One Piece: A Sailor's Journey

The lands have been conquered. Man has taken their first step throughout every island, country, and continent. Only one thing was left uncharted, the seas. Several decades has passed and yet, no one has conquered the waters of the world, until now. The golden age of exploration has emerged with countless Sailors and Pirates has started leaving behind their own trail for others to follow. With that however, comes inevitable bloodshed. For blood will follow those who seek Riches, Glory, and History. While Suffering and Misery comes to those who seek Peace, Harmony, and Euphoria. In the middle of these Ordeal and Conflict, a single small variable appeared. They didn't stop the conflicts, yet they ceased. Peace followed naturally as the blood seeped back to life. All paid respects for them who possessed the most valuable treasure of mankind. To the crew who sailed even the seas of the sky, to the embodiments of freedom. What were they called? Chapter 12 - Rewards

After yesterday's events, the crew felt too tired and wasted to even eat and just wished to lay down in a bed, and get their well deserved rest in a comfortable place.

Zoro and Luffy shared the bedroom upstairs, meanwhile Nami slept on the Captain's Cabin since Ame didn't expect there to be another member shortly after Zoro joined.

Ame was still awake but was also very tired, he was just planning to organize the items and objects inside the his room so it wouldn't look as cramped as before.

The old container for his canned foods and water when he first woke up in the sea was already at the storage cabin, along with their tools, old pair of paddles, and fishing pole.

The snorkel they had once was just stored inside the barrel in the Captain's cabin while on top of the barrel was the Antibiotics, deck of cards, and the Noland the Liar book he had.

The spare papers, quill and the ink bottle was placed on the table in front of the window along with the Map for the east blue, and the chart for the Grand line they recently received from Nami.

Before he fell asleep, he wanted to check the screen in case it had another quest or notifications related to what they just did earlier at Orange town.

When he opened the screen, he was greeted by the notifcation of his daily SP gain.

[ Day 7 of your Sailing! ]

Note: Our Sailor who once had the strength of an infant is finally growing up and becoming stronger! Like a 2 Year-old baby!! Huge improvement, but you'd still get demolished by slightly stronger opponents. Never get complacent. Also, try putting a Mini-Zoo in your ship if you can, seems like they're hellbent on giving you strange creatures to take care for.

[ ]

"Huh? That's the first time I've received or have ever seen a devil fruit ever since I've been here. It doesn't look like much but it's still a devil fruit!" Ame carefuly stored the devil fruit inside the barrel on the Captain's cabin, intending to talk about it with Zoro and Luffy when they awake.

[ Side-Step has leveled up to 6! (+2) ]

[ Burst Point (Blue) Lv. 1 ]

- Originally a sub-skill from the Staff Mastery skill, enhanced by the user's ideas and existing skills. This skill has formed.

- When attacking, a strong concentrated impact is formed on the point of impact of the attack, focusing on the most affected and damaged part or area of the attack.

- The impact is unable to spread out.

Note: Is it just me, or is it still the same as it was when it was a Sub-skill, except that its more powerful and explained differently?

[ Lock-In (Gold) {Fused/Innate Skill} Lv.1 MAX ]

• A fusion of the Skill (Bullseye {Blue+}) and (X-Mark {Purple}).

- The user is bestowed with a superhuman vision, enabling them to spot a fly from 3 miles away.

- When focusing on an enemy, a mark will be embedded on them. The mark will last for 1 minute, allowing the user to pinpoint their exact location even while not using the skill.

- While marked, they will be visible regardless if they are incredibly flash or camouflaged, hidden, and semi-invisible. (This will depend on the enemy's ability, speed, and technique.)

- When using a projectile-based weapon, item, or attack. The user will receive an extraordinary increase in their accuracy for 5 seconds, afterwards the sub-ability will be unavailable to use for a Day.

Note: You finally obtained your first Gold ranked skill, your first REAL skill! It's just a shame that you didn't obtain it from gamb- I mean... Testing your Luck.

[ ]

A wave of astonishment and awe washed over Ame. He looked upon his skills, his strength, his fights, and how far he has come from being barely able to save someone, to having the power to help anyone without faltering.

He felt that... It was all too surreal.

He took the time to appreciate, and express his gratitude to the person who allowed him to become who he is now.

Even if they weren't a person.

After expressing his gratitude, he began analyzing his new skills and their possible applications and abilities.

"What does it mean when they said that I finally got a real skill? Maybe they just had a higher standards for a skill, regardless any skill that I obtained is still very useless to me." Ame looked at the skill Burst Point, the skill that he actually had obtained in the middle of the events at Orange Town.

The first skill that he was able to use without having any former knowledge of ever receiving it.

The information and ability to use the skill appeared all of a sudden in his head which enabled him to use it without ever being aware he received that skill.

