CHAPTER NINE - She'll Be Staying Here

"Go away, Alex. It makes tickles. When Alex continued tickling Emily's belly, she laughed louder. She gave him a small push because she was gasping for air. She knelt down on Alex's chest after being drawn closer. Saying "I love you." They chuckled into one other's arms and said, "I love you too." When Emily opened her eyes, she grinned pitifully. As she gulped down her beverage and let a tear fall down her cheek, Emily quickly wiped it away. As her health deteriorated, the bartender gave her a startling gaze. The moment her head hit the bar counter, the bartender started to freak out. He pulled her phone from her side while casting a troubled look her way.

As soon as Alex entered the house, his phone began to ring. He let out a sigh and pulled his phone from his pocket. When Alex saw Emily's name, his eyes grew wide.

He answered the phone right away, which made Emily roll her eyes. When Alex answered the call, she left. "WHAT?" Lily jerked her head and winced. She retrieved a bottle of water from the refrigerator and cracked open the top to sip. "WHERE? SEND ME THE ADDRESS. She jumped once again as the water splashed all over her face and dress while he yelled at the offender.

Lily rolled her eyes in irritation as Alex hastily dashed out of the house. "She must be having trouble." She spoke before heading to her room.

Alex got out of his car and dashed into the bar. "I believe it is my side job to keep these girls from getting drunk," said the man. He gave a head shake before approaching her. The bartender was chatting up Emily while he might have been waiting for someone to take her home.

Alex noticed him and bowed to him. You are the girl who survived, then? Alex shook his head and grinned awkwardly. As Emily stood and gave him a kiss, he halted just as he was about to clean his side. Their mouths dropped open at her abrupt action. The bartender's eyes bulged in horror as Alex froze in place. To win Alex's affection, Emily bit his lips.

He drew her in by putting his arms around her waist. As he slowly kissed her back, she grinned. Alex's thoughts were unfocused, and he yielded to her touches. They intensified their kiss as Emily encircled his neck and drew him in. They were unaware that someone was photographing them and observing them from a distance. James grinned as he sent Lily the pictures.

After completing her evening routine, Lily got into bed. She was in Alex's room because hers wasn't yet finished.

Her phone was on the nightstand, so she grabbed it and checked her emails. Lily was going to put her phone back on the nightstand when she saw James' name and decided against it.

She read his texts, her expression becoming lifeless. She sighed and flung her phone out of the window.

Lily was vacantly gazing up at the ceiling. Two hours had passed. She abruptly got out of bed and headed to the living room after hearing Alex's car start up.

She had no ideas. In the end, she wasn't sure how to respond. She was already aware of the regulations thanks to Alex, and she concurred with them. When she met Alex and his ex, or should we say his love, she gasped. She laughed at herself for once again believing him. Shaking her head, Lily turned around and headed towards her room.

"Lily?" she stopped at her spot.

Please go to your room, please. since she will live here. She gave a head nod and then turned to leave silently. While holding his partner close to his chest in his arm, Alex gave her a quick glance. "I'm glad we got it right again." He grinned as he brought her inside.

Lily stumbled over to her bed.

She was disregarding the tears that were streaming down her face. She was in pain but without feeling. She was broken and rendered numb. She was now a body without a soul because her soul had left her. She cried out in a louder voice, "Why me?" and covered her lips with her hands so that no one could hear her.

As Lily began to sob quietly, Alex tightened his grasp on the doorknob. Before going to his room, he leaned his head against the door and shut his eyes.

Lily shook her head and went about her daily tasks because she hadn't slept the night before. Due to her lack of sleep, her face was pale and her eyes were red. She was motionless as she stood in the closet. Lily sighed and exited her room while still dressed for work. Lily made her way to the kitchen while forcing a grin onto her lips. She followed suit when everyone else bowed to her. Before saying anything, she approached Mrs. Rim while grinning.

Please let Mr. Smith know that I won't be able to return to the office after I leave due to an unexpected job, Mrs. Rim. Lily nodded at her before leaving the kitchen. She gathered her belongings and left the house.

As the sun's rays hit his face, Alex placed a pillow over it. After turning around, he pressed his face against Emily's neck and inhaled her fragrance. "Go away, Alex. It makes tickles. When Jun-Sang continued to tickle Emily's belly, she laughed louder. She gave him a small push because she was gasping for air.

She knelt down on Alex's chest after being drawn closer. Saying "I love you." They chuckled into one other's arms and said, "I love you too."

On the dining room table, Alex took a seat and started to wait for Lily. Mrs. Rim approached him after exiting the kitchen. She caught Alex's attention as he arched one brow. She gave an uneasy smile.

Mister Smith, Mrs. Smith requested that I let you know that she will not be in the office today. She has significant job to complete. He gave a brief nod before beginning to eat. Please look after Emily while I'm gone. Mrs. Rim gave a nod before entering the kitchen. "Whatever happened to Lily?"

Looking at her father's grave, Lily grinned. "Hey, buddy, how you doing?" Since she knew he couldn't respond, she questioned. "I am aware that you are content and in good health." Shaking her head, Lily. She laughed as she recognized the voice, "I didn't know that graves can also speak." She cast a cold look at James as she turned her head to face him. He approached her closely and patted her on the head. James grinned, "Now, I can see the strongest Lily," and she yanked his hand away. "Stop spying on me and leave me alone." He was concerned about Lily because of her chilly, menacing glare. He was on the verge of embracing her. but she abandoned him one more.
