The journey from Marineford to Water 7 was a quick one. By the middle of the day, the warship had docked at its destination.

Vice Admiral Garp led everyone off the ship, with Brontes trailing curiously behind him.

Brontes remembered that this was the very place where Garp had once disclosed the identity of Luffy's father.

Upon arriving at Water 7, Garp made his entrance in a dramatic fashion, leading to an extraordinary meeting with his grandson, Luffy. After some time, Brontes began to lose interest.

The revelation that Dragon was Luffy's father shocked many people. However, what many failed to see was that Garp's announcement was not just a revelation—it was a warning to the Marines and the World Government.

The message was clear: Luffy's life was not to be underestimated, and targeting him could provoke severe consequences.

The public declaration of Luffy's father as the revolutionary Dragon was designed to instill fear, highlighting not just the threat posed by Luffy alone but also by the powerful father-son combination of Garp and Dragon.

The Buster Call order against Luffy had nearly resulted in his death. If it weren't for Kuzun, a friend and former subordinate of Garp, Luffy and his crew might not have survived their ordeal at Enies Lobby.

It was Garp's influence that persuaded Kuzun to spare Luffy's life.

As Luffy and Koby faced off, Brontes observed from the sidelines, noticing that all eyes were on Garp.

Amidst the tension, Garp nonchalantly said, while casually picking his nose: "Your father is Monkey D. Dragon, a revolutionary."

"Ey?!!"

This casual revelation shocked everyone present.

The world's most wanted criminal wasn't Whitebeard—it was Dragon. Pirate crews often attacked the World Government, but none had dared to challenge it as boldly as Luffy and his crew, who had nearly brought down Enies Lobby.

If it were any other pirate, Brontes wouldn't hesitate to send CP0 after them, and he'd even personally step in if it involved a Four Yonko.

However, Luffy's unique situation made things more complex due to his connections with Garp and Dragon, which commanded a certain level of softness from Brontes.

"Old man, what are you planning to do?" Brontes asked, lounging comfortably on the grass.

"It's none of your business. Why are you even still here?" Garp replied with a lazy glance towards Brontes.

The Straw Hat crew had just then noticed Brontes, instinctively taking a step back from him.

After leaving Enies Lobby, they had learned about Brontes's true identity as the Fleet Admiral from Robin.

Realizing who he was, they felt a mix of terror and relief that Brontes had not taken action against them.

"F-Fleet-Admiral, R-Ragnarok!" Nami exclaimed, her voice tinged with extreme fear.

"Yo!" Brontes greeted with a casual smile, then turned his attention back to Garp.

"Old man, you're making this difficult for me. They almost destroyed Enies Lobby, which is under my jurisdiction, and took down CP9 agents who stationed there. It's hard for me to just overlook this." Brontes said with a playful smile.

"What's so difficult about it? I didn't ask you to come. Let's just pretend you never did, hahaha!" Garp responded, bursting into laughter.

"Yay!!" The words stunned everyone around, including the Marine soldiers.

Back in his younger days, Garp had formed a formidable squad with Sengoku and Tsuru, before Zephyr had even joined them.

Back then, Tsuru was somewhat like to Nami of the Straw Hat Pirates, yet she wielded considerable strength and wisdom.

In private moments, Sengoku revealed a more lighthearted side, not all that dissimilar to his youthful demeanor, but he was notably sharp-witted, especially after he rose to the position of Fleet-Admiral at Marineford.

Before Brontes was promoted to Admiral, Garp had warned him that achieving such a rank would mean losing his freedom, as his actions would be heavily controlled by the World Government—a prediction that turned out to be accurate. This very reason had led Garp himself to decline the promotion, opting instead to maintain a semi-retired status. However, with Luffy venturing out to sea, Garp found it impossible to remain passive, especially given Luffy's risk of facing serious threats from the Marines or the World Government due to his heritage as the grandson of a Naval Hero and the son of the Revolutionary, Dragon.

