Chapter 9 - Luffy Met A Pirate Thief, What!?

『 Omniscient POV 』

At a certain island among the Organ Archipelago of East Blue.

"Quick! Catch her!!"

"She has the map! We need to get it back to Buggy-sama if you lot want to stay alive!!"

"Stop running you bitch!!"

A small group of pirates can be seen chasing down an orange-haired girl.

A girl who was running towards a street devoid of any other human life with a victorious smile on her face.

'After so long, I've finally got the navigation chart to Grand Line, I can't die now!'

This street, no, this place called Orange Town is currently empty of all of its citizens.

The reason behind that oddness?

*Bang!!*

"Damn it! I missed!!"

Well, it was because of the Captain of the pirates that is currently trying to catch the girl in front of them.

*Boom!!*

As the chase between the pirates and the thief continues, they suddenly heard the loud sound of a cannon being fired.

And shortly after that, something suddenly fell from the sky before it stood up in the middle of the pirates and the thief.

"Whewwww~! We finally landed, didn't we Izuku?"

Then when the dusts finally cleared themselves from the thing that fell from the sky, a straw hatted guy appeared.

"Huh!? Izuku!? Where are you?!"

And as if to ignore the people aroung him, the straw hatted guys had suddenly began speaking to himself like a crazy person.

"Oi who are you supposed to be you bastard?!"

"Yeah, you shocked the hell out of me!! You'll pay for that!!"

"Oi bastard, are you listening to us!?"

Of course, the pirates got angry towards the straw hatted man when they realized that the later person really didn't acknowledge their presence at all.

"Oh boss! You're finally here... I've been waiting for you to save me!!"

Then just as the pirates was about to yell at the unknown man before them once again, they suddenly heard the words of their initial target.

"Huh?"

Although Luffy's confusion were as clear as the day, the pirates still came to the conclusion that their target and this unknown man was working together to steal from their crew.

"Quick, attack them!!"

"Wha- she ran away already!?"

And that was why, they did not hesitate to attack Luffy.

Which did not end well for them as the second that a pirate messed with his hat, Luffy did not pull any of his punches back.

"Wow! You're really strong!!"

Then a second after the body of the last pirate fell onto the ground, the orange-haired girl had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Looking up, Luffy saw that the girl that ran previously is now leisurely sitting on the roof of one of the house not far from his left.

"Who are you?"

"I'm a thief who only steal treasures from pirates, my name is Nami! Want to work with me?"

"Only steal treasures from pirates? What an odd job isn't it, Izuk-!"

Luffy's face is with that of curiosity when he heard Nami's line of work.

"Ha, Right! Izuku is missing!!"

But such curiosity vanished the moment that he remembered that his first mate is not by his side right now.

"Izuk- who?"

Asked the orange-haired girl that Luffy ignored as he had already began searching for the lost Izuku.

"Izuku where are you!? Shout back if you can hear me!!"

"Oi, wait for me!!"

And thus, the girl that was previously being chased is now chasing someone's back.

『 Meanwhile 』

Several minutes earlier, moments before Luffy fell onto the ground.

Midoriya and Luffy can be seen arguing at each other as one is too carefree about their current situation while one is worried about it.

After all, they had left Zoro in the middle of the ocean... which Midoriya know is a bad idea if what Zoro told them about his journey was true.

'Hopefully he can follow us...'

Thought to himself Midoriya as he told Luffy that they are about to land in a few minutes.

"Alright! Once we get there, let's look for food and bring it to Zoro!!"

"We can't, Luffy..."

The lost hero answered his captain as he increase the speed of their flight for a bit.

"Ehhh~! Why is that?"

"Because I lost track of where we came from thanks to that bird."

Midoriya revealed to Luffy before he looked away from the later person's eyes because of embarrassment.

Hearing that reason, Luffy couldn't really blame Midoriya as he was the reason why they are in this situation... or that would be the case if the person with Midoriya was not Luffy.

"So because you enjoyed flying so much, you lost our nakama... are you really an idiot?"

"That's literally you and not me!!"

The most unreasonable person that Midoriya had met... in a good way.

"Oh, you're right! Shishishishi!"

"You-"

And just as Midoriya was about to scold Luffy for being so carefree, a loud noise suddenly sounded out and a moment later, a cannonball had already appeared before them.

"Luffyyyy~!!"

"Whaaaa~!!"

That was how, the duo got separated. One was sent towards the city and met a girl named Nami while the other was sent to an unknown place to enter the Dreamland.

Yep, that's right... our young lost hero had been knocked out because he tanked the cannonball that was fired at them as well as landed on the ground with his head first from a fall of

Truly an unforgettable and unfortunate experience for him.

But fortunately, or not, there are some people that saw his fall and thus went towards his landing site and found him.

What will happen to him, even Midoriya don't know as he enjoy the picnic date that he was having in the Dreamland.

『 Few Hours Later 』

Zoro had finally arrived at the coast of the town that Luffy had fallen.

"Now, how do I find those two?"

