Chapter 2: A whole new world

In a quiet corner of Tokyo, Japan, a young boy lay fast asleep. Suddenly, his expression tightened, and his ice-blue eyes fluttered open.

"Where the hell am I?" the boy muttered, looking around at the unfamiliar room. The walls were covered with posters and figurines of characters he vaguely recognized from an anime he once watched.

"Is that... All Might and Endeavor? No way... Did that bastard actually send me to My Hero Academia?"

A sharp pain shot through his head as a rush of foreign memories flooded his mind. 'So, my name's Ryuji Kyushu now? Looks like the kid got so excited about getting his quirk that he gave himself a heart attack doing pushups on his bed thinking it would give him a stronger power when he awakened it. What a fool. Well, rest in peace, kid. I'll take care of your body and your family. It's the least I can do.'

Ryuji clasped his hands together and closed his eyes, offering a silent prayer for the boy whose life he had inherited.

"RYUJI, it's time for breakfast!" a feminine voice called out.

"Coming, Mom!" Ryuji replied instinctively, surprised at how natural it felt. 'Looks like I've inherited more than just his memories.'

---Time skip: Downstairs---

"So, Ryu, excited to find out if you've got a quirk?" his father, a man with pitch-black hair and eyes, asked with a light smile.

"Definitely! I hope I get an amazing quirk like you and Mom!" Ryuji replied, though inwardly he sighed, 'What a drag... I guess I'll have to play the part of a kid for a while.'

His mother, who had just set down a plate of food, beamed at him and then pinched his cheeks. "Our baby is so cute, isn't he, Akihiko?"

"He is, Akeno. Just like his mother," his father replied, winking at his wife.

Ryuji stuck out his tongue, "Daddd, that's gross."

"Oh, hush, you. Now hurry up and eat. We've got an appointment to get to," Akeno said, a faint blush coloring her cheeks.

"Right, right. And Ryuji, just know that whether you have a quirk or not, you are our son, and we'll love you no matter what." Akihiko's tone grew serious as he looked at his son, but his expression softened when he saw Ryuji nodding while munching on his breakfast.

'This family really is worth protecting,' Ryuji thought, feeling a warmth he hadn't expected as he witnessed their love and care firsthand.

---Time skip: Doctor's office---

The small, clinical room had a sterile, almost cold atmosphere. The walls were lined with medical charts and diagrams detailing human anatomy and quirks. A bright overhead light cast a harsh glow, making the white walls and tiled floors seem even more stark.

A young doctor sat behind a cluttered desk, facing Ryuji and his parents. She wore a white lab coat, her expression a blend of professional detachment and genuine warmth as she looked at the child in front of her. Behind her, a dim X-ray lightbox displayed an image of Ryuji's foot, highlighting the extra joint that signified the presence of a quirk.

"Congratulations, kid," the doctor said with a smile. "You've got yourself a quirk. Based on our analysis, it appears to be a fusion of your father's energy absorption and your mother's material absorption quirks. How powerful it might become is hard to say, but I'm confident you'll be a force to reckon with when you grow up."

Ryuji's parents beamed at the news, thanking the doctor before turning their gaze to their son, who was grinning from ear to ear. What they didn't know was the whirlwind of thoughts behind that smile.

'Holy crap, this is like the powers of Kevin's race from Ben 10, isn't it? That's insanely OP. I've got so much to experiment with… Maybe I can convince my parents to enrol me in martial arts classes. I can't go too long without training, especially with what's coming in the future.'

————————

Right, first off MC won't be instantly OP by the time cannon gets started he will be well on the way to being tho, also let me know if there's anything I can improve on I'm not the best at dialogue but that should get better with time, I take constructive criticism well so do your worse just don't be a prick :)

Also after this chap planning on trying to make every chapter at least 1k words
