We Are No Different

"Hachi... Kuroobi... Chew..." Arlong looks at his fallen comrades one by one as his anger rises.

"They are small fish, after all. It's a million and fifty thousand years too early for them to go against a cook. Looks like this game is ours for the taking." Says Sanji while tapping his shoes on the ground to get rid of dirt.

"I will become a demon if I have to but I will not lose anymore, not to some mere fish out of water." Zoro puts his hand on Wado Ichimonji preparing to intervene if needed. I just glare at Arlong while the people watching are taken aback at how easily we dispatched Arlongs cadre.

"Amazing... They actually managed to take down all of Arlong's officers!" Nojiko says in amazement.

"HOW DERE YOU DO THIS TO MY BRETHREN! BUT YOU'RE GETTING TOO COCKY IF YOU THINK YOU'VE ALREADY WON!" Arlong shouts with rage as his muscles twitch and tighten. Arlong punches Luffy and sends him flying away and then starts throwing water bullets at us.

"WATCH OUT!" I shout and dodge them with my Haki and Sanji and Zoro also try to dodge but Arlong's water bullets are faster than Chew's and he gets some hits on them.

"GOMU GOMU NO...!" Luffy grabs hold of some rubble and rebounds back "ROCKET!" and tries to hit Arlong but Arlong dodges as Luffy crashes to the wall and gets stuck.

"USOPP, COVERING FIRE, NOW!" I shout and rush towards Arlong with Zoro.

"Y-YES! C-CERTAIN KILL LEAD STAR!" Usopp starts firing shots at Arlong while avoiding hitting us.

Arlong throws more water bullets at us but as I avoid them same can't be said about Zoro. His wounds from Mihawk still are opening again and he isn't able to dodge so well anymore. Zoro decides to cut the water bullets that are going for the vitals while walking off the others. I arrive first and start slashing Arlongs legs but unfortunately my daggers are not sharp enough to penetrate his sharkskin.

Arlong notices this and ignores me to focus on Zoro and shoots water bullets at him with both his hands and hits him in the wound on his chest opening it. I try to knife Arlong in the balls but he catches me and throws me at Zoro.

*CRACK* *GASP!* A crack sounds as my fragile bones almost break from the impact and I gasp for breath as air leaves my lungs. Meanwhile Sanji succeeds in kicking Arlong a couple of times but is also wounded by a swarm of water bullets.

"I can kill humans like you without even directly touching you if I have some water. This is the difference in power between our races." Arlong gloats his fisman superiority views as he looks at our wounded figures.

"Shut the hell up! POITRINE SHOT!" Sanji tries to kick Arlong again but Arlong dodges and shoots another set of water bullets downing Sanji.

"Hurry up and die already. It's not as if your lives are actually worth anything." Arlong looks down on us in spite.

"ARLONG!" Nami appears with a shout and everyone is surprised by her sudden arrival.

"Nami... Great timing. I was just about to kill these pirates. So what brings you here?"

"I came here. To kill you!"

"TO KILL ME!? SHAHAHAHA! In the 8 years you've been with me. How many times have you tried to kill me? Whether by assassination, poisoning, or surprise attacks. But did you ever succeed! Shouldn't you know well by now that it's impossible for inferior humans to kill me!? Listen well. I'm not going to kill you. And I won't let you escape either! I'll have you be my cartographer forever!"

"But as you know, I'm an understanding guy! I don't want to chain down a young woman if possible. That's why I'd rather have you be my cartographer out of your own will. Other than you, I'm planning to kill everyone here right now but... If you agree to join the Arlong Pirates again, and continue drawing maps for me as one of my crew officers, I'll specially allow the lives of those Cocoyasi villagers to be spared!"

"I can't say the same for these guys, however. They've pissed me off too much. So which will you choose to side with? Will you choose to side with me and save your fellow villagers? Or will you side with these weaklings and attempt to fight me? But of course, seeing as how your most dependable fighters have been reduced to this sad state, your inevitable tragedy is only too easy to see! So tell me, Nami! ARE YOU WITH ME? OR WITH TME?"

After bit of an inner struggle Nami turns towards the villagers.

"I'M SORRY, EVERYONE! BUT WOULD YOU PLEASE, DIE WITH ME!?" and the villagers agree with their best war cry they can muster.

"I see... So you all choose to die..."

"HAH...! Big talk... from a fish... who ran away... from Grand Line... Heheheh... You ran away... from the monsters that live in the Grand Line... to go to the weakest sea to feel like a king... Ain't that right? Hoodlum of the Fishman District, Arlong?" I and the rest get up from the ground and stand firm in the way to protect Nami and the villagers.

"HOW DO YOU...!"

"Hey, Arlong... Do you know who are the most recent best fishman slave capturers? Hehehe"

"What are you getting at...?"

"Hehehe. Remember the kids you preached for in the Fishman District? They all are grown up now. And they are following your words like it was their meaning of life. And those who oppose their views... hehehe... They are sold to the humans and the money they make is used to fuel their mission. Hehehe. Fishman slavery is booming stronger than ever, after all, who are better to capture fishmen then fishmen themselves? Does it feel good? To be the reason why your own kind is being sold to slavery in such high numbers? You must be proud of what you've achieved. Hahahahaha!"

This shocks not only Arlong but everyone present. The ones who are taking the news the hardest are Arlong and some of his crew that are barely conscious.

"The only reason Shyarly and her friends have not been sold or killed is only thanks to Jinbe."

"YOU LIE! YOU HUMANS ARE SCUM WHO BETRAY OTHERS ALL THE TIME! WHY SHOULD I TRUST YOUR WORDS!?"

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! We are no different you idiot. Only thing different is that you can live under water. Your kin lie and betray each other as we speak! And who are you to speak! You betrayed your own captains wishes! I guess Tiger's last words meant nothing to you!"

"SHUT UP!!!!" Arlong almost goes into his berserk state as his eyes start turning to slits as he is about to rush at us.

"PISTOL!" Usopp finally frees Luffy from the rubble and Luffy hits Arlong on his face making him fly to the wall for the second time but Luffy also took a hold of Arlong with his other hand. "ROCKET!" and Luffy this time successfully smashes himself on Arlong and "GATLING!" continues to smash Arlong with a rapid barrage of punches. "Whew..." Luffy stops and takes a breath like he didn't just combo Arlong's ass.

"Did you... just do something?" Arlong gets out of the rubble like nothing happened.

"Yup. My warm-up exercise." Luffy says as he cracks his knuckles.

"Shahahahaha... Not bad for a pathetic human. But do you understand just how angry I am?" Arlong asks while Luffy is doing stretches in front of him like he is getting ready for a yoga class.

"The seething rage I feel after seeing my beloved brethren be crushed and mocked by pathetic insects! I'll show you that you would've been better off dying somewhere else."

"Attack Luffy! I'll be backing you up!" Usopp shouts behind his cover.

"I guess it's break time. Time to watch the show." The three of us sit down and watch as Luffy and Arlong prepare to fight each other properly.
