146 Chapter 145 - 120 years of Blood war
The city named Alto Mare is always bustling and beaming with lights. People from all over the world would come to visit this place. One of the major things that attract people to this place is the myth of Latios and Latias. Legend has it that Latios and Latias for many generations have been protecting this city from evil to this date. People came here in hope of getting the chance to meet a legendary Pokemon.

Apart from that Alto Mare, known also as the "City of Canals," "The Floating City," and "Serenissima," is arguably one of Johto's most picturesque cities. With its winding canals, striking architecture, and beautiful bridges. Alto Mare is unique environmentally, architecturally, and historically.
It was thought that 5th century Alto Mare people were forced to flee from the mainland because of conquerors and invaders of that time. The idea was that building Alto Mare on top of its lagoons provided protections that the original settlers sought after.

Walking amidst the crowd, Brock, Itsuki, Sabrina, and Sylveon looked around admiring the beauty of the city. "It was said that during the 5th centuries or around those times, humans lived as different tribes. One tribe would always attack the other. It wasn't till the late 9th century when a man who managed to control a powerful Pokemon defeated all the other tribes and established himself as the king after occupying 1/4th of the Johto region. It was only because of the king that the people of Jhoto learned how to control Pokemon."

"Catching Pokemon without Pokeball, I can't imagine how difficult that must have been." Brock said as he kept looking around. While Itsuki and Sabrina were appreciating the beauty of this place, Brock was appreciating the beautiful woman that came from different parts of the world.
"They could have just made Pokeball and used the Pokeballs to catch Pokemon." Sabrina innocently asked while looking at Itsuki.

To which Itsuki shook his head with a helpless smile. "Sabrina, you never even touched the history, did you? It was only in the late 19th century when some humans of the world began to bring revolution to the technology of the world. At first, the Pokeballs were made as a product that was meant to be used as a weapon. Pokeballs were given to soldiers. Soldiers would capture wild Pokemon and use them in the battle against other regions."

"It was only after the mid-20th century that the war showed signs of stopping and by 1970 the world war completely stopped. After the war stopped, decades later regions came up with the Champions League where strongest Trainers of each region would fight in a tournament and determine the strongest Trainer in the world." Sabrina looked as if she has been enlightened.

"Itsuki, I wasn't expecting you to know this much." Nowadays most young generations do give importance to the history and tend to avoid it.
"I was just too interested in historical topics. I spent most of my school days studying various topics, one of those topics was about history." As a person who has been reincarnated into the Pokemon world, Itsuki did research to learn as much as he can about the history of this world.

The first and most long war in human history started in 1849 when the Unova region invaded and tried to conquer parts of the Hoenn region. The whole world falls into chaos. Every region waged war in hope of expanding its territories. Only Alola and orange Islands choose to stay out of the war and instead both island nations took the neutral stand and refused to side with any party. The legendary Pokemon of each region choose to stay out of the war and let the humans fight on their own. About 15 to 20 years after the war began, a brilliant scientist of that time created the first-ever Pokeball. Within another 10 years, the Pokeball was replicated and began to be used by every region.

The war lasted for more than a hundred which resulted in the deaths of estimation more than 400 million people. Countess cities were flooded in blood, covered in mountains of skeletons and corpses. Blood was flowing everywhere. Many great cities were destroyed. Landmarks were changed, the population had significantly dropped and the poverty rate was increasing. When the new generation replaced the old government, they ultimately choose to end this meaningless war in hope of creating a brighter future for mankind. One by one, all the regions started to stop the war and release the captured territories of other regions. The War officially ended in 1969 when all the regions came forward to sign a peace treaty and created World Peace Making Authority similar to the UN.

Itsuki would have never thought that this world would have such complex history. He was glad that no one created or managed to create any nuclear weapons. Otherwise, more than a hundred years of war would have destroyed the whole world itself.
Fortunately, when the war ended many legendary Pokemon came to help the People and restore the damage that has been done to the motherland in that 120 years of war.

Itsuki snapped out of his thoughts when Sabrina started to shake his right hand while calling out his name. "What is it?"
"I want to go there." Both Brock and Itsuki followed the direction of Sabrina's index finger and saw a big and luxurious doll shop. There were many Pokemon doll figures in the shop. The whole shop was 20 meters long and was filled with a crowd. Mostly women and children entered the shop. There was all kind of dolls.

"You want to buy dolls?" Itsuki did see a small doll in Sabrina's house. Sabrina nodded her head while looking at the doll shop. Itsuki could see shining stars in her eyes. This was the first time Itsuki had seen Sabrina so excited about something.
"In that case, I will leave you with Itsuki. I also have some things that I wish to buy for my little siblings. Let's meet at the hotel we booked." Saying that Brock crossed the bridge and headed in the opposite direction.

"Let's go." Without caring about Brock's sudden departure, Sabrina took Itsuki's right arm and dragged him towards the doll shop. While walking Itsuki had no choice but to put Sylveon in the Pokeball since this part of the street was super crowded and was very difficult to walk around.
When Both Sabrina and Itsuki managed to get near the entrance, Itsuki stopped walking. "Aren't you going with me?" Sabrina asked. Itsuki shook his head and said. "I will wait outside. Take your time." Sabrina nodded her head and entered the shop.

"Now let's see where you're hiding." The reason Itsuki didn't go with Sabrina was that he had felt someone or some Pokemon was staring at him.
"This being has been following us ever since we stepped foot in his place." Itsuki walked around trying to find the thing that was following them for a while now. As Itsuki walked around the bridge, from the crowd someone suddenly grabbed Itsuki's hat and ran away with it.

"What the...." Itsuki quickly turned back, only to see a girl in black hair running to the alley next to the doll shop. The girl's running speed surprised Itsuki. For a human, she was moving too quickly.
"Hey wait," Itsuki shouted as he also ran to get his hat back and also to find who that girl was. Itsuki also used his full speed and disappeared from the crowd. The normal people only felt a gust of wind blowing past them.

Itsuki chased the girl to the alley at his full speed. Just when Itsuki entered the alley, he saw the girl take a right turn and enter another alley. "How is she moving that fast? She can't an Aura master since I don't sense any Aura coming from her. There is definitely something mysterious about this girl." Itsuki covered his entire body in Aura which increased Itsuki's speed by 2 times.

Itsuki arrived at the second alley and instead of seeing a black-haired girl what he saw shocked him.
