Chapter 111 - Indigo League; Itsuki vs Gary [I]

Dragonite!!!!!!

The loud roar of Dragonite was the roar of a Pokémon that had finally managed to escape its prison. The loud roar of Dragonite itself caused the air to spread in all directions as Gary and Itsuki both felt the air. Both Itsuki and Gary's clothes and hair continuously billow upwards as if caught in a strong breeze.

The mighty roar of Dragonite shook the stadium to its core. The crowd was going wild. No one was expecting to see another Pseudo-Legendary in the Indigo League. Dragon type Pokémon like Garchomp and Dragonite had the potential to even defeat Legendary Pokémon. These Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon are very rare to find. For a normal person seeing two Pseudo-Legendary in the Indigo League was a huge thing for them.

On the other hand, Gary, Ash and Oak all looked at Itsuki in shock as their faces turned ugly.

The three members of Oak family were thinking that other than Zeraora, rest of Itsuki's Pokémon would be weak and easily will be defeated by a Gary or Ash. Itsuki just slapped their faces and woke them up from the delusions. It was as if Itsuki's way of telling them that he was anything but weak.

[Its ******* Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon. Michael I don't care how strong or talented Gary is but defeating two 5th order Pokémon is impossible even for him.] At that moment, the crowd really should have seen the ugly and dark faces of Michael which looked like he had just eaten shit.

The shock was not limited to three members of Oak family. Itsuki's parents, Cooper, Luna, Serena, Cynthia, Sabrina, Blaine, Misty's three sisters, Brock, Erika, Suzune, Barry, Cameron everyone was shocked to see the mighty Dragonite.

All the remaining 7 participants except for Cynthia suddenly felt their chances of winning the Indigo League had dropped significantly. While Cynthia had already kind of expected this but nonetheless she too was very surprised.

The crowd once again started to cheer for Itsuki and Dragonite.

Itsuki's name could be heard all the over the stadium. While Itsuki turned his focus to his Dragonite.

After their 15 days of harsh training, Dragonite finally evolved. After evolving Dragonite directly jumped to level 42. Itsuki then made Dragonite learn two new moves and refine her previous moves which further raised her level to 43.

Dragonite greatly differ from their sea serpent-like pre-evolved forms. Both Dratini and Dragonair had a blue coloring with no limbs or wings [excluding the wing-like ears of Dragonair]. Dragonite are large, orange, bipedal dragons with two turquoise wings on its back. Dragonite largely resembles a Charizard, as both have the same orange coloring, and the same blue underside of their wings, except for its lack of a flame on the end of their tails, and a somewhat rounder, and friendlier appearance.

Dragonite resembles a proper looking European dragon, unlike its pre-evolved forms Dratini and Dragonair, which are more aligned towards Eastern ones.

Gary hated it when people ignored him and cheered for Itsuki. This match was supposed to be his spotlight. This match is suppose to be the match where he creates his strong and positive image in people's mind but Itsuki ruined everything. Gary felt anger was boiling inside of him.

"Scizor Agility to boost your speed and then use steel wings."

Scizor's body shined in red light as the next moment his wings turned steel. Scizor rushed at Dragonite who was flying on the ground with her arms folded.

In few seconds Scizor closed the 30 meters distance between them and was only 10 meters away Dragonite. Gary smiled when he saw Itsuki not giving any orders to Dragonite.

At the last moment, Itsuki calm tone was heard all over the stadium. "Dragonite use thunder punch."

When Scizor was only 5 meters away from Dragonite, the right palm of Dragonite wrapped in yellow sparkling thunder. With another mighty roar Dragonite thunder punch hit Scizor even before he could react.

Bang!

The thunder punch landed on Scizor's face and sent him flying more than 20 meters away.

Scizor felt the bones in his face was forcefully being crushed from that punch. Even a part of Scizor skull was cracked from the thunder punch. The power gap between level 39 and level 43 Pokémon is simply too big.

