Inside his apartment building, Alan stood by the glass wall overlooking the whole Arcelia City while a screen was opened in front of him.
[Did you receive it?] asked Eve as she too stood beside him.
"Yes," said Alan as he looked at the trainer license that he was sent by The League as soon as it reached midnight, "we can finally go on our journey."
He could barely hold off his excitement, but there was something else that he was excited about.
"The corpse would be delivered to us in five minutes. Are you ready?"
[More than ready. You, of all people, should know how much we have struggled to reach the edge of violet potential. This might as well be what we need to cross that barrier, and then there is also that] she said while turning towards the egg placed on Alan's bed.
"It will hatch in two hours; I really can't wait."
As they talked to each other, they heard a knock on the door after precisely five minutes, and Alan knew it was people from the Auction house delivering him the corpse.
He opened the door, and Eve used her psychic powers to bring the metallic box into the room.
As he was done dealing with the paperwork, Alan walked inside and stared at the metallic box before opening it, and a giant corpse of Ursaring appeared before them.
"Are you ready?" asked Alan, but Eve did not give him any reply and walked towards the corpse with a hint of expectation and nervousness in her eyes.
Taking a deep breath in, Eve took a bite of the corpse and started consuming the pokemon one bite after another.
It took her ten whole minutes before the corpse was eaten whole by her.
"How do you feel?" asked Alan as he activated his God Eyes and looked at Eve, who still had Deep Blue potential with a hint of violet mixed in it.
[I do not feel anything] she said, shaking her head in disappointment [I hoped it would be helpful]
Seeing her dejected, Alan bent down and held her in his arms, "don't worry, we still have the Psychic orb given to us by Prof. Oak. If even that doesn't work, I will make sure to find a way for you to reach the next stage of potential..."
As he was speaking, Alan suddenly felt Eve heat up and as if she was burning in a fire.
"Eve, are you alright?" said Alan as he sensed the changes taking place in her body but very soon, the same thing happened to him. His body started to heat up as well, and both of them dropped to the ground, trying to resist the rising temperature within their body.
It went on for about an hour before it finally came to a stop.
Alan and Eve were sprawled on the floor, covered in their sweat. They had never experienced this, and they had no time to prepare for it with how sudden it was.
"What the hell just happened?" asked Alan questioning the recent events, but just like him, Eve had no answers.
[I don't know, but suddenly my body started heating up but then the heat was 'absorbed' by something within my body.]
"Wait, do you think?" he asked once again and understanding what he meant, Eve immediately stood up and sensed the changes in her body.
Alan, too stood up before he activated his God Eyes.
What was that feeling when you tried to do something but failed every time but finally succeeded in it?
Alan felt he could scream right now in pure happiness, but he could not because his voice was trembling when he spoke.
"Eve did you..." he did not finish his sentence as if he was in disbelief of what had happened.
As he looked at Eve, he no longer saw any Deep Blue fumes but Light Violet fumes radiating out of her.
He, too, felt his strength had increased to a whole different level.
Eve was shocked by the development, but soon they stared at each other before giving a happy yell.
[Freaking finally] she said, happiness visible in her eyes, [we finally did it], she said and jumped into Alan's arms.
He, too, was just as excited as her.
Sure they had the Psychic Orb given to them by Prof. Oak, and Alan was sure it could push Eve into Light Violet potential if he used it during her evolution, but what if he reached Light Violet before the said evolution?
He believed that it was very likely that they could hit Violet potential or at least get close enough to it.
As they both celebrated the increase in potential, they suddenly heard a cracking sound.
[It's happening right now?] asked Eve before she jumped from Alan's arms and ran towards the egg, eager to see their new family member.
Alan ran towards the egg and took it out of the incubator before placing it in his lap.
The best way to bond with a newborn pokemon is to make sure you are the first person it sees. This makes them acknowledge you as one of their own, someone they could trust.
As the cracks started to increase, so did Alan and Eve's heartbeat as they were eager to see what pokemon it would be.
'A Riolu?' thought Alan as it was most likely due to the intense amount of Aura released by the egg.
The whole egg was soon covered in cracks, and then a blinding flash of light covered the entire apartment Alan lived in.
As both Eve and Alan closed their eyes, the light soon dissipated, and a small pokemon appeared in place of the egg.
It had a humanoid body with two legs and two arms, with its fist, clenched tightly.
Alan opened his eyes, and the pokemon that came before his eyes left him stunned with surprise.
In the world of Lore, the pokemon that created everything, the God Arceus, decided not directly to meddle in the affairs of the world and to oversee his creation; Arceus made Legendary pokemons which watched over both pokemon and humans.
These Legendary pokemon did not meddle with the world, but whenever someone tried to disturb the balance of this world, they would take action, and every time it would end in destruction as they were too strong for the world to behold their powers.
Rarely, some of these Legendary pokemon would mate with different pokemons and produce offsprings which were known as Mystical pokemon.
They would be the same species as the Legendary pokemon that gave birth to them, but their bloodline would not be pure, making them not as strong as their legendary parent pokemon.
Then came the Pseudo-Legendary that were below Mystical Pokemons, but no one would ever say that they were weaker than them. The strength of Mystical and Pseudo-Legendary was debatable since each of them was a force to be reckoned with while they were always born with very high potential.
There was another group of pokemons in this world known as Mythical Pokemon.
They were called so because they were so rare; many questioned their very existence as not many had seen them. Lucario could be the very best example of this.
