Chapter 144 - Alto Mare, to Johto Region

Alto Mare, also known as the City of Water, is a location in Johto and the city where legendary Pokemon Latios & Latias live. Alto Mare is an isolated island south of Azalea Town. It is accessible via ferries near Cherrygrove City. It is a city of canals; a major mode of transport is by gondola.

The city is guarded by the Legendary Pokémon Latias and Latios, which are both commemorated in the city's Guardian Columns. In the distant past, the pair saved Alto Mare from the evils of a Trainer and their rampaging Pokémon Aerodactyl and Kabutops who sought to flood the city. The city gained its name Alto Mare, which means "high sea", from this very event.

Many other species of Pokémon can be found in Alto Mare, including Pidgey, Yanma, Murkrow, Quagsire, Chinchou, and Remoraid.

"Finally we are here." After saying goodbye to Saffron city and the Kanto region, the heroes finally were about to land at their destination. After leaving the Kanto with Brock and Sabrina, the trio has traveled to the Johto region. Then decided to take a ferry to Alto Mare which was an island south of Azalea Town. After one day of traveling, the trio finally was about to reach their destination.

"This city looks so beautiful." Itsuki had to admit he was feeling a little nostalgic. Itsuki's interest in Pokemon anime grew only after he watched the movie Latios and Latias and especially the ending of the movie, to this date made him feel a little sad and jealous. If it was Itsuki instead of Ash's place, then he wouldn't have let her go.

The whole Alto Mare city was designed on a city from Isaac's old world, Venice. Seeing the city that initially started Isaac's journey to become an Otaku, he felt very nostalgic.

Standing on the ferry veranda, the cold and refreshing wind gently struck his face and ruffled his hair. Just standing and looking at the city of Alto Mare which looks close yet far away, Itsuki felt a sense of relaxation. Standing there and looking at the deep blue sky made Isaac let his guard down and forget about all of his worries.

"Gyarados, are you enjoying yourself?" Once Isaac got on the ferry, he let his Gyarados out of the Pokeball along with his other Pokemon. As a water-type Pokemon, Gyarados naturally loved the water.

Gyarados! [Gyarados is feeling great. This is my first time swimming in the sea. I am enjoying every moment.] Gyarados has never seen the sea and Itsuki also never took his Pokemon to the sea.

"Good! But don't go too far. Make sure to return once the ferry reaches the dock." Gyarados nodded with a roar and then dived back into the sea.

"It's good to see that you're Pokemon are enjoying themselves." Itsuki looked at Brock who stood on his left side. Brock wore knee-length white pants and a loose white T-shirt with a round black hat. Wearing a black sunglass, Brock looked quite handsome in this outfit.

"I feel my Pokemon needed a vacation." Dragonite was flying freely above the clouds. Articuno chose to remain inside her Pokeball. Marshadow was exploring the ferry while hiding in the shadow. Sylveon was sleeping while Lucario was taking a sunbath and relaxing his muscles.

As for Zeraora, after Itsuki's defeat, Zeraora blamed herself and started training even harder than before. She didn't listen to Itsuki's words. Zeraora felt she had failed her siblings and most importantly Itsuki's expectations. Currently, she was meditating in her room and trying her best to further control her Aura.

And Itsuki still has to talk with Articuno regarding her future. Now that team rocket was gone, Itsuki wanted to ask whether she would continue to stay with him or leave him. As for Suzune, Itsuki had said goodbye to Suzune and promised that they would meet in the future.

Just like Brock, Itsuki also changed his usual outfit and changed into knee-length brown jeans and a light white color camp shirt. Itsuki had no choice but to wear black sunglasses to hide his face and a white round hat to cover his head. The strong visible muscles of Itsuki attracted a lot of attention, especially the females. While Brock desperately tried to find a girlfriend, girls were naturally attracted to Itsuki.

"I must admit man, you look so handsome. Somehow I am starting to regret bringing you with me." Brock almost shed tears of pain as he remembered the girls he proposed looked more interested in Itsuki. One girl even rejected brock by saying she wanted to become Itsuk's girlfriend.

Looking at how handsome Itsuki was, Brock felt life was too unfair. If Brock could have even 10 percent of Itsuiki's handsomeness, then he was sure girls would line up to become his girlfriend. Though the last part is exaggerating.

"Look Brock, though I don't have any experience with relationship matters, I think you should take things easy. You can't just fall for every woman you met regardless of their age. The first step of finding a girlfriend is to set and lock your eyes and heart for only one woman." Itsuki said while patting Brock's shoulder. Brock's carefree and kind attitude made it easier for Itsuki to get along with him.

Sigh!

Brock sighed as he shook his head. "It's not easy. It's very hard to choose one diamond when you see hundreds of diamonds walking past you." Itsuki's right eye started twitching hearing Brock's words.

"We're about to reach the dock, why don't you go and pack my and your bags." While it was true that Brock and Itsuki had gotten closer and become good friends, Brock felt Itsuki was only taking advantage of their friendship.

"Now you're making me do your work. Na, I was damn wrong to bring you with me." Suppressing his smile, Itsuki patted Brock's right shoulder. "Don't worry, in the future, I will help you find a good and beautiful girlfriend." Considering how famous Itsuki was with girls, Brock didn't doubt Itsuki's words.

"Okay fine. But only this time." Saying that Brock left, leaving him and Sabrina alone.

"Are you going to help Brock find a girlfriend?" After traveling with Brock and seeing how he proposed to every beautiful girl he met on the way, Sabrina felt it be impossible for Brock to find a woman.

Itsuki looked at Sabrina he couldn't help but think how beautiful she looked in her white long floral dress. "Currently Brock is going through something that I call rainbow phase." With an innocent face, Sabrina tilted her head in confusion and looked at Itsuki. "What is this rainbow phase?"

"A long time ago, my mother told me that boys go through a phase where they find every girl attracted and started having a crush on every girl they met. She called this phase the rainbow phase." Though Itsuki never experienced this so-called rainbow phase in his 2nd life. It might be because he retains his memories from his previous life.

10 minutes later,

Itsuki called back his other Pokemon except for Sylveon who wanted to stay out and explore. "Wow, this place is so beautiful." For once instead of looking at girl, Brock enjoyed looking at the scenery.

Standing right to Itsuki, Sabrina's angelic beauty had attracted some attention. Sabrina purposely stood closer to Itsuki as if to tell others, girls, that this handsome young man is hers.

As the trio with Sylveon walked into the city, no one noticed a pair of eyes looking at Itsuki. Itsuki as if sensing something, stopped walking for a moment and turned around to see.

"What happened?" Sabrina asked.

"I just felt someone or something was staring at me. Or maybe I am just overthinking." No matter where Itsuki goes, girls would always stare at him. He had long gotten used to being stared at by others.
