No food for the wicked

It had been two days since the whisker pirates arrived at Baratie. Tom, scared that he might lose all his money if they kept going, decided to limit their visits to Baratie. But of course that was only if he was able to withstand the barrage of Jerry.

Unable to handle the naggings of his vice captain, Tom was forced to go back to Baratie. Tom waited for his food while thinking,

'We should've left. How much will I end up having to spend here..'

And when their food finally arrived, it came with another person who joined their table and was eating their food rather shamelessly.

"Oi."

"Hmm."

Seeing Luffy look at him with a piece of meat in his hand, Tom's food in his hand, Tom was getting his patience tested.

"Why the hell are you eating our food?"

"Well.. because it's good."

"..Get lost bastard, before I start hitting you."

"Eehh, why so stingy. You let me eat the last time.."

"I was mistaken last time. Either you leave or I'll make you."

"Oohh.."

Seeing Luffy go back to eating after he heard that, Tom had veins popping out of his head. Calming himself down and taking a deep breath, Tom said loudly,

"We have a slacker here!"

It only took a few moments for Sanji's boot to arrive right at Luffy's head. Luffy pouted seeing Tom's evil smile while he was being dragged away.

Unfortunately, Tom could not eat anything yet as he heard someone exclaim from the side that Don Krieg was approaching. Going over to the side, he saw the big ship that had gotten near Baratie and whistled.

"That's a big one. It's pretty ruined though."

"They must have sailed through a terrible storm for a galleon like that to end up in that way."

Turning around Tom looked at Sanji who said that and smiled,

"Well, who knows?"

As Sanji raised his eyebrow at Tom's cryptic dialogue, the doors of the restaurant burst open and in walked a man who was being supported by the guy who shot the marine a couple of days back.

'Oh, they're together?'

He soon fell over after pleading to be served some food.

"Don Krieg!" (Gin)

Tom noticed Sanji go to the kitchen while the guy who was with Krieg begged the chefs to get his captain some food. It was only met with ridicule as they did not want to feed a notorious criminal.

It was then that Sanji kicked Patty away and gave the food to Gin. His fellow chefs shouted at him, telling the tales of the 'Foul play Krieg' but it seemed too late as Krieg got up and clotheslined Sanji which sent him flying.

Grabbing the throat of his subordinate who was asking why he had to hit Sanji, Krieg said he would take over the restaurant as it looked pretty nice.

As he demanded that they prepare food for the rest of his crew who numbered around a hundred, Tom looked at Sanji who was trying to head to the kitchen and said,

"Wow, he's an idiot too? Nyahaha, I suppose it'll be better to fight everyone at full strength though."

Tom took his seat with his crewmates who were watching the ongoing commotion as Krieg laid waste to the chefs who tried to attack him, during which he saw the head chef of Baratie.

Krieg recognized the head chef who gave him a sack of food and stated his goal, which was to become the pirate king and demanded the travel log of Zeff from when he traveled the Grand line.

"Hold it! I'm going to be the king of pirates."

Tom looked at Luffy confronting Krieg and laughed,

"That dumbass wants to be the king of pirates? Color me surprised."

"Captain, you don't wanna throw your hat in there?"

Tom looked at Yuuki who asked him and hummed,

"It's just a title, I don't really care."

"...."

As Tom reached to finally eat his hand grabbed empty air. He looked at the table and it was filled with empty plates and Jerry was rubbing his stomach with a content expression.

Feeling somebody watching him on, Jerry looked up to see his captain giving him a deadly glare. As Jerry shivered under that look, Tom knocked on the table which broke everyone out of the discussion they were having after Krieg left.

"Can someone come take my order?"

"..Do you not see what's happening? You still want to sit here and eat?"

Tom looked at the chef who asked him the question and said,

"What? Who cares about what's going on? I haven't eaten yet, are you gonna starve your customers?!"

"Alright. What do you want?"

Tom looked at the head chef before turning to Luffy and asked,

"You, what do you not like to eat?"

Folding his arms and tilting his head, Luffy thought about it hard and answered,

"I eat everything."

Turning to Zeff with a helpless look Tom said,

"Just bring whatever's fast and easy to make."

After Zeff went inside, Tom thought of how to save his food from not only his gluttonous vice captain but also this fool who says he wants to be the pirate king.

As he was waiting, he heard Usopp and Yuuki talk,

"Y-you, are you not scared of that guy who came in just now?" (Usopp)

"Haha, this is just child's play to me. I once went up against 100 people back in my hometown and beat them so bad they started crying." (Yuuki)

"O-oh not bad. I actually think this might be too easy. I have experience in defeating a whole armada by myself near my hometown." (Usopp)

"I see. Well, I remember…." (Yuuki)

Tom deadpanned at the two, who were keen on telling tall tales with shaky legs. Well, at least his crewmate could keep a straight face unlike Usopp. When his food finally arrived and he thought of eating, he noticed someone had pulled up a chair next to him.

Looking to the side, he saw that it was obviously the shameless waiter who was hell bent on freeloading off him for some reason.

"Looks delicious."

"It's not yours."

He turned his seat to block Luffy and took his plate in his hands and tried to eat when a huge tremor hit the restaurant.

With everyone scurrying off to minimize the damage, Tom looked at his food which had spilled everywhere. Unable to control his anger anymore, he rushed out to see who caused it.

Tyke watched his captain rush out and looked to the side to see Yuuki holding onto the table for dear life.

"Let's go, Tyke! Let's not miss out on the fun!"

Glancing at his vice captain who was pulling on his hair while sitting atop his shoulders, Tyke got up and moved outside with Yuuki following closely behind.

As he got outside, he looked at Zoro fighting someone. Tyke looked at the small sword the man was using to fight Zoro and frowned.

His initial thoughts were that he was strong. But it soon changed when Zoro couldn't even land a single strike and the hawk eyed swordsman acknowledged Zoro's spirit and used his main sword to slash him down.

With a strong man like that down there, Tyke hoped his crazy captain would not do something that they can't get out of.

Searching for Tom, Tyke found him and noticed he had a stunned expression on his face. As he wondered why, he heard Yuuki say next to him,

"Is that..?"

Tyke looked at Yuuki who uncharacteristically did not finish his sentence and looked to where he was pointing at. Not wanting to believe what he saw was real, he rubbed his eyes and looked again. Unfortunately, it seemed true.

Their ship, the Flying Mammy was on water and sailing away.
