Misty

Daikon stood there for a second stunned.

"S-sure. Come on in." he stuttered.

Daisy gave him a bright smile before walking into his room. She was wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt, she obviously changed from her nurse uniform from before.

"What a cute Espeon!" Daisy exclaimed as she saw Espeon on the bed.

Espeon looked at her before turning her head, ignoring her.

"I'm sorry. She is upset that you interrupted me brushing her." Daikon said sheepishly, showing Daisy the brush in his hand.

"I apologize." Daisy said to Espeon. She also saw Quilava and Dratini sleeping on the bed, her face was shocked when she saw Dratini. "I have never seen a Dratini that colour before. Is it a rare shiny?" Daisy asked Daikon.

Ignoring her question, Daikon asked his own. "What can I help you with Miss Daisy?"

She didn't press him about Dratini seeing that he didn't want to talk about it. "Nothing you can do. I am here to tell you that you should be careful about Doug." Daisy said, her tone was serious.

"The man from before? He didn't seem like much of a threat." Daikon dismissed it immediately.

"It's not him you need to worry about, it's his brother." Daisy said solemnly.

"His brother?" Daikon asked.

"Jared. He is the captain of the Cerulean police and he is very protective of his brother." Daisy explained.

"So what? He will come after me because I thrashed his brother? Surely the Gym leader will be able to constrain him?" Daikon said, still unperturbed about the situation.

"The gym leader tries to but he does everything through other people and never leaves any evidence." Daisy said, clearly frustrated about it.

"Evidence? Bullshit. Just kill him or give him a beating, it should send the message." Daikon said, as it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"That's against the law." Daisy frowned, a little shocked at Daikon's barbaric words.

"It is also against the law to kill someone because he talked to a girl but the 'police captain' doesn't seem to mind very much. Sounds to me that the gym leader is weak and can't control him." Daikon spoke harshly.

"My sister is not weak!" Daisy yelled before storming out of his room.

Daikon watched her go, no saying a word. Letting out a light sigh, he turned to Espeon and started to brush her again.

"You're the only girl I can handle." Daikon said as he brushed her fur.

Espeon let out a light purr in agreement.

The next morning Daikon headed upstairs and checked out the pokemon for sale. Nothing really caught Daikon's eye until he saw a snow white fox pokemon.

'Alola form Vulpix…' Daikon recited from memory. Though this region was new, the pokemon professors in Kanto were very excited due to the different forms of pokemon originally from the Kanto region.

This Vulpix was a perfect example, because of the cold temperatures the original fire type Vulpix adapted and changed into an ice type. These pokemon are called a regional variant.

'An ice type would bring something new to my team…' Daikon pondered on whether to bid or not.

First he decided to sell the pokemon he took from the dead robbers for some extra cash. Walking up to the receptionist, Daikon placed the four pokeballs on the counter and said, "I'd like to sell these pokemon please."

The male receptionist took the pokeballs and placed them on a machine that scanned them.

It read out in a computer voice: Muk, Weavile, Shiftry and Sableye. Healthy condition.

Taking the pokeballs off the machine the receptionist said, "They will be sold tomorrow." He took Daikon's trainer ID and registered it.

"Can I have an advance to purchase that Vulpix?" Daikon asked. It was being sold today and wanted to purchase it.

"Sorry but no." a short reply.

Dejected, Daikon left the third floor and headed downstairs. Looking towards the counter, he saw that Daisy wasn't working today.

Letting out dejected sigh, he proceeded out of the pokemon center and out into Cerulean City. The city was a mid sized city that had a couple of places he wanted to visit or at least see. The famous Cerulean Cave was known for it's crazy strong pokemon and was band to almost all trainers. The Berry Powder man lived here and was able to make different medicines from crushed berries.

Of course the Cerulean Gym was also well known because of their gym leader, Misty Williams. She was said to be the strongest gym leader in Kanto since Sabrina became part of the Elite 4.

The city seemed to be very busy today as people rushed past Daikon. Curious, he followed the crowd and saw a large stadium. On the wall read 'The Sensational Sisters!". Remembering Daisy, he touched his pocket thinking about the tickets she gave him.

'No point wasting them.' Daikon thought as he walked towards the entrance.

"Mom why can't I see the Sensational Sisters! Please please please!" A little girl cried as she looked at the stadium with tears.

"I'm sorry honey but I couldn't afford tickets." the mother said with guilt.

Looking at them, Daikon could tell they didn't come from a lot of money. The little girl's dress was faded and had been patched once or twice.

Daikon stopped and looked at them before walking over to them. He smiled kindly before squatting down and softly saying. "Do you want to see the show?"

The little girl nodded her head vigorously, her pigtails bouncing.

Daikon smiled, causing the little girl to blush. He stood up and handed the women two tickets for the show and said, "I hope she enjoys the show."

"No we can't accept this sir!" the mother said as she tried to give back the tickets. Daikon noticed that her hands were rough and callused.

'She is so young but looks like she has been through a lot.' Daikon thought as he thought of his mother.

"It is my gift. I hope she enjoys the show." Daikon gave her a kind smile before walking away, leaving the mother and her daughter staring at him.

'Well now what should I do for the rest of the day.' Daikon wondered as he walked through the empty town.

Finally he arrived at the large building which was Cerulean Gym. Entering, her could hear water splashing and a woman yelling.

"Use the water to your advantage Staryu! Don't get caught in his wake!"

"No no no! Use Rapid Spin and negate the attack!"

"Yes like that! Good job!"

Following the voice, Daikon found a young woman in jeans shorts wearing a bikini top. She had red hair with a strange ponytail sticking out of the side. She was standing beside a pool watching two pokemon battle as she gave directions to them.

[Staryu, the star shaped pokemon. Staryu's center section has an organ called the core that shines bright red. If you go to a beach toward the end of summer, the glowing cores of these Pokémon look like the stars in the sky.]

[Luvdisc, the rendezvous pokemon. Luvdisc live in shallow seas in the tropics. This heart-shaped Pokémon earned its name by swimming after loving couples it spotted in the ocean's waves.]

The two pokemon battled back and forth, the water churning. Finally Luvdisc finished the fight with a perfectly timed Hydropump, sending Starya out of the water.

Misty shook her head and walked over to the Staryu. Crouching down she gently patted it's head before saying, "Always remember to play to your strengths, not your opponents. Luvdisc is more agile in the water than you but you still tried to beat it with speed."

Returning Staryu to its pokeball, she looked up and saw Daikon.

"How can I help you kid?"
