Chapter 39.2 : Ian vs Yamato!!

Umit watched the pirates on the dock springing into action, feeling a bit lost.

Boom!

The ground suddenly started shaking.

"Idiots! What are you trying to do!"

Umit's eyes widened in terror as he saw a massive creature burst out from within Onigashima.

It was a massive mammoth, covered in thick fur and standing over ten meters tall!

"What do you think this place is?!"

In the next moment, Umit was convinced he must be seeing things. The enormous mammoth suddenly burst into a terrifying speed, almost turning into a blur as it charged forward.

"Iron Body: Giant Elephant Charge!"

The mammoth, like a locomotive, collided instantly with the intruders who were running wildly. Umit could hardly bear to watch. In the blink of an eye, bodies twisted and broken bones scattered like flowers in a storm.

"Oh! It's Lord Jack!"

The pirates at the port erupted in cheers.

Jack?

Who is that?

Umit's knowledge of the Beasts Pirates was limited to Kaido himself and his subordinates, King the Wildfire and Queen the Plague.

Is this a new officer in the Beasts Pirates?

"Iron Body and Soru, really fitting for Jack's fighting style,"

At the entrance of Onigashima, a graceful girl stepped out. The golden-haired girl looked at the halted mammoth and then at the intruders who, despite narrowly escaping the collision, were still desperately charging toward them.

"Don't disturb Ian, okay?"

Her body suddenly transformed, her long legs beneath her kimono morphing into massive spider-like appendages.

"Spider Finger Pistol!"

She became a blur as she dashed forward, her spider legs forming a storm that pierced through every intruder's body in an instant.

It was over.

In the blink of an eye, the two of them had eliminated the group of intruders.

Impressive.

Umit looked at the girl, who stood about six or seven meters tall. Are both of them Ancient Zoan users?

Are they using Rokushiki?

The Beasts Pirates had hidden such individuals?

"Are you one of them too?"

A dense shadow suddenly covered Umit as the giant elephant stood right in front of him.

"No, no, no!"

Umit was instantly sweating profusely, shaking his head frantically. "I'm Umit the Deep Ocean Current. We had an appointment to discuss the procurement of Sea-Prism Stones."

"Deep Ocean Current Umit?"

The giant elephant murmured.

Then, he transformed back into his human form—a tall youth over six meters high—looking down on Umit from his elevated position. "I think I heard Brother Ian mention this. Follow me."

So, who exactly is this Ian?

Umit followed the excessively tall youth into the interior of Onigashima.

As they passed a young woman, she asked, "Who is he?"

"He's here to discuss business with Brother Ian," the youth casually replied.

"Is that so? Then he might need to wait a while," the woman said with a light smile.

"Let's move. It might be starting soon," the youth urged as he strode ahead.

Starting? 

What's about to start?

Umit didn't dare to ask and simply followed behind the two as they entered deeper into Onigashima.

Along the way, the pirates they encountered showed great respect to the youth and the woman, addressing them as "Lord Jack" and "Lady Maria." Umit guessed that they must be high-ranking members of the Beasts Pirates.

Unable to contain his curiosity, Umit asked in a low voice, "Who were those people earlier?"

"Just stray dogs," Jack, the youth, replied casually.

Stray dogs?

They continued until they reached the central area of the island town, in front of a tall building.

In front of the building was a large plaza surrounded by many pirates.

"What are you looking at?"

However, none of the pirates dared to block the approaching young man and woman, parting to let them through.

Umit also followed, making his way to the heart of the crowd.

He finally reached the center of the square.

The young man and woman stood facing each other.

The girl, with her beautiful long hair that transitioned from white to green, wielded a spiked mace. A pair of red horns adorned her forehead.

Though young, she appeared to be around thirteen or fourteen. She was no longer in the realm of cuteness but had become quite beautiful.

She wore a loose, red-and-white miko outfit. Even with the loose clothing, her slender figure was evident, complemented by her elegant and refined features, exuding a strong sense of presence.

"Heh heh, Ian! This time, I won't lose so easily!" 

Ian!

Umit quickly glanced at the young man standing opposite the girl.

So, this is Ian? Is he really this young?

The young man was slim and tall, looking about the same age as the white-haired girl.

He had black hair and eyes, with a striking appearance. His black eyes, beneath his sharp brows, seemed to pull one's gaze in like a black hole.

He wore a simple white shirt, black trousers, and leather shoes, and even had a tie. Though his outfit was straightforward, it, along with his tall and lean physique, gave him a commanding and handsome presence.

A match made in heaven!

That was Umit's first impression upon seeing the young man and woman.

"Let's do this then," the young man, Ian, said, waving at the white-haired girl. "Show me your progress during this time."

"You're really lucky."

A boy beside Umit suddenly spoke up.

"What?"

Umit looked puzzled.

"You're just in time to witness the battle between Ian and Yamato," the boy, Jack, said with a hint of excitement. "Consider yourself fortunate. What you're seeing are those who in the future will stand at the pinnacle of the world!"

Pinnacle of the world?

Umit blinked.

Are they really that impressive?

"Thunder Eight Trigrams!"

The battle on the field had begun.