Not many trainers had a Lucario as a pokemon, and one would never see one in the wild. One of the reasons Lucario was so sought after by many was because it was one of the Mythical Pokemons in the World of Lore.
There were many examples of the Mystical Pokemons too, and the pokemon in Alan's lap was one of them.
The only sighting of this pokemon was in Isle of Armour, located in the Galar region.
It was a Legendary Pokemon feared by many for its ferociousness and the only legendary known to have an evolution.
After this Legendary had mated with a Lucario, it gave birth to this pokemon, which not only had strong Aura but great potential as well.
"Kub...," the pokemon looked at Alan, who had a stunned expression and punched him in the stomach, "...Fu."
As it did not like being ignored by Alan, it once again punched him in the stomach before it gave a short cry.
"Kub-kubfu."
Alan snapped out of his shock and looked at the little Kubfu with a soft smile, "sorry for ignoring you, little guy. Come, you should be hungry."
Like he took care of Eve when she was born, Alan fed Kubfu Miltank milk and other nutrients he had prepared beforehand.
[I would have never guessed that our new family member would be a Mythical Pokemon] said Eve as she looked at Kubfu with a smile on her face.
"You are big sister now," teased Alan as he saw Eve staring intently at Kubfu, "so you will have to make sure you take good care of him."
[Humph! You don't need to remind me of it]
"We need a name for him," said Alan before he started thinking about a possible name for Kubfu.
[Please don't give him a name which is 90% of his original name,] said Eve while shaking her head.
"Oi, I thought you really liked it when I gave it to you."
"I was one day old; anything you said would have made me happy, you dumbass. It would help if you improved your naming sense a bit.]
"Mind you," retorted Alan with a displeased look, "I have one of the best naming senses in the world..."
[Says the guy who calls his ability God Eyes, heh]
"...Except that one."
"Anyways," as he looked at the Kubfu who was silently drinking all the Miltank milk, Alan could not hold himself from pinching his cheeks, but he was immediately punched in the stomach once again.
"So you like to punch things?" asked Alan as he took care of Kubfu before he went to sleep.
While Alan was taking care of the newly born Kubfu, on a building adjacent to his, two figures stood on a tall building while they looked towards his direction.
"You both came to challenge me, but instead of him taking my son under him, he instead gave him to someone else to train. He even used all those things so my son could be born with great potential, all that so he could give it to someone else?"
"Are you sure he would be worthy of my son?" asked a pokemon with a tall body and a band wrapped around her head.
"You will know soon enough," said the other one. It was just as tall as the first and had a few strands of hair floating behind it with the wind.
"I might not be as strong as you, but that doesn't mean I am too weak for you to ignore," she said before she looked at the pokemon who was standing beside her, "Rio, if this kid does not live up to my expectati..."
"Then what?" asked Rio as he still looked towards Alan, as if checking something. He ignored the fact that the other pokemon was staring daggers at him.
'So he finally unlocked his aura? Is that Kubfu his Aura partner? His Aura is stronger than I imagined, this is going to be so much fun to watch.'
"You of all people should know I don't brag," he finally looked towards the other pokemon and spoke with a serious face, "it's about time we leave, Kanto is too far away and I need to be there without any delays. Same goes for you, I don't think your absence would go unnoticed by 'them'."
"Don't forget that you two owe me one," she said before she disappeared.
"Make us proud," said Rio before he gave one last look towards Alan and disappeared as well.
Without even noticing for a second that two strong pokemon were observing him, Alan placed Kubfu on a soft bed before he walked towards the training area to test his newfound strength.
[When are we going to Kanto? It has been so long since I met her]
"We leave for Kanto in a week, right after he has gone through the baby stage and enters Beginner (Low) stage. That is also when he can start training while we are on our journey," explained Alan as he picked up weights which were heavier than his usual ones, "as for meeting her? Even I am looking forward to it since it has been a while since I saw her. We also need to buy some gifts."
Eve nodded her head as she too tested herself learning all about Light Violet potential. The pokemon would always know what potential it is, according to what eve told Alan, it was one of the things they 'knew' since they were born.
[Have you thought about the name we are going to give him?]
"Yes, and I think it would be a very cool name for him," said Alan with a pleased expression as he was proud about how he found a suitable name for the baby pokemon.
Eve who had seen this many time suddenly had a bad feeling since she knew how 'good' her partner was at naming people or anything in general.
"Just like you, he only has one evolution," spoke Alan as he looked towards Kubfu who was soundly sleeping on the bed, "and the next stage he evolves into is Urshifu."
"Therefore, his name will be, Shin," he said with a proud look.
[Does all those things you said even relate to his name?]
"No."
[So you named him by using some letters from the next evolution and added one from your own?]
"Yes," replied Alan, "Shi from his next evolution and N from the last letter of my name. Thus, I came with the name, Shin."
Eve did not bother to reply and just shook her head while she looked at her younger brother with a sorry look.
She walked back towards her bed before she suddenly paused and asked Alan something he had not talked about.
[Did you see his potential?]
"How could I forget something so important?" he said, genuinely surprised that he had not checked Shin's potential till now.
He immediately activated his God Eyes and looked at Shin, and his face lost all colour as he looked at the fumes coming out from Shin's body.
[Oi, what is it?]
Alan looked at Eve as he could not bring out the words that were stuck in his mouth.
I know Kubfu is considered Legendary but, I am changing it along with three more things in the world of pokemon. I can assure you the other ones are nothing major, just his one is since I want to give a cool pokemon to our Mc.....
