EPISODE 40: Break down that barrier!

Dramatic scenarios happened yesterday with me and Riolu. I and Riolu fought against each other, I admit that it was my fault... I didn't treat Riolu fairly like my other Pokemons. I started to think less of Riolu, and chose Zorua over him. I did not know that I was the one who broke his feelings. Riolu fought and won victories for me, but why do I focus on Zorua more than him? Why did I not think of Riolu? I regret everything I said or even uttered to Riolu that they. "Pokemons deserve to be treated fairly just like we treat our fellow humans fairly." This was the words of one of the staff of the Citrus Home for the lost who I dearly missed. But that day, I learned a valuable lesson. A lesson that was buried in my brain and planted in my heart.

Sometimes, painful things can teach us lessons that we didn't think we needed to know. I admit, then in my journey I've lived, I've lost, I've missed, I've hurt, I've made mistakes but most of all I learned. "Everyone makes a wrong turn once in your life." This were the words of my father before my ninth birthday, when I accidentally broke my mother's favorite vase. The point is, you can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are, and change the ending. I've changed the way I treated Riolu, I've changed the way of treating others unfairly, and I've changed the way I used to live.

After a long four day walk in route seven, me and Riolu, together with my other Pokemons woke up early this morning. The aurora was still about to rise, while the Pidgeys were still asleep. My friends were still enjoying their slumber after a late-night sleep yesterday. I went out with my Pokemon to witness a dawn of a new day. We slept on a hill and the view was amazing. The ambiance was silent that morning as I saw the sunrise to greet me and my Pokemon. The sun blooms on the horizon, golden petals stretching outwards into rich blue. It is the brilliant flower of the sky that warms our days, it is the invitation to a new day. The sunrise was spectacular indeed! Ever inspiring, ever extraordinary.

I looked and marveled at the flower of the azure blue sky. It was a sight to behold for me and my Pokemon. "A brand new day unfolds Riolu! And this day, we are going to make it memorable." I uttered silently with determination as Riolu smiled back.

"The sunrise reminds you of dad and mom huh?" I queried as I smiled at Riolu. "I missed watching the sunrise with Lyra and Cypress," Riolu answered. Scyther and Zorua looked across the horizon. Scyther never saw a sunrise before, since it was with Krill before.

"This is your first time Scyther, do you like the view?" I queried and smiled. "I've never seen anything like this before, thank you Kalem!" Scyther cried with tears of joy. He embraced the memory and cherished it forever. "We're going to find you mom and dad! And I'm going to make you proud." I whispered with the wind. The breeze blows us from behind as the Pidgeys started to chirp.

"Kalem? You're up earlier." Glade stretched his arms as he came towards me. "Isn't it inspiring?" I queried. "Huh?"Glade wondered what I was talking about. "The sunrise, isn't it inspiring?" I paraphrased. "Of course, I usually view the sunrise with my parents," Glade recalled his memory as tears flowed down. "Don't worry Glade, we'll find our parents... we'll find them," I uttered silently.

The flower of the blue sky has risen, and Zhery and Camellia woke up. We ate breakfast together as the breeze touches our hair. I could see Macropolis city from the hill, I could also see the Orb tower, the tallest tower of Macropolis city.

After breakfast it was time to move on, it was time to head to Macropolis city! But before that, we had to fix our stuff first before we leave the resting site.

"Kalem, are you ready for your gym battle against Avery?" Camellia queried. "Yup! Me and the crew are all fired up just like the morning flower!" I exaggerated while looking at Camellia. But that was a wrong decision when suddenly I bumped my head.

"Ouch!" I shouted in pain. "Are you alright Kalem?" Glade asked. "What the? You hit yourself nowhere? there's no wall!" Zhery teased. "Impossible! I bumped my head on the-" "On the sky? ha haha! So what? Lugia tortures you now?" Zhery interrupted and teased.

"I swear and I'm going to prove it!" I badgered as I walked back. With the right distance, I began to charge my head like a Pokemon using a headbutt. I was hoping that there was no wall. But, I guess I'm wrong.

"Ouch!? What the! See I told you there's a wall!" I badgered. "Seriously? You're not kidding are you? I literally don't see any wall nor barrier." Zhery teased. Zhery was overconfident, she walked backward again, and with the right distance she began to charge for the abyss. "OUCH!?" Zhery shouted. "Who's crying now?" I teased. "You know, you two could have just touched the wall instead of banging yourself into it." Glade force palmed. Camellia and Glade touched the air and knew that there was an invisible barrier.

The barrier stretches out, so there's no way going around it, this barrier made me frustrated! I was about to deal with my gym battle today! Now I have to deal with a barrier, and what's worse? It's invisible. "Open up! Whoever is doing this curse please stop and open up the barrier!" I knocked hard on the invisible barrier. "Do you think the barrier is going to answer you?" Zhery teased. "Oh, no here we go again." Glade sighed and facepalmed.

"Hmmm, it could be one of Macropolis' greatest technology." Camellia hunched. "Impossible, I've never heard news about an invisible barrier." Glade neglected.

"That's it Riolu! Force palm the barrier!" I ordered with frustration. Riolu tried to force palm the barrier but the barrier still stood strong. "What gobbledygook is this!" I shouted with annoyance. "I guess your gym battle has to wait longer." Zhery teased.

