Royal Academy Of Haema

My face was slightly pale as I read the book.

"After the Ambrosia War, humans were bread as livestock. The champion of Haema brought peace to the vampire lands." I now understood why the vampires hate humans.

1287 years ago, the human nations banded together to kill the vampires. This happened when it was discovered a vampire noble was capturing large numbers of humans to distribute.

The end result was a number of humans were sacrificed for peace. As such, a separate people was made to only satiate the vampires hunger.

*Gulp* I was nervous about going to the academy. I was right to be worried when coming here it seems.

I also learned some history about Vampires as a whole.

Vampires come from the legendary Bloodsucker. Legends say the goddess of blood and carnage, Haema, stumbled upon a bloodsucker while wandering through a dark forest. Out of pity she gave the beast clarity and intelligence. Giving birth to the Vampires.

I stumbled up and wandered to my wardrobe.

I opened it and picked out my uniform.

A midnight purple shirt with golden linings. A black belt with midnight purple pants. A finish with black dress shoes, and a black robe to complete the look.

I walked into a dining room. I wasn't allowed to sit as I was only a servant so I looked for Darius.

"Boy, come here." After searching around for about 5 minutes I found Darius.

"Follow me. It's time to leave." I steeped my resolve and nodded.

"Yes, sir Darius." I was ready. My path to power begins today!

We walked outside were all the young vampires of the clan were. I wouldn't be getting any special treatment here. Apparently, two beginners spells would be supplied to the students for the entrance exam.

Darius left me and walked to a point were no one was standing.

"Attention!" He yelled out into the crowd. It only took a few seconds for everyone to quiet down and give their full attention to Darius.

"You are the future of clan Blackrain! As you venture into the Academy think of your Clan! Bring honour to your Clan and do right by your Clan! Go out and bring wealth and power to us!"

The crowd of young vampires lit up in cheers of excitement.

Soon everyone went back to cheerfully chatting while walking towards the royal Academy.

Today all the roads were closed to let the thousands of possible students get to the academy.

'Hah, so many people' walking through the streets were me and thousands of other kids.

Some roads were left open for carriages to make it to the academy. Along with some other roads for business.

'There it is!' Soon enough i laid my eyes on the royal academy. A beautiful white stone was the material. Giant dorms could be seen around the castle walls. A massive wooden and stone castle gate was towering over the students.

'Looks like I'm going to be here for a while.' I was in one of 12 lines. I was about a hundred kids back.

In about an hour I was up.

A young women with a uniform on was stationed staring at me. She had a "4" badge on her uniform.

'A fourth year' I thought.

"Hello, I need you name, clan if you have one and element!" The women had a tired smile on her face. It was clear she's been here for a while.

"Krazis, Clan Blackrain and I have an element of Frost, Shadow, Mind and Death." The women looked at me like I was crazy. Soon enough though she had a look of confusion on her face.

"A human? And a death element at that. Yeah no, sorry not going to fool me."

At the girls words I got annoyed. I'd been walking all day and getting of stares. No red eyes and fangs clearly makes it known I'm a human.

"I assure you it's true. Don't believe me? Give me a spell for death and I'll use it in the trial." I doubled down on my statement. The girl only got a condescending smile on her face at my words.

"All right Human. Here, I'll give you a frost and death spell." The girl handed me a ancient tome that had purple wisps coming off it. The vampires surrounding me looked on in awe. Then, a blue, clean book with an ice pattern was given to me. It looked new and clean unlike the death tome.

"Head to the courtyard and practice with your death element." The girl had a smirk on her face. "Oh and by the way, if you lie about your elements, you could face jail time." But before she could bask in her "victory" I had walked past her into the castle gates.

'It's time to use some magic!'
