"I might not be your wife, but I'm your girlfriend. So I have every right to ask you whatever I need to know." She said with so much bravery in her voice. She sounded like that because she could no longer take how he stared at her.
What she said made him halt. "Girlfriend?" He echoed that word back to be sure of what he heard.
She confidently walked up to him and met his eyes. "Yes." She said with so much confidence.
He scoffed at what she said and narrowed his gaze to her. "You're only my girlfriend for two weeks. I don't even love you and I never gave you permission to be acting like one. Whatever that will happen in the remaining days of our relationship does not make us one. Understand that."
Those words came like a knife that stabbed directly to her heart, but she still kept her confident look. "I might be your girlfriend for two weeks or a day a minute or a second, I remain your girlfriend and I will act like one. Not just in bed, but in everything. Because I am your girlfriend."
They looked into each others eyes. He was surprised that someone like her spoke to him in such manner. How fascinating of her to do so. A devilish smirk hovered on his face.
"You're amusing you know. Such nerve for you to think so. I see you're not scared."
"I'm not scared of you. You're a human just like me and everyone else. Even if there's a beast in you, I will still remain unshakable because deep within, I know you have a soft spot."
"Even the devil won't think twice in hurting those around him."
Jane creased her brows in confusion at what he said. "W.....what do you mean by that?"
"Go to bed Ms Jane. It's late." He said and walked passed her.
Jane was quick enough to stop him from taking more steps by holding a piece of his coat. In what seem like a second, he flipped back to her and made her lie on the couch at her back with him hovering on her. Her heart skipped a beat in shock from how fast he did that. His grip on her hand over her head were strong.
"If you know what's good for you, I'd advice you to stop acting like my girlfriend or rather, a wife to me. This is your last warning Ms Jane." He said gritting his teeth and fury resonating in his voice.
She stared into his dark angry eyes. "And like I said earlier, I don't care if I'm your girlfriend for two weeks or less. All that matters is that I'm your girlfriend and I will act as one because I have all the right to do so."
His grip on her hands tightened. She winced in pain from within but didn't show it, rather she became more fearless and confident staring down at him.
"You can hurt me or hate me. But I'll never stop......"
"Shut up." He said, his teeth were gritted together really hard. "I don't want to ever see your face once this two weeks of our relationship is over. You're already suffocating me with your presence and your dumb attitude. Now, know this..," he gripped her hand more tightly. "You're only a contracted girlfriend. There's a big difference between a contracted girlfriend and a girlfriend whom you love. You know I told you I don't do love, so know your place Jane. You don't know what you're getting yourself into if you piss me off the more."
"I don't care." She said immediately as he finished his last sentence. "You're only a mere human being like everyone else out there. I don't care what I'm getting myself into as long as it's for you."
His grip on her loosened a little for a while and tightened back in the split of a second. He smirked. "I think you shouldn't waste your talent on me. You should go to the entertainment industry and be an actress. I think you can use that opportunity to tell the world about love."
"No matter where I am or whom I'm with, I don't need to speak about love. You'll see it through my actions."
"How fascinating. You really are amusing. Sometimes, you make me wonder why you were so desperate to be my girlfriend."
Silence permeated the room as she bit her lip. He doesn't know anything or why she chose him out of millions of people out there.
"Because I want to show you how beautiful this world is with love." She knew that was not the reason but she had to say that.
"And you think you can do it in two weeks?"
"Yes."
He laughed for a second. "How hilarious."
She kept looking at him with so much confidence but didn't say anything.
"You know, I think you should go have some sleep. You've had a long day and I can see it's affecting your mental health right now."
