111 Chapter 110 - Indigo League; Itsuki vs Gary starting!

Burst ! Burst!

The loud yet pleasant sounds of the fireworks shook the entire stadium of Saffron city. Countless people were taking pictures of such spectacular, shimmering, glittering, twinkling scene. It's not everyday that you get to see such amazing thing.

The opening of the 2nd day of the Indigo League started with the sky greeting the crowd in the stadium and saying the names of the participants.

Itsuki and Cynthia stood together and watched the fireworks that lit the morning sky and brightened everyone's mood. The fireworks was like congratulating both Cynthia and Itsuki for reaching this far. It was finally a moment where they felt all of their hard work had been appreciated.

After more than 5 minutes of continuous loud 'burst' sounds the fireworks finally came to an end. The ending of the fireworks was celebrated by a loud wave of applause from the audience.

"Michael, seeing such wonderful scene I remember a quote from my younger days."

"Go ahead Jerry."

"After a hurricane comes a rainbow...Maybe the reason why all the doors are closed so you could open one that leads you to the perfect road...Cause' baby you're a firework!"

"Wow, I never expected you to say such romantic quote. I am sure I would have fallen for you if you were a girl." Michael jokingly said.

"Fortunately you're not. Leaving that aside, first of all I would like to greet everyone here with a loud and welcoming - Good Morning Saffron city." Many enthusiastic people loudly replied back which made the scene even more awesome to watch.

[Yesterday 1,000 of our young heros had participated in the Indigo League and only 10 of the most brilliant trainers were able to came at the top of the table. Yesterday we made history in the records of Kanto League. And today we are here to set up a new page of history.]

[Today will be the day that each and everyone of you will remember for the rest of your life. So without any further delay let us start the Last and most exciting day of the Indigo League with your commentators Michael and Jerry.]

The referee and several nurse joy came out with their equipment. They were ready and 100 confident that they won't let a single Pokémon die from injury.

[First match will be between two trainers who have dominated their opponents. If in case any forgot what Itsuki and Gary did to their opponents then they can take a quick look at the highlights.] The screen then showed how Gary with his Blastoise and Itsuki with his Zeraora dominated in their respective matches.

[Itsuki is here from Kalos Region while Gary is our own, son of the world famous scientist Professor Oak. If Gary managed to defeat Itsuki today, then his advancement to the semi-finals is basically confirmed and the chances of Kanto region winning and defending this year's championship will increase.]

Kagami, Luna, Cynthia, Suzune, Rui, Carolina, Shizuka, Grace, Serena, Sabrina, Brock, Blaine, Erika, Cooper and all the people that personally knew Itsuki, all the people that are not from Kanto region frowned upon hearing the commentator words.

From his words it was clear that he and most of the Kanto Association were supporting Gary and not Itsuki. The commentator was trying to influence the Kanto's people by his words and trying to get them cheer for Gary.

"Michael you sly fox." Unlike yesterday today everyone was sitting together in the VIP room.

Cooper instantly realized that the commentator was targeting Itsuki.

"He purposely mentioned Professor Oak's name and also pointed out the fact that Itsuki is not from Kanto to get the Kanto's audience support for Gary."

Itsuki didn't care about Michael's words. Itsuki was here to win the Indigo League championship and realize one of his childhood dreams. From the beginning Itsuki only cared about winning. If Itsuki had fought for audience and attention than he could have never participated in the League instead he would have become a entertainer.

Michael's words successfully managed to separate the audience in two. While many people saw the truth and knew that Michael was just trying to use them for dirty politics some people were just too blind and fall for his sly words.

[Let us welcome the rising star of Kanto. The next big rising Sun that will lead our Kanto to glory, Gary Oak.] Again Michael's words managed to ignite that feeling of nationalism inside many hot blooded young males and females.

Gary slowly walked from the northern entrance. As soon as Gary appeared in the screen, all the hot blooded young males and females of Kanto loudly cheered for him.

Gary! Applause×2 Gary!

Gary never thought he would receive such huge overwhelming cheers from the crowd. 'It seems giving Michael some extra money was totally worth it.'

It was Gary's dream to receive such reaction from the crowd. The reaction was completely opposite of what he received during his last match.

The right palm of Gary ran through his hair as Gary walked to the battlefield while trying his best to act cool.

Gary was wearing luxurious watch, his clothes and shoes was bought from famous luxurious company.

As Gary walked down as waved at the crowd that was going wild for him.

Oak and Evan smiled seeing this. Oak obviously knew that his grandson had done something shady. Oak was very happy the way Gary was presenting himself to the world. Oak felt Gary was the perfect example of what he was during his young days.

The loud cheers quiet down after Gary resched the battlefield.

[Now Let us welcome Kagami Itsuki from Kalos Region] Unlike Gary, Michael kept Itsuki's introduced short. Some people felt that Michael was forcing himself to introduce Itsuki. They could feel the reluctant in his tone. He was only doing it because it's his job. There was no enthusiasm in his tone.

The camera then shifted to Itsuki. Today Itsuki was wearing a complete different outfit. He was wearing brown brogue. Slim black jeans with whitw T-shirt and a brown Leather Jacket over it.

He was wearing complete new outfit which gave him a different look. Itsuki looked more fresh and handsome than yesterday.

How can the girls even after seeing such otherworldly handsome male could keep their mouth shut.

In just few seconds the girls who previously cheered for Gary now was practically screaming for Itsuki. The loud cheers of the audience shook the entire stadium to its core.

Few moments ago, Gary was flexing about his popularity but looking at Itsuki who without even trying managed to get the audience wild, Gary felt bitter. Thsi was the charm of Itsuki. No matter where he went or what he did, he always came first and top in everything.

Gary hated Itsuki because he felt jealous of him. Moments like this is the reason why Gary hates Itsuki so much.

Itsuki didn't stopped to wave at the crowd. He simply walked down with a grin on his face.

All the cheers died down when Itsuki reached the battlefield. Gary and Itsuki looked into each other's eyes.

Gary showed a proud look as he threw his Pokeball in the air.

Ding!

With a click sound, Gary's first Pokémon had appeared kn from of the audience. It was not his Blastoise, it was another Pokémon that Gary hadn't shown in the Indigo League.

[It's a Scizor. Who would have thought that Gary would choose Scizor as his first Pokémon. It seems Gary is following is plans.] Michael wasn't going to let any chance of spitting shits about Gary.

Scizor is known as the Pincer Pokémon.

Scizor is a red, metal, ant-like Pokémon with yellow and black patterns on its pincers which resemble an eye pattern. Its body consists of three main parts: the torso, the abdomen and the head. It stands on two legs and has a pair of small wings located on its back which are used to control its body temperature, rather than flying. Scizor's habitat is lush and vast where it can reside with the rest of the swarm.

Scizor evolves from the Bug/Flying type Scyther, thus losing its Flying type upon evolution - a rare occurrence for Pokémon.
