Mastering Future Sight, Viola Appears

Law sat on the edge of the ship, using his binoculars to observe the ferocious battle between Kaido and Sanders along the coastline of Dressrosa.

The two combatants were wreaking havoc, with the land itself seeming to quake beneath their blows.

"Huh? What's that?"

Robin's puzzled voice broke Law's concentration.

"What is it?" he asked, lowering his binoculars and glancing at her.

"Those fine threads in the sky... Are they fireworks?" Robin pointed toward a section of the sky over Dressrosa.

Following her finger, Law raised his binoculars again.

What he saw made his eyes widen, a drop of cold sweat forming on his brow.

"That's... the Birdcage!"

Memories of the past surged into his mind.

It was the same move that had trapped him and Corazon years ago, the day he consumed the Ope-Ope Fruit.

If not for the Birdcage, they might have escaped that island, and Corazon... he might still be alive.

This move was etched deeply into his memory, and its appearance now ignited a burning anger within him.

"Birdcage? What is that?" Robin asked curiously.

Law explained, his voice growing more agitated.

"It's one of Doflamingo's techniques. He uses his Devil Fruit powers to create these strings, which form a cage-like structure around an island. The strings are sharp enough to cut through buildings, and no one can escape once it's deployed. Worse, the cage gradually shrinks, destroying everything within its boundaries!"

Robin's expression darkened as she processed the implications.

"Is he insane? Is he really planning to kill everyone in Dressrosa?!" Law's voice, calm at first, became laced with rage.

"Destroy what you can't have... truly a madman!" Robin muttered, her own face pale.

It was beyond shocking that someone like Doflamingo would dare attempt such a thing. Dressrosa wasn't just some random village or unaligned island—it was a World Government affiliate.

If the kingdom were destroyed, the government would surely label Doflamingo as a fugitive, erasing any protection his former position as a Warlord granted him.

"How do we stop it?" Robin asked, her voice laced with urgency.

After a brief pause, Law responded, "The usual way to stop a Devil Fruit ability is to knock out the user. Another option is sheer brute force—someone strong enough, like Sanders, could probably cut through the Birdcage."

Law added, "This technique is devastating to average pirates and Marines, but it won't hold against top-tier fighters. Doflamingo himself knows that. If he believed otherwise, he wouldn't fear someone like Kaido so much."

Robin let out a sigh of relief. "Then it should be fine."

She continued with a calm smile, "Issho, our vice-captain, has already gone to handle it. He'll take care of everything."

Her confidence soothed Law somewhat.

"Issho's strength is acknowledged even by the captain. And don't forget, he once defeated Crocodile, another Warlord of the Sea."

Hearing this, Law's tense expression relaxed.

He'd have doubted such reassurances in the past, but after seeing the monstrous power of their captain—fighting Kaido on equal footing—he found a new sense of trust.

The battle along the coastline raged on.

Amidst the chaos, Sanders had already noticed the Birdcage. His heightened Observation Haki, fully active during his duel with Kaido, had alerted him the moment Doflamingo initiated the move.

For now, though, his focus remained on the hulking figure before him.

Kaido, his horns gleaming in the sunlight, was a beast of legend. Yet even he seemed human compared to Sanders.

Sanders grinned, his weapon poised, exuding an aura of overwhelming confidence. "You think a Birdcage will stop me?" he muttered to himself before lunging forward to clash with Kaido once more.

However, he didn't pay it much mind.

Because Issho would take care of everything.

In the original story, Admiral Issho didn't cut down the Birdcage for specific reasons:

First, as a Marine Admiral and part of the same alliance as the Warlords, he was bound by rules and couldn't directly act against Doflamingo.

Second, he didn't want the Marines to resolve this situation. Issho was a gambler at heart. He bet on Luffy to win and expose the flaws of the Warlord system to the world.

So, until the "dice" landed, Issho wouldn't interfere. And in the original story, he won that bet.

But now, things are different. Issho could fully unleash his abilities to solve this crisis.

Doflamingo was absolutely no match for him!

BOOM!

On the battlefield, Sanders was sent flying by a strike from Kaido's spiked club.

He skidded across the ground for several dozen meters before barely coming to a stop.

Quickly getting back on his feet, Sanders looked much worse than before, with his head covered in blood.

Without the ability to foresee the future with Observation Haki, engaging in close combat with Kaido was proving too costly.

What's more, Kaido's defense was significantly superior.

If it weren't for Sanders' top-tier Armament Haki, he might have already been severely injured.

"Oohohohoho!"

"Sanders, at this rate, you'll eventually be beaten to death by me!" Kaido laughed heartily as he hefted his spiked club.

His own condition wasn't great either, with blood covering his face, just like Sanders.

"I'll admit your strength is formidable, but without the ability to foresee the future, your defense can't match mine. Sooner or later, you'll lose to me!"

