<><><><><><>
A young man, barely seventeen or eighteen, emerged from the rebels' ranks.
Riding a camel and wielding a scimitar, he shouted up at King Cobra on the city walls,
"Cobra! Because you used Dance Powder, it hasn't rained in any city in the Kingdom of Alabasta except for the capital, Alubarna."
"The land is parched, and the farmers have harvested nothing for the past two years."
"Countless refugees have died from famine. Now, you've fallen to being surrounded by us, the rebel army, and it's all because of your actions as king."
Seeing King Cobra being berated by a boy who had just come of age and in front of an army of over 500,000, Chaka couldn't hold back any longer.
He shouted at the rebels, "You immature brat, what do you know?"
"You believe Cobra is responsible just because Crocodile used some simple tricks?"
"Use your brain and think carefully. Before Crocodile arrived in the Kingdom of Alabasta, did anything like this ever happen?"
Hearing Chaka's words, Koza hesitated. Regarding intelligence and strategic vision, Koza far surpassed others his age.
Otherwise, at the age of eighteen or nineteen, he wouldn't have been able to lead an army of over 500,000 and successfully trap the king in the capital, Alubarna.
What Chaka said wasn't something Koza hadn't considered.
It was after being shot by a soldier from the king's guard that Koza gradually dismissed these doubts and shifted his suspicion onto King Cobra.
While Koza was still uncertain, King Cobra stepped forward and spoke,
"I know you've been forced into becoming rebels, and it's because of my incompetence as a king that the Kingdom of Alabasta has fallen into civil unrest."
"This is my responsibility, and I won't deny it."
"But there's one thing I must make clear: the true mastermind behind all this is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Crocodile."
"His goal is to take control of the Kingdom of Alabasta. If you don't believe me, wait a few days."
"Vivi has gone to deal with Crocodile, and when she returns, she will prove I'm telling the truth."
After Cobra finished speaking, only a small part of the rebel army was stirred. Most rebels still didn't believe what Cobra was saying.
They thought he was just trying to buy time. The idea that Princess Vivi could take down Crocodile seemed like a foolish dream with no credibility.
Just as Cobra was about to continue explaining, a strange smile appeared on a soldier's face on the city wall.
Suddenly, he raised his gun and aimed it at Koza below. Chaka, catching sight of the soldier's actions from the corner of his eye, was instantly drenched in cold sweat.
He shouted, "What are you doing? Put down that gun!" Unfortunately, the soldier had already pulled the trigger when Chaka yelled.
"Bang!" The gunshot wasn't particularly loud in the noisy environment, but it still caught the attention of many.
A yellowish bullet sped straight towards Koza's head. One of the rebel commanders beside Koza shouted, "Watch out!"
Still dazed after hearing Cobra mention that Vivi had gone to deal with Crocodile, Koza didn't notice the incoming bullet.
Just as it was about to hit him, the commander next to Koza leaped forward and tackled him to the ground.
Koza snapped out of his daze, holding onto the commander and frantically asking, "Kebi, are you okay? Are you alright?"
Kebi lifted his head, revealing a pained smile as he struggled to speak.
"Koza, don't forget our childhood dream..."
The bullet hadn't hit Koza, but it had struck Kebi in the back. As soon as he finished speaking, Kebi's head slumped to the side, lifeless.
"Kebi!" Koza cried out in anguish.
Kebi and Koza had been childhood friends, and throughout the time they spent establishing the rebel army and fighting battles across the land, Kebi had grown to become Koza's right-hand man.
Their bond was as close as brothers. But now, Kebi had sacrificed his life to save Koza, falling to a covert shot from the royal army.
Koza was consumed by rage, his mind filled with only one thought: to breach Alubarna and kill King Cobra to avenge his fallen brother.
The sight of Kebi's death also fueled the fury of the 500,000-strong rebel army. Their resolve hardened, and their morale surged.
Koza placed Kebi's body on the back of his camel. With hands stained with Kebi's blood, he drew his sword from his waist and shouted,
"Brothers, charge with me!"
"Kill King Cobra! Avenge the innocent victims of the disaster! Avenge Kebi!"
The 500,000-strong rebel army roared in unison, "Kill! Kill! Kill!"
The massive rebel force began assaulting Alubarna from all directions.
Cobra, seeing the situation spiraling beyond control, could only instruct the royal guards to defend the walls and prevent the rebels from breaching the city.
At that moment, Chaka hurriedly approached, his face filled with fury as he witnessed the rebels' attack on the city.
He slammed his fist against the wall in frustration. Cobra quickly asked, "Did you find the soldier who fired that shot?"
Chaka shook his head dejectedly. "That guy slipped back into the city right after firing and disappeared into the crowd."
Cobra let out a deep sigh. "That soldier was likely another of Crocodile's pawns. I never imagined he'd have such an impact at this crucial moment."
"Yes, if not for that shot, we might have held out until Princess Vivi returned with the evidence against Crocodile to prove the truth to the rebels.
But now... sigh!" Chaka scratched his head in frustration, utterly helpless.
As the rebels drew closer, Chaka urged, "Your Majesty, you should return to the palace. We can hold the walls."
Cobra drew the ornamental sword from his waist and said, "If the walls fall, what difference does it make whether I'm here or back at the palace?"
"I'll stay on the walls and wait for Vivi and Byakuya to return."
Seeing Cobra's determination, Chaka didn't press the matter further. He silently resolved that he would protect King Cobra at all costs.
Even if the defense failed, he would ensure that he died before the king.
The brutal siege was about to begin.
The rebels, lacking proper weapons, could only wield iron hoes, shovels, and other farming tools, with tattered cloths draped over them as makeshift armor.
Despite their crude equipment, the sheer number of rebels overwhelmed the royal army on all sides of the walls.
The royal soldiers could not hold their ground against the tide of attackers.
Groups of ten rebels wielded iron hoes, striking at soldiers together. Even soldiers clad in armor couldn't withstand the onslaught.
With a scream, a soldier was hacked into pieces, leaving nothing but a bloody mess.
The battle grew increasingly fierce, with the royal army being pushed back step by step. Three of the four walls had already fallen.
At that moment, a figure appeared on the horizon—and that person was Pell.