Blood rolled down Scizor face. Scizor trembled as he tried his utter best to stand up. Gary clenched his fists even more tightly than before. Gary was currently feeling helpless, anger, humiliation and regret.

Gary didn't lose his calm unlike some normal average trainer. Gary knew to fight with Dragonite he will need something stronger.

'For now let's try to suck out and exhaust Dragonite stamina as much as possible.' Gary thought.

"Scizor use sword dance." Scizor calmed and slowed down his breathing.

Scizor then closed his eyes as several blue glowing swords rotated around Scizor in circle and the swords then cross together. Scizor then glowed red, which raised his attack power by one level.

After using sword dance, Scizor looked little better than before. But Itsuki knew that this change was only temporarily. Soon Scizor will lose its remaining stamina and fall down.

"Use Air slash." Two light blue saw-like energy blades form, and Scizor swings his arms, throwing the four energy blades at the Dragonite.

"Dragonite dodge." Dragonite sidestepped and easily dodged the attack. Seeing this Gary gritted his teethes. It felt like Itsuki was playing with him.

"Scizor use X-Scissor." Gary loudly roared. By now most people had understood that it was over for Scizor but Gary was still stubbornly forcing an injured Scizor to fight a meaningless battle.

Scizor's claws glow light green as he again charged at Dragonite. Everyone knew what was going to happen to Scizor.

"Dragonite use another thunder punch." This time Dragonite charged at injured Scizor who was also charging at Dragonite but at much lower speed than before.

Seconds later Scizor found himself flying in the air as his gradually lost his consciousness in the dark.

Dragonite landed the second punch at Scizor's stomach. Dragonite tried to hold back as much as she could as another full powered attack could directly even kill Scizor.

Bang!

Scizor landed on the ground like a corpse. Gary didn't even looked at his injured Pokémon. He glared at Itsuki and pulled out another of his Pokémon.

Meanwhile the team of nurse joy arrived and carried Scizor out of the battlefield. "Itsuki don't think you have won yet."

As the Pokeball opened its and revealing a red light that took the shape of a Pokemon. As the red light disappeared the view Gary's next Pokémon was revealed to everyone.

Magmar!

Magmar's body is designed to let it camouflage itself in fire, so it is mainly red and yellow all over. It has a flame pattern on its torso, and a fire on its tail, similar to Charmander and Chimchar. It has a large beak that can spit out fire, thus giving it the species name the 'Spitfire' Pokémon.

[ Magmar have the ability Flame Body. Flame Body has a 30% chance of burning a foe that physically attacks Magmar. Its body temperature is 2,200 Degrees Fahrenheit. Its body shimmers like the sun and its breath can cause miniature heat waves around it. I think Gary's Magmar have 50 percent chances of defeating Itsuki's Dragonite.]

Itsuki couldn't help but frown as he didn't expect Gary to have another 5th order Pokemon. 'It looks like Oak is behind this as well. I won't be surprised if rest of Gary's Pokémon are also 5th order.'

"Itsuki try defeating my Magmar." The arrogant look on Gary's face returned. He was sure that he could defeat Dragonite.

"Magmar use Fire Blast." Magmar spits flames from its mouth which take the shape of the kanji 大 at Dragonite.

"Dragonite use steel wings." The wings of Dragonite turned to steel as she flew towards the Fire blast.

Under the watch of more than millions of people Dragonite with her steel wings slapped of the fire blast towards the ground as she kept flying towards the Magmar. It looked like Fire blast had no affect on Dragonite because of Steel wings.

Seeing Dragonite was approaching, Gary ordered Magmar to use.

"Flare Blitz"

"Dragonite keep using steel wings and go for it." Itsuki clenched his fist as he loudly roared at the top of his lungs. Itsuki's words were heard throughout the stadium. His words were filled with excitement and burning passion. Everyone in the stadium could feel his passion as the battle progressed.
