turned her head to look at me. She smiled at me before, reaching out to grab my hand. I snatched my hand from her. "Do you want me to report you?" I hissed. Showing emotions was bad. She's clearly defective.

"Roi it's-" She tried to speak.

"Who is this Roi you speak of?"

"What?"

"I am 0003745. We don't have names. Get it together 0003744. I need to report this." I told her. I got up from my seat and headed for the door. The class can wait, this is more important.

"0003745, where are you going?" I turned to the front of the room to see who was speaking. There was a woman who had a smile on her face showing off her pearl white teeth. She had long black hair and nails. She wore an entire white suit and her eyes were a bright white.

"Subject 0003744 has shown signs of having emotions." I stated.

"Is that so private?"

"Yes ma'am."

"It shall be taken care of after class, please have a seat. We are about to start." I sat down immediately. It is important to always follow orders when given by superiors.

Liam's Pov:

I watched with a sad heart as Roi went berserk. My mother knew that her blood lust would take over her senses. With all of the high pressure of the situation, and Roi's fragile emotions, it was hard for Roi to control her berserkism. Roi ripped into the flesh of the guards draining them of their blood. She was about to go after queen bloody bitch, when queen bloody bitch got her in the neck with a needle. Roi, who looked like a demon from hell, was instantly knocked out. I tried to reach out for Roi but this ho stepped on the back of my neck with her bloody foot.

"I'll kill you!" I vowed.

"No... you're going to help me. It'll be you begging for death when I'm through with your precious Roi. She will be a part of our great expansion. You will want to forget about her when I'm through."

"I'll never forget about her."

"Yeah right." I felt a prick on the other side of my neck and very quickly I had blacked out too. When I came around, I was no longer in our home but back in the room with the boys in suffocating silence again. I couldn't help but wonder what they were doing to Roi, if she was awake, or asking for me. I even wondered about our kids. When we got to my home, I couldn't sense them in the house. I wondered if they had gotten to Anna or any of the other women in our lives? I heard someone snore from beside me and like before I kicked them in the back to wake them up.

"Yo! What the hell!?" Lyle screamed.

"Shh!" Kian shushed from the other side of the room.

"Is Roi here?" I hurriedly asked. There was no time for me to use our code.

"What are you talking about?" Ned asked me.

"Where is Roi!?" I yelled. I can feel my vision go in and out as we spoke.

"Roi is here?"

"She took me back to Roi and Roi went berserk and… and…"

"And what man! Spit it out!" Faber snapped at me.

"And then the bitch knocked me out. She's going to do something to Roi. So Roi has to be here." I rushed out. I felt my fangs elongate and my sense heightened as I listened to the silence in the room.

"Liam, take deep breaths. Try to calm yourself." Ned guided me but I didn't listen.

"Fuck that! I want Roi!" I pulled forward on my chains and I growled, ripping the out of the wall. I made sure them shits shattered. I ran for the door, and I threw my body into it.

"Stand down!" Someone yelled from the outside.

"Roi!" My voice sounded like a monster. I kept throwing my body into the door until I felt it break. I ploughed through the guards trying to stop me. I had annihilated them all. I ran down the hall. I felt Roi this time and I was determined to find her and get us the hell out of here. I had eventually burst into a room where there were multiple people sitting down at a desk like at school. Queen bloody bitch was at the front of the room talking about something not important to me.

"Roi!" Anna's voice flitted through the air. I looked over to the right and there my woman was. Anna looked stunned to see me but also a bit relieved. Roi on the other hand looked completely empty to me. She looked me up and down and then turned to glare at Anna.

"I am 0003745." Roi said to her in a rude way. Roi got up from her seat.

"What are you doing Roi? Sit down!" Anna yelled. Whenever my attention was on Anna, I heard two heart beats coming from her. Roi walked towards me as I stood there.

"Everyone, pay attention to our star student. This is how you would take down a berserker." Dr. Katlyn said.

