They dined on roast with potatoes and carrots that night, spending a cozy evening together and—no, they weren’t perfect—they couldn’t keep their hands to themselves for too long of a stretch, but they didn’t push or go any further.
It helped that Belle kept them entertained, begging for scraps. As much as he wanted to give her some, Jules also wanted to make sure to keep her healthy and not overfeed her. He’d have to do research on what dogs could and couldn’t have.
He felt a small rise of jealousy when Belle wanted to sit on Felix’s lap after dinner as they watched the North Pole Newsor NPN, but it passed. He was glad she felt so comfortable with the man because Jules was hoping Felix would become a regular part of his life.