But that fact was unknown to Zoro himself and so, he is clueless about how to locate his captain and crew member.

"Wait, what's this? Why is this place empty?"

Just as he was thinking about that, the ex-pirate hunter quickly realized that there were no citizens around them even as they walk deeper into the village.

"Truth is, our pirate crew, Buggy Pirates, are currently raiding this place so the people hid themselves somewhere we don't know."

Revealed the fat man of the trio pirates that paddled the boat for Zoro to reach this island.

"Izuku!! Do! You! Hear! Meee~!!!"

Shortly after hearing that, Zoro suddenly heard a familiar voice not far away from his right.

"Luffy!?"

And not even a second after that, the three swords user had already dashed towards the direction where he thought he heard Luffy's voice from... which was the exact opposite of its real direction.

"Huh? I thought I heard Zoro here, where is he?"

And before the three pirates could even head to the bar that their pirate crew was using as their current base, a straw hatted person walked by them without even giving them a glance.

"Let's just go..."

"Yeah... let's go meet our end."

"Agreed..."

Whispered the trio to each other as they realized that they lost the treasure that they were supposed to bring to their Captain.

"""We're dead...""""

Synchronously said the trio with a helpless tone in their voices.

"Luffy~! Where are you~?!"

Hundreds of meters away from the trio, Zoro can be seen still running towards the opposite direction from where Luffy was actually headed to.

"Where did that guy went t-!"

"Luff-!!"

"Ouch!! Watch where you're going!!"

But then, as he do so, Zoro suddenly bumped into the girl that Luffy had met earlier.

"Sorry about that, I was looking for my friends... perhaps you've seen them? One of them wears a straw hat while the other has a metal mask resting on his collarbone."

After helping Nami to get up from the ground, Zoro explained why he was in a rush.

"No thank you, bastard. Also, I don't know about the other one but yes, I've seen the rude guy that wears a straw hat."

Nami replied as she clears the dusts away from her shorts.

Hearing her words, Zoro's mouth slowly morphed into a huge smile before he asked the girl before him to lead him to Luffy's location.

"Fine, but I won't wait for you so you better run as fast as you can!"

Said Nami before she ran towards the direction of where she could hear Luffy's shouts.

'How could he not find that person when he's loudly yelling someone's name like that? Is he an idiot?'

Thought Nami before she turned her head to look behind her to see if the swordsman behind her was actually following her.

Not much to her shock, the said person is now nowhere to be seen.

"Where is h-!"

"What? You also don't know where Luffy's location is?"

Though, it seems like Zoro was not lost this time but was actually right besides Nami as he run at her pace.

"Yes? N-no! I mean, I know where he is, so follow me!"

Exclaimed the flexible woman in shock before she did some parkour and ran faster than before.

'Scary!!'

With that single thought in her mind.

"Okay!!"

Which Zoro was unaware of and so, when he smiled once again, Nami's fear of him just increased.

Meanwhile, as the new duo head towards Luffy's voice, the target of their search had stopped running and began to take some rest.

"Where the heck is Izuku!?"

He screamed in frustration as his hours of marathon beared no reward for him.

"Woof!"

Thankfully, he still managed to find a living being... it's just not a human one but an animal one.

Or to be exact, a dog.

"I'm not talking to you, you dog statue!"

Yelled out the straw hatted pirate as his head seemingly grew larger because of his anger.

"Oi, you!! Leave Shushu alone!!"

And at the same time...

"Luffy~!!"

"We finally found you!"

... Zoro and Nami had also arrived at the front of the store where Luffy was previously laying at.

"Zoro!! You're here!? And you too, Pirate Nami!"

As a response, Luffy's excitement were crystal clear in his response.

"You!!"

Though, his words for Nami seemed to anger her instead.

*Boom!*

But before she could even unleash her wrath, a deafening noise suddenly erupted not far from their location.

"What was that?"

"Wait! That's the same cannon that hit me and Izuku!!"

"And how do you know that?"

"Huh? I just do... Shishishi~!"

As Luffy gave some unreasonable response to Zoro's reasonable questions, Nami and the man that yelled at Luffy earlier appeared to be scared because of the noise that they heard.

A sight that are, of course, ignored by Luffy and Zoro as they began to tell each other what had happened while they were separated.

『 Meanwhile 』

Back to the bar called 「 Drinker's Pub 」, which was being used as the base of Buggy Pirates, at the edge of the bar's top floor, a particularly large cannon can be seen releasing a huge amount of smoke at its front.

"That's what you get for saying those accursed words!!"

"Yhii!"

Buggy screamed in frustration to the remaining flesh of his former crew member.

The only response that he got, however, were screams of fear from his shaking men.

What was the reason why one of their member was suddenly murder?

Well, it's simple... it was because as his former crew member tried to explain what happened to his map, Buggy thought that the bastard was dissing his unique nose.

Which was not true at all!!

But who would dare to say that truth to the man who commanded his men to shoot a cannoball, at point black, to his former one without any hesitation.