"You bit-" Roi kicked me in the nuts before she tossed me to the side of the room. She skillfully placed me in a head lock and flipped me onto my back. I hit the floor with an oof. I got up just as Roi was about to stomp on my face. I flipped her around and pinned her to the wall.

"Roi it's me. You can stop pretending." My mouth watered as I felt her chest beating against mine.

"I. Am. Not. Roi!" She yelled with pure anger on her face. Her eyes turned a bright red before she pushed me off of her. Roi attacked me as if I was a sleazebag on the street. She skillfully and powerfully made me succumb to her every move and the entire time she was controlling her berserkism. She knocked me back into the back wall. I had been too tired to move.

"Good job in securing the threat, 0003745."

"Can I kill him?" She asked that bitch coldly.

"No. Not this one. He is special… Take him back to sector B, room 3745."

"Yes ma'am." Roi pulled me to stand by my ear. It took a lot of force to move me, and Roi was doing it effortlessly.

"No! Please?" Anna begged.

"Take subject 0003744 with you." I heard Roi grunt before she walked us both with amazing strength out the door. I didn't even try to fight her this time.

"Roi… why are you doing this?" Anna questioned. "Don't you remember us?" Anna tried again. Roi looked between the both of us for a moment. She shrugged and kept walking.

"You will be terminated. I'll make sure of it." Roi stated monotonously. Roi stopped in front of the door. She tapped a button on the side. The door suddenly slid open. She pushed us both inside.

"Roi… you have to remember me. You have a scar on the right side of the base of your neck. I know you Roi. You have to know me too." I said in a tired fashion. Roi furrowed her brow. She opened her uniform and tried to get a glimpse of the scar. It was as if it was the first time she saw it.

"Please refer to me as 0003745. I don't know any of you. I must've gotten the scar on a mission. I will have you both terminated. You are defective." Roi said as if what I mentioned was nothing.

"Roi, I gave you that scar honey. Don't you remember?"

"You need to be terminated and reprogrammed. The both of you." She stepped out of the doorway. I grabbed her to pull her back, but Roi shoved me back hard. She gave Anna and I another good look before rubbing her temples and grabbing her chest. She stepped out of the doorway. The door closed immediately.

"Why doesn't she remember-" Anna began.

"They reprogrammed her, Anna." I snapped stating the obvious.

"How are you here?"

"The administration came to my house and- and- I don't want to get into it. Kaylia and Ria is here too by the way."

"How long has it been since we've been here and what's with your stomach?"

"Liam...I'm pregnant. The experiment worked. I'm five months pregnant." Anna said with a small smile.

"That's great! Is the baby…"

"Yes, it's Ned's." Anna frowned all of a sudden.

"I can tell him you know." I told her.

"Sure… That's if he'll ever want to talk to me again."

"He loves you Anna…"

"I question it."

"Well, that's something you'll have to speak to him about. In the meantime, we need to find a way out of here."

"There isn't any. Roi and I have tried a few times. The only way out of here is if they let you out first." Anna admitted.

"There is always a way out."

"I'm afraid not, son of mine!" We both turned to the back of the room to see that bitch walk through with a red cigarette in her hands.

"I told you." I said to Anna.

"Not like you would have the authorization to even go through the back." She said waving her hands around her as if to clear the red smoke in the room. "We are doing you a favor. We are building up your queen. Why are you two so adamant on getting out of here?"

"You create lives just to ruin them. I don't understand the administration's purpose, but I know that it is never good." Anna snarled.

"To you maybe. But to me? The administration is more than that. It's a place for freaks and power. You will understand soon."

"We won't understand shit! We are going to take Roi and get out of here." I hissed.

"By all means do that. We know where you live now." She mentions boldly.

"Sure you do?" I asked her.

"I can have you probed."

"Once again… are you sure you will?"

"I just came to tell you that you killed 20 men getting to your precious Roi." She blew smoke right up my face. "I came to tell you your every move is being closely watched. You have a destiny in this as well, Liam." She took out a file from her bag and slapped it on the ground between us.

"Might want to take a look at it before you make your next steps. I'll be back when I've seen that your done with it. In the meantime, 0003744, let's go see your partner."

