CHAPTER 23: LOST AND FOUND

[FLORIDA, U.S.A]

Lisa sat on her bed thinking about what Benimaru told her.

"So that idiot really thinks he's trying to make the world a better place with all he's doing?"

She got up and walked out the door telling herself not to believe any of his gibberish.

[TOKYO, JAPAN]

Kyo was in the corridor on his way to meet Chairman Shidou when he saw Ino waiting around the corner.

<What are you waiting for around here?>

Kyo asked with a look of surprise on his face.

"I just wanted to know if you're feeling better"

Ino replied with a concerned look on her face.

<If that's all you wanted to know then I'm fine so please don't disturb me anymore>

Kyo walked out on Ino who was flabbergasted by his behavior.

Kyo stood in front of Chairman Shidou's office and was about to knock when-

"Come in, I know you're there"

Kyo opened the door and walked in.

<I'm ready to accept your theory, so how would we be able find her?>

"Well she's your sister, you should know what she likes and dislikes and all the places she wants to visit"

<She's visited a lot of places in Tokyo and little more the whole Japan, from what I know, she wanted to visit most were Canada U.S.A>

"Alright, I'll see what I can do"

"You can leave now"

Kyo bowed in front of Shidou and then left his office and went to the training room to blow off some steam.

He entered the LASER TRAP ROOM, which is a room that directs lasers at you and a single laser can cause severe injury, Hunters use the room to test their speed and agility and sometimes their durability.

Kyo turned on all the lasers to fire at him simultaneously they fired at the speed of light which he dodged easily and was shocked at how fast he had become.

<So I can go faster than light without qi control, that's refreshing>

He increased the speed of the lasers to 10x the speed of light and had them shoot at him at different intervals without him knowing which one shoots next.

He enhanced his movements with his qi and was able to outspeed the lasers causing Rin and Ino who were watching from afar to put on an astonished face.

Clap!, Clap!

Kyo heard someone clapping but didn't bother to look in that direction as he had at least thirty minutes more to endure the hazardous lasers.

He continually dodged the lasers at blinding speed in a way that even Rin wasn't able to see them.

"He put the lasers at a point that transcends the speed of light itself, which means it's faster than my basic technique"

Kyo continually dodged the lasers effortlessly.

Three... Two... One.

The lasers stopped firing and Kyo stopped moving as well as he looked at the direction he had heard the clap before and saw Rin and Ino standing there, he smiled when they waved at him.

<Come on in, they've been disabled!>

Kyo shouted to them to come in as the lasers had carried out their purpose of testing his speed for the day.

Rin and Ino came in and Ino threw a towel at Kyo who used the towel to clean up his sweaty face.

"So how are you feeling now?"

Ino asked with a look of concern on her face.

<I'm fine now, just had to come terms with what Chairman Shidou said before>

"Yeah that's just it, has any new about her come up yet?"

Ino asked again looking at him concerned for his wellbeing.

<No, nothing yet, but he said they'll look into it, he'd ask the Chairman of United States Hunter Association and Canadian Chairman, if they'd felt any irregular qi that entered their hemisphere in last two days>

Kyo said with a look of determination as he got up and told the other two that if they needed him he'd be in his room.

"You sure he's gonna be okay?"

Ino asked Rin with a look of concern on his face.

'Yeah, he'll be fine, he's tough I know he is.'

They both watched him as he walked out of the room.

He went into his own room and got into the bathroom to freshen up before he went to sleep.

He was in the bathroom when he heard Azazel's voice.

(I know where she is)

Kyo opened his eyes in shock and surprise.

<And you didn't tell me?, This would have saved us the time and effort being used at moment, we been able to intercept them in United States by now>

Kyo spoke angrily to Azazel in their telepathic connection.

(I've heard that before, anyway she's in Florida)

<How can you tell?>

(My clairvoyance reaches the ends of the earth even in my sealed state)

<And you couldn't get the info through to me?>

(Just forget it, I've told you what I want to tell you, it's up to you if you use it or not)

Azazel ended their connection and then Kyo with the speed of Hermes ran out of the bathroom and got dressed and then ran towards Chairman Shidou's office, he barged in when the Chairman was on an important phone call.

<Sir!!!, I know where->

Chairman Shidou stopped him short by pointing at his phone indicating that he was still on a call, leaving Kyo breathing heavily.

"Alright, I'll call you back, just let me know if you hear anything"

Chairman Shidou ended the call and looked at Kyo questioningly.

"So?"

<I know where she is, she's in Florida the United States>

"How sure are you?, Is it from a reliable source?"

<Very reliable>

"If you believe that then I'll make arrangements for Tekashi and Liu Xhang's team to accompany you to Florida"

<Thank you sir>

WILL KYO MEET LISA ONCE AGAIN?