That's right, no one in his crew could do that as those who had tried met the same fate as those people that they tried to save.

Murdered by Buggy's torturous ideas.

"Captain."

Then, as if completely used by this exact situation, a man with muscular torso and thick lips fearlessly called out to the clown pirate.

"What is it... Mohji?"

This man is named Mohji and he is the vice captain of Buggy's crew.

Just like Buggy, Mohji has a unique look as he wears a white fur vest that covers the area of his chest, green pants held up by a black sash, and shoes in the shape of animal white fur feet.

But those were not the only noticeable things about this man, as this man was also leisurely sitting on top of a huge lion.

"Three of our men just reported that Roronoa Zora had arrived in this island, please let me have his head."

Gravely asked the vice captain to his captain as the men around them stopped whispering to each other and began to listen to their conversation.

"The "Pirate Hunter"? The one that was gaining some recognition because of luck?"

"The one and only."

Mohji replied to Buggy's words of conformation.

"Alright, go do what you want to do and while you're at it, get me my map back!!"

Yelled out the clown before his vice captain nodded his head and walked out of the rooftop's entrance.

'I'll have my bounty raise with your head, Roronoa Zora.'

Thought the beast tamer pirate, as he smiles and walked out of the entrance of their base.

『 Meanwhile 』

At the outskirt of the Orange Town, a shelter full of civilian can be found.

Several small houses had already been build in this shelter site and there are more being build as time passes by.

"Do you think he's one of them?"

"No, I doubt that."

"I guess you're right, there's no way a cute looking guy like him was a pirate."

"Quiet! He's waking up!!"

"You be quiet... your voice is loud as fuck."

"He's right!"

"Shhh~!!"

And around a certain house, several men and women of any age can be seen arguing at each other.

"Oh, could you all just shut the fuck up and let me rest in peace?! If you can't do that, then just go away!!"

Fortunately, the words of an old woman managed to make the people around the house to shut their mouth and produce a peaceful and silent environment.

"Luffyyy~!!"

But that silent did not last for long as the sleeping prince, who turned out to be Midoriya, had suddenly stood up from the bed that he was previously sleeping on.

That's right, he was the reason why the people around the house he was in were previously arguing.

"Huh? Where am I?"

Cluelessly asked the lost hero to the old woman who was silently watching him, with her left eyebrow twiching from time to time.

"... You're currently at one of the house of our... shelter site."

Then, after the old woman took a deep breath to calm herself down, she hesitantly answered Midoriya's question with some sadness in her voice.

"Shelter? Where is this place exactly? And who are you and those people?"

"Ungrateful brat! You should thank us for saving you!"

"That's right! If we didn't found you, you think you'd still be alive?!"

Hearing Midoriya's words, the adult from the group of people around the house quickly began to yell at him in anger.

"Huh? Huh?? Huhhh~???

Which, of course, confused the lost hero who had no idea what is going on right now.

"Can somebody please explain what's happening?!"

Thankfully, before the screams of anger could fully assault his ears, Midoriya managed to yell out the question that he deemed to be the most important one at this moment.

"... Right, you just woke up so it'd make sense that you don't know what's going and that you'd start to act rudely."

Hearing the desperation in his voice, one adult seemed to realize something as he suddenly had a thoughtful expression before he spoke out his thoughts.

""Hhmmhh hmmh!""

As a response to him, the other ones nodded their heads in agreement.

"..."

"..."

But such actions only earned them the deadpan looks of the children around them.

"This shelter is located outside of the only town of this island and as we were doing our normal activities, we witnessed how you suddenly fell from the sky not far away from this place. And we took you in here when we located you and discovered that you're still breathing."

Thankfully, before the adult could furthermore embarrassed themselves, the old woman easily explained everything that happened to the clueless teen before her.

"I see... thank you for bringing me here and taking care of me."

After digesting her words, Midoriya finally said the words that every person around him wanted to hear.

"Anyway, sorry for the inconvenience of my sudden appearance in this place but I have to go as I still have a friend to find."

Though, after he noticed that the people around him finally calmed down because of his words, he quickly announced his next plan.

But before he could even step forward to exit the house that he is in, Midoriya suddenly felt a tugging force on his feet.

And when he looked down, what he witnessed made his eyes widen in shock.

"Please help us..."

The words of the child was not the reason why Midoriya was shocked, no... it was because the child before him looked like one of the children that Shigaraki had kidnapped to take the kid's Quirk and was later on, killed.

"... please save our home!"

And when the kid noticed that the unknown person he was holding on were fully focused on him, he exclaimed those words as loud as he can.

「 "Please help us! Please save our home!!" 」

Unbeknownst to the child, his words brought chaos and darkness in Midoriya's mind.

Also, what do you think happened back to Midoriya's world? What new Quirks do you think Shigaraki got from his raids on orphanages? Man, even I don't know the answers to those questions, but here's the sure thing... the result of those events were not good at all ( ´;ﾟ;∀;ﾟ;)
