Chapter 9: Progress on strawhats side

The strawhats had reached the Baratie Restaurant by the time Harry was done with helping the syrup villagers. So, Nothing changed so far. Everything was going in the exact same manner as it did in the plot. Luffy defeated the ungrateful Don Krieg pirates and Nami went with the Going Merry to Cocoyashi village as well. 

And that was the time when Harry had finished helping everyone in Syrup village and made his own small ship that he was going to use. 

'Hmm, Luffy is going to go to Baratie next and after that, the Cocoyashi arc is going to happen. That's the perfect time to rejoin the group. Plus I also can help them with repairing the village and take some 'good' care of that corrupt cat-looking marine. 

Ok, it's been decided. Time to go to Cocoyashi village. 

Hmm, But what would be the fastest manner? I don't want to get there only to see that all the action is done already.'

'Wait. Can I make something like those spring-using toy cars?'

Hmm, so, he modified the small boat. 

First, he added a pedal that uses bike-like chains. After that, he made the sails retract.

'Hmm, let's begin a long leg day.'

"Hey. I hope you return one day, Harry." Brock said to Harry.

"Heh, sure. Maybe after a couple of years I'll return. But you'll probably hear about me much sooner."

"I'd like to see that." Brock said his goodbye.

On the shore, in his small boat, Harry was transformed into Luffy under his mask. That's usually the form that he uses the most because of its great strength.

Harry twisted his legs around the pedal as much as he could. And soon like a rubber clicking back into place, his legs began to rewind. And with that, the boat rushed forward with extreme speed like a jet ski.

"Whooooooooo, this is so awesome!!!!!!"

 Harry yelled out as he disappeared into the horizon.

Meanwhile, Luffy was going to Cocoyashi village.

Nami was glad that she finally had enough berries for freeing her village and herself from the tyrant ruler fishman Arlong. 

And she did not want anyone else to get hurt. Even if she had to get hurt instead. So, that's what happened. She stabbed her hand so that Usopp would survive.

She had to ask everyone to stay away from her so that they would not be hurt by Arlong because of her.

And she was successful. 

Even after Luffy went there, Nami managed to keep everyone safe from Arlong. And she asked Luffy to go back. To not bother her anymore. 

But there was one thing. Only one thing that ruined everything. One thing that managed to destroy all her hopes and dreams. And that was the marine called Captain Nezumi. 

This piece of turd was so corrupt, he let Arlong destroy the lives of the people in Conomi islands. If he had a little bit of morals, he would've asked for reinforcements if he was unable to keep Arlong away. 

But no. He never even tried to resist Arlong. He took full advantage of the people and took copious bribes from Arlong. He even tried to hush the information that Arlong was terrorizing the people here. 

And at the last moment, when Nami had the money to take back the cocoyashi village and herself freom Arlong, This vile piece of rotten flesh, 'confiscated' the money. 

And even tried to give most of it to Arlong as well.

This one person caused way too much pain for way too many people. But he essentially got away scot-free.

The only form of punishment he got was a bit of humiliation from Garp when Garp ordered his people to take care of Arlong.

This guy was the one that put a bounty on Luffy's head for doing the right thing. This was the guy that Harry and everyone hated. 

And this was the man that Harry had a bone to pick with.

Nami had told everyone to get away. But when the marines came to her house, she was powerless. 

Nami went to Arlong weeping and betrayed. Yet, it was useless. 

She was powerless. There was nothing more she could do. She asked her villagers to not seek vengeance. Because they would be slaughtered by Arlong and his crew. 

But they did not listen. The people had reached their breaking point. And with them, so had Nami.

The moment she had felt that it was all useless and she just sat there stabbing her arm where the arlong pirate crew tattoo was, Harry was there. 

And so was Luffy. Harry had reached there for some time observing everything. 

The manga did the situation justice, but it could not convey everybit of the horror of seeing a village with almost everyone dead. 

Many things had to be redacted. Like what happens to a bedridden person when their house is flipped upside down with them in it. 

There was a reason that no old people were shown in Cocoyashi village in the manga. Yet, Harry was too young when he first read the manga to realise all the hidden implications. 

Seeing all the destruction and the pain was something he had never experienced before. Yet for the people living in this village, it was a normal matter. They had gotten used to it. 

Harry was a bit away from them as Luffy declared that he was going to help her. Because Of course he will.

Seeing that scene still brought a small tear and happiness to Harry's eyes.

'I'm so glad that Luffy is the same and not an alternate version of him.'

As the crew was gathered with Usopp, Zoro and Sanji. They knew everything. And the moment Luffy said, "Let's go."

There was nothing more to be said, except, "Roger!"

Harry joined them as well. There was no need for staying in the shadows. Or anything else. He had made his decision. To help the people. He also needed to help them all so that they would definitely find the One Piece. 

And mostly, he was tired of worrying about butterfly effects. Why worry when you can take everything head on. All you need is strength. And after awakening his armament haki in that weird method where he did not even know what happened, he was confident. 

Sanji and Usopp did not meet him before. But Sanji could feel his strength and Usopp trusted Luffy and Zoro. There was no need for introductions on the battlefield. They trusted each other because they knew what each other's goals were. Nami was shocked to see him though. She did not think that they would really meet again. Especially not like this.

But he was there. Along with everyone she cared about.

But Harry did leave a clone Hidden behind. Two Harrys, each armed with two Katanas, went to do their own task.

AN: This chapter was rushed, but we all know what was happening in those manga chapters. All that was to be added was Harry joining and going off to do something that he wanted to do. All that was left was just a general recap of everything that happened. Just a small reminder.
