New Realm

The sound of metallic weapons hitting a solid surface and the sound of rock explosion could be heard at this place. Yes, Kai was dodging all the attacks of the humanoid reptilian which was the Kobold.

Huff... Huff... Huff...

Luckily, he managed to get 30 meters distance away from them and was able to catch up with his breathing.

"Shit! I tried to cut that monster with this rusty world, however, it didn't work out because of their scales." He said inwardly and looked around, thinking where the possible route he could go.

Swoosh!

He went to the right side with all of his speed, then used the rocks and posts to block his existence. By doing this, the monster would surely be having a hard time finding him, at the same time, would have the opportunity to think what were the possible ways to defeat them.

Monsters' spears continued slashing and couldn't help for the posts to collide one by one. Or to be more accurate, the Kobold had no intention of wasting their time for finding the rat.

"This monster parade! It's decreasing my survival rate in this dungeon! But what could I do? I should do something or else they're going to kill me without knowing why I suddenly drowned in this kind of place." Kai immediately dove to the ground and rolled several times after hearing the keen sound coming in his direction.

Boom!

Another explosion exactly transpired to the place where he was leaning his back earlier. Yes, the monsters would not like to give him a chance to recover his stamina.

"I can feel my chest is getting heavy and my legs..." Kai uttered to himself as he was well aware if this situation continued, the monsters can easily kill him.

Somehow, Kai was still lucky. Why? It was because the monster's parade usually consisted of hundred of monsters. But in his case, he was just facing 5 or 10 monsters of the same species.

"I should stop running and give all that I got to kill them."

And all of a sudden, Kai whirled around and face one of the monsters persistent to chase him. It was 10 meters away from him while the others had 80 to 90 meters distance within his location.

Swoosh!

After the monster noticed him stop, it immediately held its spear and charged toward Kai. It pushed forward its spear straightforwardly planning to stab the human directly in his chest. However, Kai stepped forward and used the rusty sword to block the attack, he then swung it upward to create an opening.

"This is time..."

In his mind, he just had a small time to use the opening and inflict higher damage on this monster. Without making any second thought, he advanced his feet and changed the position of his sword, it looked like he was going to stab the monster.

Well, that was a good idea since wielding his sword horizontally or vertically wasn't that effective as their scales protected them. So if he used the sword's endpoint there was a high chance it would puncture the monster.

Clang!

Suddenly, his eyes were being widened after he saw his sword break into two pieces and rapidly whirled in the air before its landed. It seemed like the monster's durability was not enough to break Kai's weapon.

Argh!

The monster groaned in agony as it was still the strong force given by that attack affected its body.

At this point, he had two options. It's either to run away from the monster or snatch the weapon that was in the monster's grasp.

Of course, he picked the second option knowing that he was nowhere to go if he choose the first option.

Thud!

When the monster advanced its head and seemed to be using its razor teeth to counter-attack. Kai quickly kicked its stomach to increase their distance from each other, then while the monster was falling to the ground. He grabbed the spear and give another kick as the monster was also fighting for its weapon.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Another two kicks on the monster's stomach and one in its head. With that, Kai successfully took over the weapon.

He clenched the handle with both hands, but his hands were near to the spear's endpoint. Why? It was just simple, it was because of the spear's size. To be exact, he was doing it in order to immediately stab his opponent since the other monsters already spotted them.

Even though he was several cuts on his ankles as the Kobold's nails were holding them. Still, he swung the spear downward and kept stabbing the monster's chest until it lose its life.

Stink and slimy blood were splashing on his face and chest. He just stopped when the new screen appeared right before his eyes, showing that he already killed the monster.

"It's done... Four to go!" Kai didn't have the time to seize the core as the Kobold already appeared in his behind.

First, he pulled the spear that was stuck on the monster's chest. After that, he dashed toward the monster that was coming at him at a rapid speed.

With enough distance, he swung the sword just like he was making an arc. Nevertheless, the Kobold intercepted it by simply swiping the spear and continue to charge.

Eehk!

The monster uplifted its spear so that the momentum was coming from above, then it swung downward. By this, he could see the other opening its chest.

"Fuck, This is hard! The monster pushed my weapon, I can't go back with my fighting composure." He uttered to his mind while greeting his teeth.

At this juncture, Kai was forced to let go of his spear as he doesn't want his arms to follow it. He then dashed to the right side and used his leg to kick the monster's stomach.

The monster just scoffed but that attack didn't damage the Kobold. Nevertheless, this wasn't the main reason why Kai was kicked in the stomach, it was he wanted to give him extra duration to shift his position and dodged the attack.

Boom!

Just like that, Kai dodge the massive explosion created by the monster and also picked up the spear. He used the brown smoke that enveloped them and stabbed the monster in the back while it was not aware.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

One stab wasn't enough to kill the Kobold, so he aimed for its head, stomach, and chest which was the parson could easily die.

"This is fun! I can now easily kill them without taking any type of injury. However, I should not be overjoyed with the outcome since my stamina is depleting. I must end this fight!"

Kai conquered all the three remaining monsters at once. Although, he wasn't familiar with his weapon, still, he was doing everything he could just to survive in this place.

The battle between Kai and Kobold lasted more or less 35 minutes. The monsters continued to be aggressive and activated the traps they had been set up here. Yet, it was enough to kill Kai even though he received mild slashes all over his body and one severe stab in his right leg.

"This is bad... I'm having now hazy vision I can barely understand the context on my screen." He said inwardly before hearing the familiar tone inside his head.

Another screen popped out, indicating that he already accomplished all the things he needed to do in this dungeon.