"Why don't you call that vice-captain of yours to join the fight? I hear he's quite capable."

"I wouldn't mind if you both ganged up on me!" Kaido roared with laughter, extending an invitation to Sanders.

As someone who had stormed into the territories of Emperors and the Marines alone countless times, Kaido was no stranger to being ganged up on.

"Is that so?"

Sanders wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, glancing at the derivation panel with a smirk.

True to Kaido's reputation as a great teacher, fighting him was indeed fast-paced learning!

On the panel, new notifications appeared:

[Observation Haki – Future Sight of Kaido successfully derived!]

[Currently deriving Kaido's "Indestructible" special physique. Time remaining: 3 years, 261 days, 13 hours.]

[Currently deriving Kaido's Zoan Mythical Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon. Time remaining: 3 years, 198 days, 7 hours.]

This battle had proven incredibly rewarding for Sanders.

Not only had he derived the ability to foresee the future with Observation Haki, but the derivation of the Azure Dragon Fruit and Kaido's indestructible physique was progressing rapidly.

He believed that if the fight continued, these two abilities would soon be fully derived.

With a powerful leap, Sanders charged toward Kaido, throwing a punch directly at him.

"It's useless, Sanders! Your Observation Haki can't match mine, so all you can do is trade blow for blow. Your defense isn't as strong as mine, so if you keep this up, you'll be the one to fall in the end!"

Kaido's spiked club, wrapped in Conqueror's Haki, swung toward Sanders as the two continued their fierce clash.

But as the battle wore on, Kaido began to notice something unusual.

Previously, he would hit Sanders twice for every one punch Sanders managed to land on him.

Now, however, it was evenly matched!

Kaido's expression changed as if he'd realized something.

"You... You actually learned how to foresee the future with Observation Haki?!"

Kaido's face was filled with astonishment, staring at Sanders as if he were some sort of monster.

"All thanks to you, Kaido!" Sanders grinned, revealing bloodstained teeth.

"Without your live demonstration, how could I have learned so quickly?"

"Ohohohoho!"

"You never fail to surprise me, Sanders!"

"I never thought you'd master it this fast!"

Kaido laughed heartily as he spoke.

Previously, he thought Sanders had mastered Shiki the Golden Lion's swordsmanship and the use of Conqueror's Haki infusion only after experiencing a major battle.

This was completely normal.

Gaining new insights after a life-and-death fight is one of the most crucial ways for pirates on the seas to improve. It's also the fastest way to grow stronger.

Staying at home to train can yield results, but it's nowhere near as effective as actual battle.

Yet now, Sanders had given Kaido a tremendous surprise—he had comprehended Future Sight Observation Haki during their fight!

Not only that, but his use of it didn't resemble someone who had just grasped the ability.

Being able to foresee the future and using the foreseen information effectively in battle are entirely different levels of skill.

Sanders was fighting as though he had undergone countless battles, with seamless adaptation and execution.

There wasn't a shred of hesitation or clumsiness one might expect from someone new to the ability.

This kind of combat talent was terrifying!

"Marvelous, Sanders!"

"With someone like you around, I won't be alone anymore!"

"I've spent my life defeating those who claimed to be stronger than me. And before I knew it, I had become the strongest."

"And do you know what you can see from up here? Nothing but the sight of being unmatched!"

"It's so dull!"

"Do you understand, Sanders? It's utterly dull!"

"But you... You've shown me someone who can surpass me!"

Kaido rested his spiked club on his shoulder and burst into laughter.

To face an opponent like Sanders, only twenty years old and capable of fighting him to this degree, who displayed monstrous learning abilities during the battle—Kaido couldn't help but marvel.

He couldn't even imagine how strong Sanders might become in just a few more years!

"Don't flatter yourself, Kaido!"

"Among the other Emperors, how many can you beat with absolute certainty?"

Sanders scoffed without hesitation.

He didn't deny Kaido's strength—the man's unparalleled defense was so robust that even a strike infused with Conqueror's Haki barely left a mark.

But to claim Kaido was the strongest? Sanders wasn't buying it.

The other three Emperors—each one was a monster in their own right.

If Kaido truly fought them to the death, at best, it would end in mutual destruction.

"You don't get it, Sanders!"

Kaido didn't take Sanders' taunt to heart.

"I admit I can't guarantee a total victory against them. But neither can they against me!"

"What I want to see isn't someone who can merely stand on equal footing with me."

"I want to see someone who can surpass me!"

Kaido roared with laughter, raising his spiked club high.

"Being at the top of the world... It's just too boring!"

"Come, Sanders! Let's see who falls first!"

Kaido's battle spirit burned brightly as he launched another attack with his spiked club.

Sanders, more than willing, clenched his fists and charged head-on.

No one knew how much time had passed.

Above Dressrosa, the threads of the Birdcage vanished.