With these in mind, he was able to come to the conclusion that it was possible to learn a skill even without being made aware by it, by the screen.

(A/N: Sure it should be already obvious to be able to use that, but Ame was under the assumption that the screen was the one giving him the skill as he is reading it, when it was in fact just relaying a reminder that Ame had learned that skill.)

While thinking, Ame's eyes caught a glance of the skill's abilities. "So that's why my enemies seemed to be agonizing in pain on just one particular part of the ir body when I use this, isn't it a bit excessive?" As if hearing Ame's concern, a note suddenly popped out from the screen.

[ Note: There are no such thing as excessiveness, "Too much", or "I have gone too far" When the enemies are gunning to hunt you, it is simply what you have to do to prevent them from doing so. ]

"Alright I get it, for now I think I'll focus on my rewards. I should probably use the Skill Level-up ticket, and level up my Plant Bind, it is too useful for me too ignore." Ame realized the actual value of this particulat skill.

Being able to restrain your opponents from a distance without needing to be up-close and personal with the enemy is very important, because even a moment of vulnerability can be the cause of your downfall.

[ Plant Bind has leveled up to 4! ]

- Increases the effective range to 5 meters

- Increases the durability of the Plant Bind. (Cannot be destroyed by hand unless they have sufficient strength, or many people are trying to destroy it by hand at the same time.)

Ame whistled, the skill's enhanced effects upon levelling up didn't fail Ame's expectations.

Ame also wanted to use the Skill upgrade ticket too, but there was a condition and a requirement to use it.

[ Skill upgrade ticket can be used to upgrade the quality of a skill, changing its entire structure, abilities, and conditions. The chosen skill must have at least reached level 10 for eligibility. ]

"So there's that, I'm guessing that my Staff Mastery would be the first to reach that threshold." Ame looked at the Ship section and realized that there was one last thing left to do for him.

"Saving the best part for last has never failed me so far, it's time to upgrade the ship again!!" Ame looked at the available ship upgrades and began contemplating on what part to improve on the ship.

[ ]

• Main/Mizzle-Mast/Sail (Lousy/Loose/Stitched)

• Captain's Cabin {Small} (Bad)

• Main Deck (Bad)

• Helm (Inadequate/Loose)

• Rudder (Inadequate)

• Rudder/Helm Lv.1 (20 SP)

- The ship's navigator. Slightly increases steering speed, and repairs its broken parts.

[ ]

"I'll upgrade the ship's Keel first since the Hull and the Deck's upgrades requires the Keel to be improved, it also gives me more assurance about the Ship's durability." Ame clicked the option to upgrade the Keel, as well as the ship's Rudder/Helm so as to not waste the remaining SP.

Outside, the same familiar light has enveloped the ship's Keel, Rudder, and Helm. Fixing their damages and tears, while the keel has especially become sturdier and bigger, but it definitely makes the Hull look a bit too small if anyone could see it.

With only 1 SP left, it doesn't take a preschooler to comprehend that there's nothing left to do. With this in mind, Ame could finally take his well-deserved and much needed to rest as he laid down on the second bed in the Captain's cabin and instantly drifted to sleep.

With the Strawhat pirates victory against the Buggy pirates, it marks the end of the first week of Ame's sailing. With everyone drifting off to sleep, peacefully.

{Chapter 12 - Fin}

-----

(A/N: I'm sorry if some people doesn't like my MC, but I wanted to say that from my review on my own work. I stated that I wrote this fanfic for the reason of wanting a One piece fanfiction in my own way.

A One piece fanfiction of my desire, where it's just a pure light-hearted story with a Good/Kind/Forgiving/Heroic MC, even if it's just once. I wanted a Fanfic and an MC that enhibits my desire, personality, and mindset.

An MC that would resonate with me and others who would like a Good MC for once, even if it's just a change of pace. An MC who do the right thing in any circumstance.

An MC who would always choose to save, and help anyone in need. I wrote this with that in my mind, who wouldn't do anything bad despite everything, who would always choose to do the right thing under any circumstances even if it's impossible or not logical.

A fanfic where the MC never does anything bad, or where anything remotely too dark or bad happens, a pure Light-hearted and good fanfic, that's what I want to read all this time. Although I have not read that type of fanfic since no one creates those anymore, I have decided to make that kind of fanfic myself.

For myself, and for others who feel the same way. So I'm sorry for those that wouldn't like this novel, or like an overly good MC with a light-hearted setting but I would never change it.

For those that continued reading and also want the same good themed fanfiction the same as me, thank you for reading and I hope ya'll enjoy reading the future story!)

Please read the Author's notes I left in the chapter and give me feedback about the story too if possible, thank you!!
