(Chapter 13) Beast vs Samurai
The sounds of steel clashing could be heard as they clashed in the middle of the field
Both Kaido and Ryu stood in a stalemate as the beast began overpowering the boy, "I can't fight him head on" thought Ryu as he jumped back to create some distance between himself and Kaido
He soon found himself on the floor as Kaido caught his leg and bashed him into the ground, 'That's not going to work on me' he said and raised his kanabo intending to finish the fight right there and then
He swung down as Ryu swung his burning blade against Kaido's weapon, sparks flew as Ryu tried getting away from the beast
He soon got up and jumped back a few meters "I can't win unless I use the styles I need to distract him" thought Ryu as he took in a lungful of air and dashed towards Kaido
'Orororo! Come at me Ryu!' laughed out Kaido as he raised his kanabo and shouted 'Raimei Hakke!'
'Fifth form: Flame tiger' Thought Ryu as he brought his blade to a high guard as a flaming tiger formed in front of him
Their weapons clashed and formed a shockwave that blew the trees around them, Ryu soon raised his blade once more intending to deal a vertical slash
Kaido dodged to the side before feeling something cut the right side of his body, "That little!" he thought
"shit! I need to-" He thought to himself as he tried to dodge but before he could do so kaido struck his kanabo dealing a blow right to his stomach
The sounds of something being pierced could be heard as Kaido's spiked weapon penetrated Ryu's clothes
Ryu soon went flying and hit the tree stump that the strange fruit lay upon as curled into himself gasping for air
Kaido raised both his hands as he celebrated his victory 'ORORORO! This is my 5th win' he said as he went over to check on his defeated opponent
He lay his kanabo on the ground as he kneeled in front of the downed Ryu 'Are you alright?' he asked as he fetched his water skin and offered it to him
Ryu nodded before accepting the offered container, 'Thanks' he said before emptying the contents of the water skin
Ryu just sat up before picking up the fruit and handing it to Kaido 'You won fair and square kaido-kun it's yours' he said
Kaido grinned before taking a huge bite of the fruit as he gaged due to the taste, he spits out most of it not before accidentally swallowing a bit
'What kind of fruit tastes like shit' he asked as he threw the fruit as it splattered on the tree
He just shuttered as Ryu stood up and sheathed his blade 'That was a good fight Kaido-kun, but I need to get going I'm sure Mother is getting worried' as he started walking off
'Give her my regards' Shouted out Kaido as he walked off towards his cave, Ryu just waved as he kept going further into the forest

A few minutes later Ryu reached his home he opened the front foot and took off his wooden slippers
The sounds of his mother humming in the kitchen could be heard as he walked into the living room to see his grandfather writing on a scroll
'Oh Ryu-chan you don't seem too well did you get in a fight with that ogre again?' he asked as he put down his brush
Ryu just chuckled as he sat next to him 'Yes Ji-chan we got into a fight but it was more of a wager instead of a classic match' he said as he rested his blade next to him
'Oh how come?' asked Minamoto as Hisho walked into the room holding a tray of fruits, she almost let go of the tray as she saw the state of her child
She put down the fruits before rushing over to him 'Ryu-chan what happened, you look like a mess' she said as she looked him over
'I'm fine Ka-san, I was just sparing' he said, his grandfather just sighed before he looked to his daughter 'The boy is fine he should go get cleaned up though'
Ryu just nodded and stood up before heading towards his room
Hisho sighed as she looked at her retreating child 'I don't want to see him hurt' she said as she went over to the tray and started peeling an apple
'It's natural Hisho-chan, all the children in the clan eventually get hurt along the path' he said as he closed the scroll and stood up
'He's only four years old a year child I don't get why he needs to get hurt' she said, Minamoto opened the window as he whistled
soon a crow landed as he attached the scroll to its leg, 'Deliver this to the clan leader' he said before the bird flew away
Ryu soon walked back in and looked at his grandfather in wonder 'Ji-chan why did that crow take away the scroll you were working on?' he asked
Minamoto just chuckled as he walked back and sat down next to him 'Our clan has trained these birds for generations to send out messages to people, and they reach them faster than a human messenger that's why we use crows' he explained as Ryu nodded
'Ji-chan when are we going to finish training the last style of flame breathing?' asked Ryu as he ate an apple slice his mother gave him
'You are not ready to learn the final breathing form, Maybe in a few more years but not right now' he said, smiling towards the child

Kong stood on the helm of the ship as he looked on towards Dressrosa, The island was plundered a few weeks back due to the Rocks pirates
'What's the status on their location' he barked out as Sengoku walked beside him
'They have been spotted near Wano, they seem to be going west from there but I'm not sure why' he replied
Kong just grunted 'What about the Roger pirates?' he asked, as he took out a cigar from inside his coat
'They have been also spotted near tailing the rocks pirates for some reason' Kong grinned hearing the news
'Good we can hit two birds with one stone by capturing both of them at the same time' he said as Sengoku nodded beside him
'How long till we're able to catch up to them' he asked as he took a drag on the cigar he just lit
'A week at most but a few days if the wind is in our favour' Said Sengoku, Kongs grin grew wider
"Soon ill bring both those crews to justice" he thought before heading back into the ships room's
