Holy Land Mariejois, Commander Kong's Room,
A light bulb suddenly broke, The room was plunged in pitch black darkness, dawn had yet to arrive.
Kong had remained vigilant throughout the night. However, after the ghostly encounter with the white-robed apparition, he didn't see the ghost again. It left him puzzled, as if the female ghost wanted only to make her presence known and then vanish, leaving the room and going elsewhere.
As he furrowed his brow, the TV in the living room abruptly turned on. Static flickered on the screen, revealing a strange and eerie image. It was a former refuge of Sadako, standing silently in the middle of the screen, radiating a haunted and despairing aura, like a bottomless abyss, sending shivers down one's spine.
And then, it happened. Kong's pupils shrank violently when he spotted the ghost once more. From the depths of the well, a pale figure emerged, her emaciated arms creeping out in an unnatural manner.
Before Kong could delve further into the surreal scene, he detected the unmistakable scent of blood, coming from behind him. Slowly turning around, he found a white-clad woman standing there.
He couldn't fathom when or how she had arrived, but her hands were dripping with fresh blood, evidently from her recent kill.
Kong, on high alert and with no time to identify whose blood was on the woman's hands, made his move. His powerful right arm, like a cannonball, launched a ferocious punch directly at the ghostly apparition.
The room was engulfed in a violent gust, curtains fluttering, and nearby objects scattering under the intense wind pressure. But to Kong's astonishment, his powerful strike phased right through the woman in white, achieving nothing.
Kong had combined Armament Haki with Conqueror's Haki, the most formidable physical attack. Such a strike would make even the mighty Gol D. Roger reconsider his choices.
Yet, it remained ineffective against the pale woman, who remained untouched by the powerful assault. Kong couldn't help but wonder if she was truly a ghost, something beyond the reach of his powerful Haki techniques.
In a swift motion, the pale woman's hand reached out, covered in thick blood, her veins visible under her blue-white skin. She grasped Kong's arm, and the moment her hand made contact, an unsettling feeling coursed through him.
With a mighty effort, Kong clenched his fist and broke free from the woman's grasp, sending a shockwave throughout the room. Tables, teacups, and vases were sent flying.
As he retreated, he examined his arm, finding a black phantom handprint imprinted on his skin. Even Kong, a former Navy Fleet Admiral and now an Army Commander, wasn't immune to Sadako's marking.
When he looked ahead once more, the pale woman had vanished, leaving no trace but a swirling, eerie wind and the sinister moonlight pouring into the room.
