Chapter 1

Anya's Pov

I looked in the mirror and straightened her tie once again.

The uniform looked good on me and I smiled as I tied her hair in a pony.

Then I heard her maid's voice, 'Miss Anya the chauffeur is here, you need to come down.'

I quickly picked up my handbag and my I-pad and walked down the stairs to the dining room.

My mom and dad had already gone off to work so my maid made me breakfast .I quickly ate my croissant and oatmeal and left my house.

I sat in my car and then the chauffeur started to drive.I quickly took out my phone and started watching the last episode of the k-drama that I had not been able to watch last night.

I had only finished half of it when the car stopped.I looked outside my window and saw a bunch of kids getting out of their cars , some with their drivers while a few with their parents.

I looked at the school.It was humongous with a big lawn in the front and a private driveway for the cars of the students.

This was it .

This was Shinhwa Highschool.

It was the number one school in South Korea which only admitted the children of rich men and women. This school also admitted a few students on scholarship every year and these students were exceptionally smart.

As she gets out from the car I recognized a familiar face.Its was my friend Yuna. I quickly walked towards her when someone 'boohed' me from behind .I turned around and realized it was Soyoon. She was Yuna's neighbour and one of my close friends. I laughed and then both of us walked towards Yuna .

When Yuna saw us, she frantically started waving her hands with a smile on her face.We quickly hugged each other and started talking about our summer breaks.

That's when we saw a pretty girl in a worn out uniform.She had her hair tied in a low pony and carried an old fashioned school bag.Just one glance and all three of us knew that she was one of the few students who had been admitted on a scholarship.We didn't pay much attention to her and resumed our previous conversation in which we were discussing which k-pop idol we would marry.

Then suddenly all the girls started running towards the entrance and were pushing each other along the way.

I had no idea what was happening so I asked Yuna who had already taken out her pocket mirror and was now applying a fresh layer of lip gloss.

She replied, 'Anya didn't you read the school blog that I had sent you last week?' I looked at her with guilt. She sighed and said, 'You really need to get your head out of those korean dramas.Just come with me quick.'Then she snatched both Soyoon's and my hand and quickly pushed through the crowd.

After a struggle of 5 minutes we reached the front of the group. That's when I saw three guys get off their luxurious cars.Each one of them had really handsome faces and two of them had black hair while one had brown hair.

Then suddenly from between the crowd the shabby uniform girl who was looking down at a map in her hands walked straight.The crowd which earlier had been fighting to get in the front parted as she walked oblivious of her surroundings.

Everyone looked at her with curiosity in their eyes.She kept on walking until her head banged into one of the three boys and the coffee she had been holding fell on his uniform.That's when she snapped out of her world and started apologizing quickly to the guy she had spilled coffee on and she started telling him that she would dry clean his uniform and give it back to him.

The guy looked at her and then smirked . He said, 'You owe me 100 million won.'

The girl looked at him incredulously and said , 'I did not do it on purpose and I have already apologized to you and I have also said that I would dry clean it and give it back to you.'

The guy replied, 'This uniform is custom made form Italy .Even if you pay all the money you have you will not be able to get this same uniform in this world.'

When she heard this she could not help but think that this guy was a real miser but at the same time she was really excited.This scene was exactly like the ones she had seen in korean dramas when the male lead is a jerk and then he slowly starts falling for the poor but kind and hardworking female lead.

Anya was lost in her thoughts for a second when that guy walked towards her and took out the handkerchief she had in her pocket.She felt a strong pain in her arm as Soyoon pinched her.That guy rubbed his hand with the handkerchief and walked off with the other two guys.

As soon as they left the girls started fighting for the ownership of my handkerchief which was now on the floor.

Both Soyoon and Yuna started talking about how lucky I was .

I looked at the girl who was now being bullied by Jiyoo and her minions.

I was really excited to see what the future would hold for these people.

Third Party Pov

Most people in the room were jealous of this poor girl who had talked with one of these extremely handsome guys whereas Anya was glad about the fact that she was an outsider who had only been able to watch this.

Anya had always loved k-dramas and she could not help but be excited as she walked to her classroom with her friends.

Anya was only an outsider, an onlooker or so she thought.
