Noble Emblem

A young Brave walked out of his village, gathered companions to his side, defeated the Great Demon King, became famous, then came back with beauties in hand! This was a legend that appears in the world of Seyrol every 200 years! Our protagonist, however, isn’t a Brave. Even so, for over a thousand years his figure has loomed throughout its history. Unwittingly, the name of the Red Priest began to resound throughout the world. Red Priest’s legend included extraordinary sword techniques and magic, erudite knowledge, and an almost prophetic ability to lead young Braves toward the proper path. People of the world think of him as a descendent of the ancient Golden Race which led to his omnipotence. In essence, however, this was just the characteristics of the profession known as ‘Noble’. A word from the fabulousest translator/editor on Earth which is me I took upon this translation/editing project for the same reason I started translating my first Chinese novel. There are just too many big ass gems buried in a deep cesspool. I've long guessed that Qidian stopped introducing good Chinese novels on this platform in order to give some breathing room for English (and other) originals, but I don't agree with such approach. From a reader's standpoint, it is such a shame that we don't even know how many brilliant works we are missing because of the language barrier. To be honest, I'm mainly copypasting from the site called Novelhi. It is a really good resource and their machine translation is the best I've seen so far, and they also translate up to the latest available chapter. Still, they have several issues. For some reason they always miss the last paragraph which make you can missout on a potentially very important information related to a story, and they also have parts where just a couple of words gets repeated for a whole paragraph and it actually replaces the original text. They also translate an ad together with a chapter which is immersion breaking. I'll be correcting the inherent sins of such MTL with manual editing and translation and I will also polish some rough edges so that the readers will have as much seemless reading experience as possible. You will definitely have a better time reading this than me for sure

How can I do that

Shirley was overjoyed, but Amanda's face was filled with shock and helplessness.

She did not know who that young girl was, nor did she know how strong that beautiful young girl was. But she knew one thing: no one in Harvey dared to offend her.

Ten days ago, her father's men had pretended to be bandits and brought her back to the Merchant Union. She'd seen the seemingly pure, beautiful, but extremely arrogant girl sitting at the side.

The entire Merchant Union was under her control. Her father had to do whatever she said. Of course, Amanda had tried to resist, but her body trembled uncontrollably when the girl glared at her. She almost lost control of her body. This quickly attracted the attention of other factions in Harvey. Many bandits and assassins were sent over, but if anyone dared to show any killing intent, they would be immediately burned to ashes. With a wave of their hands, even the ashes would fly away. Nothing would be left.

After a few times, no other faction dared to send people to die. Amanda had been worried about Beta ever since she learned from her father that the girl wanted to see Beta. She hoped that Beta would save her, but she was also afraid that Beta wouldn't be the girl's match.

Beta looked at Amanda's extremely ashamed face. "Continue to transport the stones to the wetland. You're the one who caused this. Deduct some gold coins from the profits of the caravan as compensation."

Seeing that Beta didn't blame her, Amanda sighed in relief. "Thank you for coming to save me, sir."

Beta shook his head. "I was the one who got involved in the first place. You and your daughter, on the other hand, must've been scared out of your wits … Let's not talk about that. I sent a student to the wetland too. He's a nice guy, but he's not mature enough. Teach him when you have time."

Amanda asked, "What's his name?"

"Harris."

After telling Amanda some things, Beta used a magic formation to teleport to a mountain outside the city. As soon as he appeared, Emma and Alice, who had been waiting there for a long time, approached him.

"Is it done?" Emma tugged at Beta's sleeve and asked, "What exactly happened?"

Alice was also at the side, asking with her eyes.

Beta briefly explained the situation. Of course, he concealed the fact that Margaret was a demigod-level powerhouse and only mentioned that she was a Legendary-level giant dragon.

Even so, both Emma and Alice's eyes widened in fear. Emma patted her flat chest and panted, "Thank goodness she's not an enemy, thank goodness!"

Alice was also speechless.

Alice's father, Grinton, was a Legendary spear wielder who could withstand a Lesser Divine Power God's Descent. Legendary dragons, on the other hand, could withstand a Main God-level God's Descent or clone. For example, powerful gods such as the Goddess of Light and the God of Death were generally no match for the Legendary Dragons.

Of course, this was only in theory. Margaret was indeed very powerful, but that didn't mean that she was truly invincible. At most, she was invincible in one-on-one battles. If it were in the game, about twenty Legendary players would be able to push her down. The cooperation of multiple professions could often unleash terrifying combat power. When it came to cooperation of multiple professions, players were the best at it.

And the gods, because of their faith, had a large number of believers. If Margaret and the Temple of Light really became enemies, then Margaret would be hunted down endlessly by the believers of light.

Margaret was indeed very powerful as a demigod. She was also the queen of the Red Dragons and could lead a race to resist. But the biggest weakness of the Red Dragons was that they were too few in number. If the Temple of Light went crazy and sent out a large number of powerhouses to fight the Red Dragons, then after a fierce battle, both the Temple of Light and the Red Dragons would be greatly weakened. But the problem was … humans were very fertile. After a decade or so, another batch of combat power would be born. And the Red Dragons … just incubating an egg would take more than fifty years.

