After the passing of three months, Eddie was still stuck under the ISAS confinement base, conducting experiments and running tests on their atypical specimen. And although he was not alone, since he had his work and Daisy. He was lonely.
Often times when the room wasn't occupied with the assigned agents and Daisy had also excused herself to a lunch break or having a blind date and needed him to cover her shift for her. He would spend those times talking and chatting to the extraterrestrial entity which was being preserved in a human sized capsule that was referred to as a cryogenic pod.
It was a single device designed to freeze a person in cryogenic suspension and contained all equipment necessary to put the person into cryogenic sleep, and wake it up from it. But the alien wasn't the only sleeping being in the room. Eddie had also decided to take a light nap. He was feeling very tired since they had spent the other day performing experiments on the alien's specimen. It was not really his area or specialty. But with the help of Daisy, they both were able to make some progress.
Then all of a sudden he was abruptly woken up by rubbling sounds, it sounded like someone trying to speak underwater. He glanced at the cryogenic pod and was perplexed when he noticed the alien was finally awake and alive. It was struggling through all desperate means to earn it's release.
He quickly got up and rushed to a set of heavy complex machines and began dabbing his fingers on multiple keys in attempts to coax the situation. But suddenly his hands froze as he heard a light long lingering whispers in his head. He couldn't understand the words. It had no meaning, made no sense and yet it felt very compelling. So much that he lost control of his sense of reason and body. And was turned into a puppet.
While being controlled, he subconsciously pushed a certain red button that opened the pod and unleashed the imminent danger. Water splashed out from the capsule and so did the creature which was inside. It gradually got up and made a squealing sound that was so unpleasant to his ears that it almost burst he's eardrums.
He stumbled to ground as soon as he realized his mistake. The alien steadily approached him like a bloodlusted predator, as it's frost blackened eyes glistened with hate and anger.
It's face gradually split in five like a blooming flower's petals. And unveiled what looked like a set of monstrous vampire like teeth aligned in a round circular pattern. Like a deep tube of unending poking razors.
"Grrrrhggg." The alien snarled at him like an angered tigress.
"Holy fuck!. Security!!!" Eddie yelled, "Stay the fuck away from me yo...you freak of nature!.
But his mouth instantly ran dry as soon as he was picked up by the alien and raised above the floor. The alien's three fingers were clasped around his neck as it's claws slowly penetrated into his flesh. His breathing became erratic as he wiggled and struggled desperately to free himself. But he's efforts yielded nothing as the alien's encroaching jaws threatened to bit off his head.
"Fuck. Fuck. Fuc..." He cursed.
He was filled with beads of prescription as the alien's saliva dripped down his face. He closed his eyes and awaited his death. He had been in many near death situations, but never did he imagine being eaten alive by an outer space monster.
But in the nick of time Daisy intervened. She fired at the alien with a certain electrifying gun that dealt no damage to it, but instead to it's victim. Eddie grunted and yelled in pains as the electricity coursed through his veins. The alien suddenly let go off him and ferociously rushed towards her.
She shot at it once more but the alien evaded the shot like it was nothing. It pounced on her and sank it's canines into her flesh. She cried out for help as the alien began to feast on her. Fortunately her cries were heard as another shot was fired from behind. A small syringe punctured into the alien's skin and it's contents emptied into it's system.
It's vision became blur and it's limbs paralyzed, as it slumped ontop of her like a log. She tried pushing it aside but it was too heavy. Eddie who'd fired the finishing shot and potentially saved her life, limped to her and pushed the alien's motionless body off her.
"Are you alright?." He asked, his breathing husky and unsteady.
"Yeah I guess." She grunted and says, "It didn't chew off much, so am okay."
He helped her get up as she asked. "Is it gonna be okay?."
"Yeah I guess. I used a tranquilizer, so it should be fine."
"What kind of tranquilizer?." She asks, "I hope it's not the blue one?."
"It is the blue one." He said, in a tensed and anxious voice.
"Fuck me." She swore. He would have found it amusing since she was not the type to use swear words. But he was too paralyzed by fear that it didn't cross his mind.
"What is it?."
"It's dead. We killed it."
"Holy fuck...."