On the Thunder God Ship, Nami stepped out onto the deck with a cup of juice in her hand.

"That Birdcage thing is gone. Let's head over to Uncle Issho," she suggested.

"Judging by the looks of Captain and Kaido, their fight might take a while."

Nami's proposal was met with a glance exchanged among Law and the others, who nodded in agreement.

By this time, everyone who had been unconscious aboard the ship was awake.

Some of them had already eaten two meals, yet Sanders and Kaido were still fighting.

Under Nami's command, the Thor flew toward the heart of Dressrosa.

Meanwhile, inside Dressrosa's royal palace.

Doflamingo and several of his officers lay unconscious on the ground.

Issho stood nearby with his cane-sword sheathed, a conflicted expression on his face.

Surrounding him was an army of countless toys.

All of these toys had been forced to the ground by Issho's gravity ability.

".. Issho?"

Nami shouted as she leaped off the Ship.

"Has Doflamingo already been defeated? Uncle Issho, you're amazing!"

Her eyes immediately fell on Doflamingo, clad in his signature pink feathered coat, lying unconscious on the ground.

"Are all these... toys?"

"They look just like real people! And they can move? That's incredible!" Nami said, staring curiously at the struggling toys sprawled on the ground.

"Are they the result of a Devil Fruit user?" Robin asked as she descended from the ship.

"Law, you're the most familiar with the Donquixote Family. Do you know of any Devil Fruit users with such abilities?" Nami asked, turning to Law.

"I'm not sure. I didn't see anyone with such powers when I left them," Law replied, shaking his head.

When he had parted ways with Doflamingo, the tyrant hadn't yet overthrown King Riku's regime or become a Warlord of the Sea. Some of the current members of his crew were unfamiliar to Law.

"What should we do with these toys, then?" Nami asked. "Should we destroy them all?"

Her hands crackled with electricity as she turned to Issho for guidance.

"For now, there's no need to resort to such measures," Issho replied, shaking his head. "I've visited here before, but I don't recall Dressrosa ever being a kingdom full of living toys."

"This is likely Doflamingo's doing. Until we understand what these toys truly are, it's best not to destroy them all outright."

The world of Devil Fruits held countless mysteries and strange powers.

If these toys were originally lifeless objects imbued with some kind of vitality, it would be one thing.

But if they were once people transformed into toys, killing them all would be a grave mistake.

This was precisely why Issho had chosen to use his gravity powers to restrain the toys rather than summon a meteor to obliterate them entirely.

"Alright," Nami said as the sparks in her hands dissipated.

"Did anyone in the Donquixote Family say anything about this?" Robin asked.

Issho smiled sheepishly.

To resolve the battle quickly, he had knocked out all of Doflamingo's subordinates before questioning them, leaving no opportunity for interrogation.

At that moment, the sound of approaching footsteps echoed in the distance.

A woman wearing a dress appeared before them.

"She's one of Doflamingo's officers," Law said, gripping Kikoku with a wary expression. "I saw her standing with him on the shore earlier."

"I am Viola," the woman said, introducing herself without hesitation.

"I am the second princess of Dressrosa and King Riku's daughter. I was forced to join the Donquixote Family."

Seeing the Thunder God Pirates preparing to act, Viola quickly explained her identity.

After witnessing the strength of the Thunder God Pirates, she had resolutely decided to leave the Donquixote Family and had even helped rescue the Tontatta princess, who had been imprisoned.

Viola had long been unwilling to serve Doflamingo.

She had kept her eye on Issho throughout the conflict.

When Doflamingo deployed his Birdcage, she had felt despair, knowing all too well the power of that technique.

She had believed Dressrosa was doomed under Doflamingo's hands, but Issho's intervention had turned the tide. He defeated Doflamingo and his officers, giving her a sliver of hope.

However, her decision to come forward wasn't just because of Doflamingo's defeat.

To her, Dressrosa being ruled by another pirate crew wouldn't necessarily be much better.

But after seeing Issho's unwillingness to harm even the living toys, Viola chose to trust the Thunder God Pirates and offer them her assistance.

"A princess? Then why did you join the Donquixote Family?" Nami asked curiously.

"It was to save my father, King Riku. I am a user of the Glare-Glare Fruit, and Doflamingo found my ability valuable," Viola explained honestly.

"So you're the 'all-seeing Clairvoyant' I've heard about?" Nami asked, eyes lighting up with interest.

"So the captain was right—it is a woman."

She let out a small sigh of relief. "Good thing too. Otherwise, that would've been... unsettling."

"Yes, that's me," Viola admitted openly.

Without her unique ability, Doflamingo wouldn't have seen value in her and forced her into his crew.

"Doflamingo took control of our family's kingdom through underhanded schemes. He used his String-String Fruit to manipulate my father into massacring soldiers and civilians," Viola began explaining, her past
