Chapter 7: the Road Ahead

"Hol-Le Shit!" Lazy yelled out.

"That was fucking wild!! I can't believe that actually worked!"

Everyone was laughing over the realization that this gamble they made actually worked out.

"Did you see that!! I blew off its arms!!" Nitro bleated with a devilish laugher.

"That was awesome" Grimm said. Still not sure how it all worked out.

Power gave out a good bellowing laugh.

"That was awesome! Although, I totaled my truck. Looks like we are walking boys"

"I would suggest to use my car but I think it's too small" Power said

"Ya, and mine was in the shop" Nitro added.

"Hey don't look at me" lazy said "I live in Denver. I just moved my character here. Grimm?"

"Can't. Mine is even smaller then Powers."

"Great. My truck is totaled and we are stuck walking."

"Why don't we just steal another car?" Nitro asked.

"Ya Nitro. The key is just going to be in the sun visor" Power said with a sarcastic tone.

The entire party had a dumbfounded face hearing that. Swifts truck had a full tank of gas. Why couldn't the key be in a sun visor?

Swift walked up to a neighbors truck, with the rest of the group in tow. He brushed off the vines bashed the window with the hilt of a sword and pulled the sun visor down. Nothing fell out.

"Great there goes that plan and I even broke my neighbors window. Have to walk unless you guys have another idea?"

Everyone started to think without coming up with any ideas.

Lazy was the first to pip up. "Why don't we use our experience points? Can say what our Hp is and Mana level is and how we are spending our points? Could help draw attention away from ideas to make have inspiration."

Everyone agreed. Swift decided to go first

"Since I have 12 points I'm going to raise my Dex. 1 point is equal to 1 stat. I'll raise my Luck by 7 and then spend the remaining 5 to upgrade my Clang skill into Boom"

Boom- the upgraded version of Clang. The chance to stun a target has increased and on a critical hit, based off of luck, will also deal damage.

NitroWarrior was next to say his.

"I'll just keep it simple and spend all my points in Dex. Just boost my damage to the max!"

"I guess since the three of us had twelve points and are a higher level then you two" Power gestured towards Lazy and Grimm "I'll go next. I'm just going to spend nine on the Mind stat and then the remaining three to get another job. I'll pick the farmer. That's two out of five slots for jobs. Figured if I can cook I should grow food. Will come in handy"

"Well my class requires five points to learn a new skill, at random, and ten for a skill I can pick. I'll just go random. Two skills are better then one" Grimm stated.

In his tab two columns were spinning like a slot machine.

Personal Hex- able to cast a hex on yourself or a friend. You choose what stat is increased by your level but at random 2 stats are reduced by the same amount. (If you increase a targets stat by your level, two stats will be reduced my half your level rounded up.)

Example: You raise a targets Strength by 5, their luck and Mind stat will be reduced by 3.

Light of Luck- able to increase a targets Luck stat by your level.

"Guess I'm last. Since I'm the only one without a job I'll take the cartography job. We definitely need a map. So that's three of my points. Then I guess I'll spend three on my Int stat and then two on my Mind stat and then the last two on blueprints."

After the columns spin two blueprints show up.

Poison Mine- requires 10 metal and a Minor Poison Potion. Deal damage in a 20ft raid use.based off of your Intelligence stat

Mounted Gun- Requires 600 metal and an ammunition table nearby. Able to build a mam controlled turret on a vehicle. Damage is based off of your intelligence stat and the controllers Dex stat.

Lazy closed his screen with a smile looking at the party.

"I have an idea! Why don't we find a school bus and customize it?!"

Everyone had a smile on their face with this idea.
