Chapter 24: Luo Ning's weakness?

"Not a Devil Fruit user? Impossible!"

Everyone had incredible expressions on their faces. It shouldn't be possible. If you aren't a Devil Fruit user, then why can you fly in mid-air? And why can you make Onigumo's bones as fragile as crackers?

You've been using all these powers, but you claim you don't have a Devil Fruit? There's no way, right?

"Impossible, we've even seen him use his clone before!" Magellan was still confused. He remembered Luo Ning using a clone to trick them before, with the real Luo Ning only appearing after confirming everything was safe.

But with all these powers, how could Luo Ning not be a Devil Fruit user?

"This is a nightmare. He's not a Devil Fruit user, but has a ton of powers. Seastone and seawater won't work, and getting close is not am option either. Aokiji is all we have left"

Gion and the others felt a cold dread creep up their spines. How do you fight a monster with no weaknesses?

Garp, who had been quiet, finally spoke up. Everyone turned to look at him.

"No Haki?" someone asked, unsure.

"Everyone knows what Kuzan's power is. Any enemy who fights him and has Haki would use it right away.

That guy who attacked Kuzan earlier, If he used Haki, things might be different. But he didn't. And this whole fight, the old man hasn't seen him use Haki at all."

Garp has been watching, and as a seasoned veteran, he has seen the problem.

Magellan frowned. "Yeah, I didn't see him use Haki during our fight either. But why wouldn't someone that strong know it? It doesn't make sense!"

Haki is basically a requirement for top fighters. Without it, unless you have an incredible Devil Fruit power, you just won't make it to the big leagues. Someone that strong should've run into Haki by now, so why not use it? It's baffling.

"Maybe he will. Or maybe he's just toying with Kuzan. But yeah, it's unlikely."

Garp grumbled. Luo Ning was a strange one, that much was clear. But why he fought without Haki was a mystery.

Aokiji! Garp and the others think there's a good chance the attacker didn't use Haki!

"No Haki?" Aokiji was surprised. Luo Ning did attack just now, and it seemed like a perfect chance to use Haki, but they didn't. That made him doubt what he thought he knew.

"Admiral Aokiji, there is a high probability that the opponent have no Haki!" After listening to the analysis of Garp and the others, Gion quickly yelled at Aokiji.

"No Haki?" Aokiji was surprised to hear that. He started to question things. After all, Luo Ning just attacked him when he had a perfect opening, and he didn't use Haki.

"I was discovered again, huh"

Luo Ning is also speechless, in fact, he tried to The Visionary to make himself have Haki, but it failed.

Gremmy's power to imagine powers has its limits. He can't imagining anything too crazy. Imagine if he could just use the powers of, say, Old Man Yamamoto's Ryūjin Jakka, or even Zanpakutō and Shinigami of others.

Of course, that's not possible. Just like Luo Ning can't imagine turning into a real Man of Steel – you know, the kind that can fly and shoot lasers from his eyes – his power's more like a basic shield, not a superhero package.

He can't fantasize about Haki. And what replaces Observation Haki is crisis perception and Reiatsu perception.

There's always limitations to this power, and he has no idea how much "Freedom" he actually needs to make it work fully.

Even if he wipes out all the Marines here, it won't unlock the full power of his ability. Right now, getting stronger in fights is more important, so figuring out this ability can wait.

Luo Ning might not have Armament Haki, but that doesn't mean he's powerless against Aokiji.

Luo Ning's energy, Reiatsu, cuts straight to the soul. This is especially dangerous for Logia users like Aokiji, who rely on their devil fruit powers.

While some special folks can manipulate souls, most people can't strengthen theirs. Even healing soul damage takes ages, way longer than physical injuries. So getting hit by Luo Ning's Reiatsu attack is gonna hurt bad.

This soul-targeting power is his secret weapon against Logia users, and he has other tricks up his sleeve for Aokiji too.

The Logia fruit has a weakness. For example, Crocodile is sand. When Luffy was wet, he could hit Crocodile because water weakens sand.

Aokiji is ice. In hot enough weather, the ice will melt or even turn straight from solid to gas. There are many ways to fight Aokiji, so Luo Ning is not worried at all.