"You said that to Roi, she came back different. I don't want to see him." This queen bloody bitch lifted a lip at Anna.

"Suit yourself." She turned around and left out of the back of the room through the backdoor leaving a trail of bloody red smoke behind her.

"What do you think is inside?" Anna asked me, looking at the red file folder.

"I don't know. But I do know we are getting out of here. We just need to know where Roi is staying."

"Liam! There is no hope for us. Roi can't be in the facility. She comes and goes a lot. She has a room here for overnights, but that's it. I don't know where she goes. She could be off the compound by now."

"There's always hope. Never give up hope Anna. If we did that then how were we able to get away in the first place?"

"You really think we can do this a second time without us becoming like Roi?"

"If we have to start all over with Roi, then we have to. But I won't stop until I know that we are all together, safe and warm."

"You really do love her, don't you?"

"Yes I do! That woman is mine, whether she knows it or not. Now let's pick up the file and-" The front door opened in the next second. I whipped my head around to the front and watched as Lyle, Ned, Kian and Faber stepped through. Anna placed herself in a corner away from everyone. Lyle, Ned, Kian and Faber, were all cleaned up and placed into jumpsuits with their numbers on them. They looked around the room as if everything was unfamiliar to them.

"How'd you get here?" I asked them.

"Roi brought us here. Said someone ordered her to." Ned said. He took a whiff of the air and pushed me to the side instantly.

Ned's Pov:

I pushed Liam to the side and looked at the one person I've been really dying to see. I regret leaving in the way that I did. If I left this world without fixing things with Anna I would never forgive myself. I just prayed she wasn't like Roi. Roi was cold as ice when she brought us here. She told us to call her by her number strictly. We all can tell that she was reprogrammed. But to know that they let her believe that she didn't have a name, was just heartbreaking.

"Anna it-" I felt the air get knocked out of my lungs as Anna hugged my torso so tightly that I thought she would break a rib. I felt her hot tears across my chest, as she began to cry profusely.

"I'm here, Anna." I told her. "I'm sorry." Anna continued to cry and all I could do was hold her tight. I tried to pull Anna in closer but something seemed to get in the way. That's when I pulled back and looked at Anna. Her stomach protruded from her body.

"I- it's yours." She mumbled wiping her tears. I didn't know what to think about this. How was this even possible?

"I wanted to tell you and then we had that fight and-"

"Shut up!" I snapped at her before placing my lips on her own. I could feel myself come to life with her kiss and her minty breath. I was so stupid. I had been a fool and an asshole to even leave Anna on her own like that. To think...a baby? We were going to have a baby?!

"You're not leaving my sight ever again." I whispered to her. Anna nodded her head at me.

"Isn't that nice…? Now how about you two stop dry humping each other and help us figure a way out of here." Lyle snapped.

"Shut up man! You're just mad because you don't have yours." I snapped back.

"No, I'm mad because Anna is so caught up in you that she's treating me like chopped liver." I watched my Anna as her shoulders fell in relaxation. She left my side and ran up to Lyle with a smile on her face. She wrapped her arms around him.

"Missed you brother." She said.

"Missed you too, baby sis." He patted her head and then kissed the top of it before pulling away from her. "So I'm going to be an uncle huh?"

"Yeah. I'm having a boy." Anna said, looking at us both.

"Congratulations!" Kian yelled, clapping me on the back.

"Welcome to the club Ned." Liam said from across the room.

"Thanks guys."

"I'm going to have more grands then." Faber concluded.

"Yes you are, Alpha Faber." Anna confirmed.

"Please...call me Greg." He told her.

"Greg." I pulled Anna back into me kissing her temple. I missed my woman. I missed her soft touch, and her long hair. I missed her sexy body being next to mine. I missed her laugh that I would hear, her smile, that little gleam of mischief in her eye. I missed her so much I can feel myself trying to rise in my suit. There was this need to reclaim Anna and show her all the love in the world. I loved my Anna. I loved my Anna so much that it hurt.
