Memories

After defeating the last gym leader and obtaining his eight badge Ash chose to stay on Sunyshore City for a while and give his pokemon a good vacation before participating in the Sinnoh League 2 months from now.

Inside a Poke cafe, Ash released his seven pokemons and let them choose what they wanted to eat, ever since the group started training they will try to best each other in every aspect they could get the chance.

Infernape pointed at the poke puffs that were said to be the spiciest of them all, seeing this Charizard not wanting to get outdone by his rival also ordered the same poke puffs but he said to give him 2 times more than Infernape.

Infernape glared at Charizard and told Ash that he will double Charizard's order, he then puffed his chest out at raised his head staring proudly at Charizard.

Charizard was about to fight back by ordering five times more than Infernape's order but was stopped when Bayleef used her vine whip and choked Charizard and Infernape making them struggle for air.

Even though Bayleef is not at her final evolution form she was currently the leader of the group and all agreed to it, no one wanted to make this big sister angry because they didn't want to be hung upside down on a tree again.

Ash chuckled seeing their antics and ordered their food the other customers already backed a few meters away when Infernape and Charizard starting fighting, they could feel the overwhelming power the two pokemons had even though they were just arguing with one another.

The group brought their food and settle down in a park Ash laid down beside a tree and took an afternoon nap while his pokemon were still eating.

Seeing that their Master was fast asleep Samurott took another quick glance at his Master confirming that he was asleep and spoke.

"Everyone, I know this Is a sensitive topic but do you think Master will accept those traitors if they wish to come back?"

As soon as they heard his question everyone except Bayleef started releasing their aura, seeing this Samurott panicked and said in a hushed voice "You idiots! don't wake Master up!"

They immediately retracted their aura and took a quick glance at their master and sighed in relief seeing that he wasn't woken up.

Sceptile who was the quiet one amongst the group spoke while playing with his toothpick, "You know Samurott to me those that left the group weren't traitors but a bunch of failures. Ever since master announced that we will be having our harshest training ever I knew that not all of us will succeed and some will leave, so if I were you guys don't bother with them anymore even if they wanted to return to master it doesn't really matter because they are still a bunch of failures that couldn't step up when needed too and I'm pretty sure master won't even spare them a glance."

The rest of the group was now in deep thought thinking about what Sceptile just said and they eventually nodded in agreement except for one particular reptile who snorted and a fire monkey who shook his head in disagreement.

"You have your own opinion but to me, I don't want to see them ever again and if they try to force their way back to Master's life then don't blame me for being ruthless."

Charizard raised his head looking at Ash sleeping and continued, "I was once abandoned by my previous trainer and Master was the one who saved my life back then, after evolving into Charmeleon I developed a sense of disgust towards Master because he was so weak and I dreamed him unworthy of being my trainer but Master didn't gave up and still took care of me until I evolved into Charizard." He chuckled thinking about all of his past experience with his Master who kept on ordering him to attack while he just laid on the battlefield not caring about anything.

"Master is the best trainer and I wouldn't ask for anybody else, it really infuriates me seeing those scumbags leave Master just because they can't handle the training."

Infernape his fellow fire type nodded and said, "Me and Charizard have the same experiences and were abandoned by our own trainer. Master was the one who took me under his care and made me who I am today, the only difference between me and this overgrown lizard is that I didn't get arrogant when I got stronger and stopped listening to Master's order hmp!" Charizard turned his head not wanting to argue with Infernape about this topic.

The rest of the group laughed and started telling their own story how they met their Master and the journey they experienced with him.

A few hours later Ash woke up to see his pokemons currently sleeping around him making sure that he was safe from any possible danger.

He was about to go back to sleep when suddenly a little pink pokemon flew down towards Ash and sat on top of his head.

"Good to see you again Mew," Ash said with a smile while caressing Mew's head.

*Prrrhhhh* Mew purred and spoke in Ash's head using telepathy, "Looks like you already decided to start your journey again Ash."

Ash nodded his head and glanced at his pokemons forming a warm smile on his face.

"Ash, about the request you asked me about last time I talked with him and he agreed to accompany you if you pass his tests, he told me that you can't bring your pokemon with you and only you alone should go and meet him," Mew said with a hint of worry on it's voice.

Ash smile grew even wider when he heard the news and asked, "Is that loner really agreeing to accompany me?"

Mew chuckled hearing Ash describe one of the Tao Trio as a loner.

Ash then woke up his pokemons telling them that he needed to do something important and will be back in a few days.

His pokemon agreed to temporarily stay in the man-made cave and continue their training while waiting for their Master to return.

After making sure that no one will be making any problems and telling Bayleef to punish anyone who is causing trouble Ash along with Mew disappeared from their spot and teleported towards their destination.
