We walked through a pathway in the school as the moonlight shone on us. The pathway wasn't known by many since it was quite hidden between the vines.
"The night air is quite fresh today." I tried to start a conversation.
Kayla nodded her head, "It's quite different from Esmond."
"How's the first day of school so far?" I asked her.
"I don't think it was as interesting as yours, you've already done a lot of things in one day." She giggled.
"I tried to stay low." I sighed.
"Anything from the ASC? Or Azner?" She asked, looking at me as we walked towards the garden.
"There was something from Kathryn." I said, replying.
"Oh, and that is?"
"She planned on us holding an event, which I think she already informed you guys about." I said, looking at her.
"Ah, that, yes she has but she hasn't given us other details." She said looking confused.
"I will meet her at her office tomorrow so we can talk more about it, I'll tell you if there's anything important." I informed her.
"Alright, by the way- do you ever plan on showing your face?" She hummed as we walked close to the dorms.
"Yes, I've thought about that but I need to confirm something with Kathryn before I do anything." I said.
"Is it something important that you can't tell me?" She turned around, looking at me.
"I wouldn't say it's so important, but yes, it's something I have to clear out." I nodded.
"You know, you have a lot of things in your head, I've known you too well to say that you are not hiding something from me." She stared into my eyes, trying to find the missing piece for her puzzle.
I couldn't help but get uncomfortable from that look in her eyes, it was as if she was looking into my soul, those eyes of hers… I shook off my thoughts, trying not to distract myself.
"You do know me well, I guess I have a lot of stuff that's still built up inside me." I laughed awkwardly, trying to pry away from her eyes that seemed to be glued onto me.
"You are always hiding something from me, I can just sense it." She sighed, shaking her head.
"Ah, we're at our dorms now, I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" I looked at her.
"Yep, see you tomorrow." She kissed me quickly and rushed off to her room.
"Oh, huh… Wait- What?!" I exclaimed but before I could do anything she was gone from my sight.
'Ooo la la papa, finally~" She giggled.
"Shut it." I said sternly.
'I'm still disappointed though, you didn't kiss mama, it was her who kissed you.' She shook her head as she sighed.
'You don't have to rub it in.'
We quickly headed back to our respective rooms too and slept.
----
Today I woke up early for some unexplained reason, I couldn't fall back to sleep so the only choice for me was to get up early.
I decided to head to Kathryn's office first since that was my main goal for today. Quickly cleaning myself up and dressing up, I took the file and tucked it in my pocket, heading out of the dorm.
Today was more chilly than yesterday, the winds were more strong, I wondered why since yesterday was so sunny, today was just cloudy.
"Kyu! (It's so cold!)" She quickly rushed inside my jacket to warm herself up.
"Is it warm there." I said, looking at her who snuggled closely to me.
'Yes, you're like a furnace.' She giggled.
"I see." Wanting to head inside as quickly as possible, I sprinted to Kathryn's building which was all the way at the ASC building which was on the other side of the campus.
Finally reaching the entrance, I stepped inside, even though there was no heater (which hasn't even been invented yet), the building was still warmer than being outside. I walked up the stairs and reached Kathryn's office.
*Knock* *Knock*
"Come in." A gentle voice came from behind the doors.
Opening the door, I saw both Kayla and Kathryn there, Kathryn sat at her desk while Kayla stood next to her, it looked like they were in the middle of a discussion. What happened last night still hasn't gotten over me, but I controlled my mind and body so I don't embarrass myself.
"Ah, sorry for interrupting." I said, slowly closing the door.
"No, no, please come in." I heard Kathryn say as I opened the door back up. I saw Kayla turning the other way to hide her face but I can clearly see that her face was red.
"So what is it for you to come here so early?" Kathryn asked.
"Oh I just seemed to have woken up early and so I wanted to use this time to discuss the event you talked about in the paper you sent me." I handed her the file that I received yesterday.
"Ah, yes this, so you wanted to plan things out right now?" Kathryn asked.
"Um-"
"I'm going to leave first." Kayla said as she turned around.
"Please stay, the student council president should know this too." Kathryn said with a smug smile like a teenage girl backstabbing her friend.
"A- alright." Kayla stuttered, still not looking at me.
"You two, please sit."Kathryn gestured to the two seat in front of her.
"Oh, okay." I sat down in one of the seats as Kayla sat on the other one, the seats were so close that our shoulders could have touched if I just moved one more centimeter.
"So, what are you thinking about for this event, August?" She looked at me.
"You already know that I was planning something?" I asked her.
"Well of course." Kathryn chuckled lightly.
"I see… Well I wanted to retreat on the idea of hiding my identity for starters." I leaned in.
"So this is what happens, never thought you would think of this so quickly." Kathryn laughed as Kayla just looked shocked.
"So for the event, why not turn it into a competition? Like some small dueling or sparring, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will get different rewards." I smiled widely.
"A competition? And prizes? But did you plan a budget for this?" Kayla asked.
"I'll pay for everything, I'll also bring people to come and drop some stuff off for us." I said simply.
"I don't mind if you can actually do it." Kathryn shrugged.
"Wait- what? Really? You're agreeing to this?" Kayla exclaimed.
"Of course, why not? If August says he can do it then he can." Kathryn smiled at me.
"Thank you for your trust." I grinned.
"Alright then, both of you can go now if we're finished here, the cafeteria is almost opening." Kathryn said.
"Thank you, I'll start preparing maybe today, I'll ask my guys to clear out some space in the yard." I grinned and walked out, Kayla following behind me.