This way, the Temple of Light would quickly recover, and the Red Dragons would most likely be wiped out.

Humans' individual strength was in the lower middle of all the races, but their terrifying advantage in numbers could make all the other races feel numb. The only race that could reproduce better than humans were the flame imps. But this race's overall quality was too poor, and their growth potential was not high. Similarly, an Elite-level human professional could take down at least ten elite flame imps.

So in this world, humans occupied the most land and resources. Humans were the truly strongest race.

Unfortunately, the internal strife of humans was too fierce, which gave other races a chance to survive. Otherwise, once human beings were truly united, any other race would either perish or become vassals.

Putting the two of them into the space of Mystra's Mansion, Beta activated the spell and teleported to the outskirts of Perth.

Although a lot had happened recently, now he could continue the quest of killing the True Ancestor of vampires again.

It was still winter in Hollevin, but here in Perth, it was frighteningly hot. The yellow sand under the sun emitted astonishing heat. Beta looked at the city gate in the distance, where people were coming and going. If they wanted to go in without alarming any forces, there were only two ways … to disguise themselves, or to sneak into the city at night.

However, vampires were nocturnal creatures, and they would have additional ability bonuses at night. In layman's terms, they would become stronger at night, and during the day, they would be greatly weakened by the sunlight and light.

The True Ancestor of vampires was a creature close to a Demigod. Beta didn't want to fight such a terrible creature at night, so he had to find a way to kill the monster during the day. If it was delayed until night, Beta and his team would be in grave danger.

"Do we have to go into the city now?" Shirley asked. "Can't we go in at night and fight the vampire after dawn the next day?"

Beta shook his head and said, "That's a lot of uncertainty. First of all, we asked Rats to investigate the strange incidents in the city, which will definitely be known by other forces. It's well known that Rats can't be trusted for more than seven days. It's likely that the True Ancestor of vampires knows what we're investigating. They might not know that we're investigating them, but they'll certainly be prepared. "

"If we wait until night, it's possible that we'll be discovered in one night. Rats isn't a strong organization, but they have a lot of spies. I can't guarantee that we won't be recognized. That's why I'm planning to sneak into the back of the city in disguise and head straight for the Village. Assassination is all about catching the enemy off guard. That's why we left Perth a while ago. We wanted to numb the enemy. "

Shirley was smart, but she wasn't good at fighting. She nodded to show that she understood. "Then how should we disguise ourselves? We can hide in Mystra's Mansion, but you can't. Also, you're too conspicuous. You don't look like a local of Sunland no matter how you disguise yourself. "

Beta looked around for a moment and then saw the black spots on the sand dunes far away. He smiled. "Hehe, the people who can bring us into the city are here."

The black spots were at least two kilometers away from Beta. Shirley could only see shadows, but Beta could see them with the Cloud Dragon Blue Eyes.

Towald was the owner of a caravan. He rode at the front of the caravan on a camel and looked back at the long line behind him with a smile on his face.

I did it! I did it!

Towald's heart was filled with these words of ecstasy. He had successfully brought more than seven hundred slaves back to Perth. There had never been a caravan that brought so many slaves back to Perth at once.

The climate of the desert was ever-changing. Only the people of the desert could barely adapt to it. The slaves born abroad would die in large numbers two days before they entered the desert. Every death of a slave meant a loss of wealth.

For that reason, Towald hired several herbalists at a high price to look after the slaves who could bring him wealth but were extremely fragile. To prevent the slaves from dying from the sun, he even gave each of them a set of black robes, which cost him a lot of money.

In fact, it was very useful. More than a thousand slaves entered the desert. Although there were deaths, the number was not obvious. After seven days, only two hundred were killed. In the past, it would've been a miracle if there were two hundred slaves left.

Looking at the indistinct Perth City in the distance, Towald narrowed his eyes and started to calculate how much gold he could earn from transporting these slaves into the city.

He couldn't wait to fly into Perth and exchange these slaves for gold coins.

But in the next second, he was surprised. He saw a strange person standing at the slope in front of the sand dune.

The person was also wearing a black cloak, but he wasn't wearing a hood … His bright golden hair shone under the scorching sun, and his fair face was full of heroic spirit.

A mage! A noble!

Towald suddenly raised his hand and stopped the caravan. He looked at the young man in front of him and got off the camel. He placed his right hand in front of his chest and bowed. "Your Excellency, may I ask why you are blocking our way?"

Although the desert was huge and there were roads everywhere, the other party's attitude made it clear that he was blocking the caravan. There was no point in taking a detour.

Beta looked at him and said slowly, "I want to enter the city."

Towald took a step back. "Sir, you are a mage. If you want to enter the city, no one will dare to stop you."

"But I don't want anyone to see me enter the city."

Towald took another step back. "Sir, do you have a grudge against someone in Perth?"

"You can say that." Beta nodded slightly.

Towald was sweating profusely, but he didn't know if it was because of the heat or because he was scared. "Then I don't dare to bring you into the city. I still want to live in Perth. "

Several black-clothed warriors with scimitars rushed up and protected Towald.

With the protection, Towald felt more confident. "Please step aside. I can pretend that I have never seen you."

Beta smiled: "How can I do that, finally there is a way to get into the city, how can I just get out of the way."