Then a sudden clown Pokemon poofed out of nowhere, it was sitting on an invisible chair, one of its legs were up, while sipping an invisible tea. "Am I hallucinating?" I teased myself as I rubbed my eyes. Is there such a thing as a Pokemon who can sit on the air?

"Actually, that Pokemon is called Mr. Mime." Irys uttered as I stared into the clown Pokemon. "What's a Mr. Mime?" Zhery asked.

"Here is some info and data analysis about Mr. Mime. [Mr. Mime! The barrier Pokemon! A Psychic-type, MR. MIME is a master of pantomime. Its gestures and motions convince watchers that something unseeable actually exists. Once it is believed, it will exist as if it were a real thing.]

"So... Your name is Mr. Mime eigh? Open the barrier and let me pass!" I shouted with a calm voice at first then my voice started to rage. I don't want to miss my gym battle! Mr. Mime just laughed at us.

"You dare laugh at me!?" I asked with annoyance. "Hey Kalem, calm down, maybe Mr. Mime wants to show something to us." Camellia hunched.

The four of us sat down, as Mr. Mime stood up from his chair. Poof! A hat appeared out of nowhere, then a lot of cards flew out of the hat. "Is this some kind of kid's magic show?" I wondered in my mind as I was getting triggered. Then the cards circled Mr. Mime, as Mr. Mime touched the card, that card would suddenly disappear and go back to the hat.

"Hey Glade, this sounds less like watching and more like stalling," I whispered. Then Mr. Mime started to do a hand mime show. Do you know? The one that kids enjoy wherein a random mime pulls out a random invisible box. But Mr. Mime's box is really invisible.

The show was taking a long time, so I was getting triggered, I stood up and asked. "Amazing show! Can we go?" I teased, I was trying to keep my cool.

Mr. Mime nodded his head to the left swiftly. "Grrrr, fine we'll finish the show," I uttered as I sat down to my sit. We were already getting bored of the three hours long show, and it still keeps ongoing.

"Hey Kalem, we must think of a way to trick Mr. Mime on letting as pass," Zhery whispered. "I was thinking of a plan for the past three hours and nothing came up!" I whispered. "We know, that Pokemon moves won't work and break down the barrier. So what could we do?" Glade queried.

"Maybe we can pretend to be Mimes, and play along with Mr. Mime's mind games," Camellia shouted. "Play along with Mr. Mime's mind games?" I wondered until an idea came rushing to my head. I stood up without telling my friends my plan... Because I was in a rush again.

In order to defeat a mime, you must be a mime. I pretended to create a door in the barrier. Mr. Mime was wondering what I was doing. I also added a knob to my pointless creation. "Did Kalem, just became a mime?" Zhery teased. "No, he's playing with Mr. Mime!" Camellia wondered.

I tried doing my plan, and opened the invisible door I tried to walk in and it worked! "Haha! Fool me once shame on me, fool my twice shame on you!" I teased as I enter the barrier. "Amazing... All this time I thought Kalem was a no brainer." Zhery teased. "Guess you were wrong." Camellia laughed.

Mr. Mime fought back and closed the door. "So? You want to play then eigh?" I teased.

"I started to make an invisible saw and tried to cut down the barrier. The barrier was too thick and Mr. Mime kept laughing at my pointless try. I on the other hand, got annoyed too much.

"I know!" I shouted. I made an invisible fuel tank filled with petroleum, I opened the door and scattered invisible Petroleum around Mr. Mime, from this point I made an invisible match stick and set the stick aflame. "So Mr. Mime? Any second thoughts on breaking down the barrier?" I teased. Mr. Mime knew that I was going to lit the invisible petroleum I scattered around him.

"Umm, isn't that too much?" Glade asked. "Of course Kalem isn't going to hurt Mr. Mime, he's just tricking me. Mime." Camellia explained.

: MR. MR. MIME MIME! The Pokemon pleaded and begged for mercy. "Now, be a good mime and break down that barrier." I smiled. Mr. Mime removed the barrier and allowed us to pass.

My friends stood up with happiness and relief. "We can finally continue!" Zhery sighed in relief. I jumped for joy thinking that I tricked the tricker's trick, but I accidentally dropped the match stick and the petroleum a flamed and exploded.

"Oops... My bad...." I apologized as Glade got mad. "Did you just hurt Mr. Mime!?" "I said it was an accident!" I ran as fast as I could but Glade chased me.

I was able to apologize to Mr. Mime, at the Pokemon center in Macropolis city. "Sorry Mr. Mime, heh heh, I guessed I got too excited, that's all," I explained.

Mr. Mime had an open heart and forgave me, we left Mr. Mime with some berries in his turf beside a nice shabby tree. We waved goodbye at Mr. Mime as we returned to the city.

"Aww, I missed my gym battle," I uttered solemnly. "That's ok Kalem, there's always tomorrow, at least this day has been exciting and fun!" Camellia comforted. "Yeah! Your pretty good at handling mimes." Zhery teased. "It is my gift, it is my curse! Haha!" We teased each other as the sun was about to set. I may have missed my gym battle, but I had a fun time Mr. Mime, though I was annoyed, deep inside, it was fun acting like a mime. I guess I tricked the tricker's trick Since that's all done, its time to focus on the Macropolis city gym! Me and my Pokemons will win it for sure as the journey continues.
