CHAPTER EIGHTEEN - They're Messing with My Mind

"Alex, loving you is a losing game." Looking at a figure of Alex who was on the phone with someone, Lily grinned. She was observing him from her room's large glass window. "You all will be responsible for paying for everything." She grinned sourly and turned her head away because she did not want to fall for him again. Her phone calls out of the blue, shocking her. She said, "Hello," in a sour voice that made him shudder. "M-mam, we're finished," The individual responded with a stammer. She ended the call and sighed heavily. "Let's go get it."

I was really missing you, Lily. James stared at her photo and murmured with a sorrowful heart.

Why me?" He doubted his own existence. God, I missed her. He cried more intensely, attempting to regain his breath while gripping his heart in one palm. "I can't take this suffering. I cannot endure this anymore, please. James panted and laid his head on the chair. After a little while, he returned to normal. "ALEX, I HATE YOU. You are putting too much pressure on me. His comments reverberated off the walls and filled the room with misery. After heaving a sigh, James resumed his job.

"Are you sure you want to do it?" As they prepared to sign the paperwork, Alex repeated his question. "Am I really kidding?" Lily rolled her eyes and quickly signed the documents.

"Do whatever you want to do. I don't want to get involved in any shit." She stood up and walked out of the study. She was feeling awful while speaking with them in that way, but she had to do it for her family and her dad in order to keep the promise she made to herself. As Lily turned to go, Emily caught her eye and started displaying some images of her and James. "What do you want right now?" Lily gave her a menacing look. "You are aware of my desires." Emily grinned broadly.

"You already have him. Get him and flee from my sight. Lily was ready to enter the room when Emily grabbed her arm and made her stop.

Why are you in such a rush? I want to show it to you. Her eyes opened as Lily gave her a quick glance. Where did you obtain this, exactly? After seeing her photos with James, her spirit trembles. "You alone can play?" She retreated after Emily sneered and took a step in her direction.

I'm quite interested in Alex's response to viewing his wife's love photo with her ex. What's going on here, "YOU-" When they heard Alex's voice, their eyes grew wide. Lily sighed and closed her eyes.

"Nothing, babe, I was congratulating her." Lily rolled her eyes as Emily clutched to Alex's arm. "Why did she do that?" you ask. Lily turned her attention to them and gave them a damn love couple look straight out of a high school. "Pardon me," They stared with disbelief as Lily excused herself.

Alex turned to face Emily, who, as Alex predicted, was feigning a grin.

I warned you not to call me every day. IF THE TIME COMES, I WILL GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU. While on the phone, Mr Smith screamed at someone. He was quite furious. He was panting a lot, his breath was unsteady, and his eyes were red as a fire flame. He lost focus and collapsed to the ground, where he lay motionless.

Mrs Smith started screaming loudly and ran to him.

'CALL MY SON. The maid dialled Alex while nodding her head. The Doctor moved toward the exit as Mr. Smith was being treated by the physician. "Come along with me, Lily." She gave him a nod before following. Saying "Yes, Doctor?" It was he who drove your father to the hospital on that particular day. Lily scowled as she began to have doubts. Doctor Davis, are you certain? He concurred by nodding his head. He instructed us to be quiet among your father's family. "What?" She screamed. We are at his home, so relax. Suppose someone overhears us. She glanced around and gave a head nod. "I'll be leaving immediately. Later, we'll discuss it.

The doctor left the house after she nodded. What is erroneous about this family? Lily entered Mrs. Smith's room after muttering something.

The doctor has left the house, boss. The guard spoke on the phone before hanging up. Dr. Davis was about to enter the modest house when his car came to a stop in front of it. His unconscious body was on the road after a horrific crash, covered in blood. Dr. Davis passed away instantly. A group of people formed a circle and began chatting about him. He was driven to the closest hospital when someone called the ambulance.

Slowly opening his eyes, Mr. Smith gave his wife a quick grin before turning to look at Lily, who was giving him a dead-pan look. "Are you doing OK now? Do I need to call the doctor? Concerned about his father, Alex enquired. Mr. Smith grinned while shaking his head. "My son, I'm good." Lily grinned sourly. She just went by as Alex stared at her in confusion. I hope you get better quickly, Mr. Smith. He nodded because he sensed Lily was thinking about something. Alex followed Mrs. Smith outside as she said, "I'll be back." Lily sighed heavily as she and Mr. Smith were left alone.

How long will you play it for? After hearing her statements, Mr. Smith scowled and turned to look at her. The question "What do you mean?" He spoke quietly to himself. "You are aware of that. To be clear, I don't want any drama. He was even more frightened by her audacity than previously. "That's not how it is," "I'll look for it on my own." As Mrs. Smith and Alex entered the room with a tray of food, she replied and grinned.

Alex placed the platter in front of his father while forcing him to sit on the bed. "Eat it. You must then take a medication. Mr. Smith nodded before getting his food. Mr. Smith's terrified eyes are always on Lily while he eats.

Alex was aware of this. Alex was overly disturbed by it and began to wonder about their relationship. "Dad, you all right?" He surprised him by doing so. Mr. Smith gave an uneasy smile and many nods. Mr. Smith kept eating, this time paying close attention to it. Alex had him lie on the bed after he had taken the medication. They all left his room and gave him some space to recover for a while.

"What's going on between you and your dad, Lily?" He remarked in a weird manner. "I am sure you will inquire about it." Lily chuckled. "Wait and observe Alex Smith. What will we be doing this time with you and your family?"Lily left the home, which left him bewildered and horrified. "Argh, she is starting to irritate me now."
