Seers & Avivers

As I walked through the hall people kept staring at me, 'Is there something on my face?' I thought to myself.

'I bet they are staring at us because of how awesome we look.' Aria smirked slyly.

'I wanted to stay low profile.' Sighing inwardly. Aria just shook her head and went back to observing our surroundings.

After we arrived at our next class which was "Mana Manipulation" which I was excited for since I always wanted to know more about manipulating; I mean I already know a lot about manipulating mana around me but I feel like there is much more than just absorbing, concealing, and extracting mana.

Pushing open the door, I could see that already a handful of students had arrived. As I stepped in all their heads turned towards me.

Whispered began to fill the room, what is this? I said to myself in disbelief.

'What Luke said about you was actually really accurate, you look really handsome.' Aria said, chuckling.

'Am I supposed to be happy about this?' I walked towards an empty seat at the very top next to a window so I don't feel so clustered.

"Alright class! We will be learning about the basics of Mana manipulation for this semester, next semester we will move onto advanced mana manipulation. I wanted to tell you all that there is a lot to mana manipulation, not just to help your core, but also your combat skills. I just wanted to tell you this ahead of class before we do anything." He said, taking his notes out of a long coat pocket.

"First is attendance!" He continued to call out names of everyone in class and slowly everyone began to settle down.

"Now moving on, we will first learn the basics of basics in mana manipulation that everyone learns when they first awaken, absorbing your mana and using it to purify your core." He draws two diagrams of a human's body and draws a circle just under the stomach on both of them. One of the diagrams has arrows pointing outwards while the other one has arrows pointing inwards. Labeling the arrows pointing outwards as seers and the one pointing inwards are avivers.

"Class, can you tell me how seers can cast spells and how avivers can absorb mana?" He asked, looking around the room.

Raising my hand, I explained that seers use their mana inside of their mana core to cast spells and avivers absorb their mana from their surroundings.

"Great job, now can you all tell me who is stronger in a situation where a seer is battling an aviver?" He asked once again.

People began to talk amongst themselves, debating on who would come out stronger, some people shouted seers while others said avivers. I just sat there, pondering on who would have an upper hand.

'Seers can cast magic better, Avivers can battle in hand-to-hand combat better, but does that mean the other opponents could… Yes! I got it!' After questioning it, I found an answer that was sure to be good enough.

"They are both good at different aspects of combat, but, that doesn't mean they aren't good at other things too. A seer can be talented at both magic casting while and Aviver can also be good at it too, this also goes for the seers too. With enough training you can be mastered at both aspects and even more." I answered, earning more whispers around the room, some nodded while others pondered.

"Correct, but, you can never be a master of something, you can be talented and good at it of course, but there would be no such thing as being mastered at a specific thing. No one is perfect, not even the strongest person in the world! They all have flaws, even if you practice for thousands of years you would still have flaws! What I'm trying to say here is that no one will be perfect, there will be people better than you, either if they are seers or avivers, DO NOT underestimate your opponents." Expressing his don'ts and Do's outwardly.

"Alright class, this will be it for today, I'll let you all out early for lunch." He smirked, watching as each of us walked out of the classroom, cheering.