Brontes, now holding a position that ranked even above Sengoku's, though no longer active in the Marine, still commanded immense respect and wielded substantial influence within the World Government.

Under his jurisdiction was Enies Lobby, and technically, if he had chosen to exercise his power, the Straw Hat Pirates would have found escape impossible.

...

After a restful night in Water 7, Luffy and his crew set sail the following day.

On Garp's ship, two lounge chairs had been set out; in them sat two figures watching the departing Straw Hat Pirates. Kuzan, with his eyeshade lifted, watched the ship fade into the horizon.

"Let me guess, you used me as an excuse to secretly meet the Straw Hat Pirates here, right?" Brontes spoke calmly to Kuzan beside him, reclining comfortably in his chair.

"Yes, why would I waste such an excuse if available?" Kuzan responded with a nod.

"Haha! As expected of you, Kuzan, daring to use me as an excuse to sneak out of Marineford. If Sengoku finds out, you'll be in serious trouble." Brontes laughed and said.

"I know you won't sell me out." Kuzan replied, closing his eyes with a smile as he settled back.

Brontes shook his head, looking at him, he said: "My vacation is over. It was a nice break, but I guess it's time to head back and deal with those guys."

"The World Nobles have been quite active recently, and there have been some issues on Dr. Vegapunk's side." Kuzan added.

"Just move the base to another island. The marines there were careless and let Caesar escape. They didn't even use seastone handcuffs; they only have themselves to blame." Brontes shook his head.

"Well, that's your problem now." Kuzan remarked lazily.

"You're wrong, since Borsalino is in charge of the SSG, he's the one who'll have to clean up this mess, not me." Brontes said with a smile.

"Fair enough, the guy did get scolded by the Five Elders. But knowing his attitude, he probably won't take it as seriously as they hope." Kuzan chuckled.

At that moment, Garp put on his coat again, spotting Brontes and Kuzan laid back on the deck lazily and comfortably. Annoyed that they were sitting in his spot, he rushed over, and raised his fists.

"You two basterds!" Garp shouted loudly.

"Sir!" The surrounding naval soldiers responded, nearly scared to death as Garp boldly decided to attack both an Admiral and a Fleet-Admiral simultaneously.

The soldiers, never having witnessed such a scene, were too frightened to move. Koby and Helmeppo's eyes bulged out, their mouths agape in shock.

"Pff! Bang!"

In a surprising display, Brontes' head vanished in a lightning streaks, and Kuzan's head turned into a pile of ice.

Neither of their bodies moved, but their heads were momentarily gone, playing along with Garp's dramatic approach.

"Tch, a couple of brats!" Garp grumbled, seeing Brontes and Kuzan already using their powers. He shook his arms dismissively and snorted coldly.

"Alright, old man, I need to get back to Mariejois. I can't keep running around with you. Sengoku-san is going to be angry at someone again—and of course, it's not me, it's you guys." Brontes said as his head reformed.

"Let him be angry, then." Garp replied nonchalantly.

"I'll definitely get scolded when I get back, but whatever, just act like you didn't see me, just assume you ran into me by chance, Garp-san." Kuzan said as he stood up, lifting his bicycle from beside the road.

Brontes started walking toward the stern; his airship, driven here a few hours earlier by some naval soldiers, was already waiting at the rear of the warship.

This time, his return wouldn't be to Marineford. As for Enel, Brontes decided not to take him along but to leave him under Garp's supervision—a bit of tough love to teach him a lesson.

After a while, he would bring Enel back. Having been disciplined by Garp's rigorous methods, Enel had become significantly more obtained, likely to follow even the most humbling commands if Garp demanded.

Boarding the airship alone, Brontes soon received a call from the Five Elders.

"BluBlurr!"

"What? I see, he is already arrived at Mariejois? He wants a position among the Seven Shichibukai? Hahaha, then give it to him." Brontes laughed loudly as he sat in the airship heading towards Mariejois.

After hanging up the Den Den Mushi, Brontes's face took on a grim yet smiling expression.

"The ultimate battle is finally coming!"
