The wound

Erika brought Sam to Beijing Tiantan Hospital and took him to register. As Sam's right hand was injured so he couldn't fill out the form, Erika quietly took it from him and filled out his information, and helped him to register.

The doctor checked Sam's wound, bandaged it, and told him not to touch the water and come back for dressing after two days.

Suddenly Sam noticed a group of doctors in white coats hurried into the elevator. Sam looked carefully to see if Ava was there but he couldn't see her petite figure in the crowd.

Last night because of Ava's video, Sam found out that Ava's boyfriend was Oliver Knight. Now he understood why Ava rejected him so firmly. Sam knew Oliver very well, except for his identity of being the CEO of Knight International, Oliver was an idol to many students at Beijing No. 4 High School, an excellent student, sports god. In front of him Sam was nothing, so why would Ava choose him over Oliver Knight?

Sam wanted to send Ava a message to ask her about her calf injury, but when he thought she already had a boyfriend, Sam didn't text her, he knew she didn't need his attention.

"What are you looking at?" Erika saw Sam was distracted and looking at the bunch of doctor's so asked confused.

Sam got back to his senses, he looked at the wound in his hand and said with a gentle smile, "it's nothing."

"Thank you for bringing me to the hospital. I have to attend a meeting at school so I will leave now." Sam and Erika were standing at the door of the hospital. Sam had a bright smile on his handsome face.

"Wait, can I add your WeChat? I would like to invite you to dinner to thank you for helping me today to get my purse back." Erika said looking at Sam eagerly.

Sam wanted to refuse, but he already saw how stubborn Erika was so he knew she might not leave if he didn't add her WeChat. She was not like any other typical girl. After hesitating for a while Sam finally agreed and scanned Erika's WeChat QR code to add her.

When Erika saw Sam's WeChat was successfully added to her list, she smiled brightly and said, "It's a deal. I'll let you know when and where. You can't turn me down for dinner."

Sam nodded and said politely, "OK."

Sam waited until Erika drove away, then he turned and walked towards the inpatient department of the hospital.

Department of Cardiology.

Ava just arrived at the hospital. Although Oliver didn't want her to come to the hospital today but she was bored at home and also was worried because of yesterday's incident. She knew if she didn't show up for work today people will spread more rumors.

Sam pushed open the door of the doctor's office and saw Ava was on a chair reading a file in front of her. The office was full of doctors and nurses so he quietly came to Ava's desk and said gently, "Doctor Green!"

Ava was still reading the file when she heard someone called her she thought it was one of her patient's family. She raised her head and saw Sam standing there and looking at her she froze for a moment.

"Yes." Ava realized it was because of the people around them Sam addressed her by Dr. Green but she still felt strange when he called her that.

"Do you have some time?" Sam asked.

"Yes, come with me." Ava stood up and got out of her office.

In the hallway of the hospital.

Ava put her hands in her coat pocket, she felt a bit uncomfortable seeing Sam at the hospital after all this was the first time they met after he confessed to her. Ava noticed Sam's right hand was wrapped in gauze, which seemed to be a fresh wound.

"What happened to your hand?" Ava asked worriedly.

Although she didn't love him but she did care about him. They had so many good memories of childhood together, after all in Ava's most innocent age Sam was her only best friend. However, seeing him after many years at first she felt like he was a stranger. It's only recently she found him familiar like the old times.

"It's nothing." Sam hid his right hand behind him. He didn't want Ava to worry about his injury, it's just a little cut anyway. In fact, he came here because he was worried about Ava and wanted to see for himself that she was alright.

"How did you get it?" Ava understood Sam, his character was similar to her. Both of them were good at forbearance and wouldn't easily let others see their sufferings.

"I helped a woman to get her purse back from a thief this morning and during the fight accidentally got a small cut," Sam said in a low voice and scratched his hair to hide his embarrassment.

"Sam, helping others is good but getting hurt in the process is not. You should be more careful about your own safety. What if the thief stabbed you severely somewhere else?" Ava's eyebrows knitted together as she took out her hand from her pocket and took Sam's hand to check his wound.

Seeing Ava checking his wound so carefully, Sam felt warm in his heart. "I'm fine. Are you all right? I saw your video yesterday... " Sam stopped abruptly and looked at Ava.

The moment they looked at each other, Ava already knew that Sam found out about Oliver, she was very embarrassed and uncomfortable but still said quietly, "I'm fine."

"Ava, last time you said there is someone in your heart, is that him?" Sam asked almost holding his breath but there seems to be hostility in his deep brown eyes.

Last night the netizens dug up every information they could find about Ava so naturally, Oliver and Ava's relationship came forward. Now the whole world knew that Ava was Oliver's girlfriend. Although the posts were deleted later on but many people have already seen it, sooner or later the people who didn't know will eventually find out. Ava didn't mind though, her parents already knew about them so it didn't matter to her if the rest of the world knows it too.
