Discovery.

Sleeping peacefully on the bare earth's surface was Liam, he currently had a tranquil expression on his face appearing like a baby with no worries.

As the sun glared down at him, he turned the other way in an attempt to avoid any disturbance but failed miserably as a loud voice echoed in his ear.

"Ahh!" He yelled as the voice jolted him from the tranquil sleep that presided over his body.

"W-what… what was that?!" He said out loud, surveying the surroundings for any other entity, except him.

Feeling a sharp pain in his head, the memories of all that transpired rushed into his memory faculty, causing him to scream in pain.

Though it didn't last as he composed himself, recalling the annoying incident with that Wolf-like creature.

"Fuck!" Exclaiming, he cross-checked his body for any fatal injuries, also confirming if he was still alive.

It was strange after all. The creature who to him seemed hungry, not eating up when it got a chance.

'I'm going to get back at you… though I'll have to leave this damned forest.'

As Liam thought, he checked the space ring for new wear, taking off his torn clothing and every other possession of his that looked damaged.

While arranging his things, he coincidentally caught sight of the damaged short sword.

If before he made use of the sword it was considered mediocre, then one can only imagine the severity of the sword's current appeal.

Shaking his head, he walked to the sword, immediately placing it inside the space ring. 'Nothing is useless.'

Scanning through the ring, he took out the map, looking through it for clarification.

'Ohh! There is some settlement along my path,' forming a thoughtful expression, he looked at the map. 'Would that be a good idea… won't want any interactions with strangers.'

Pausing for a moment, Liam went through all his possible routes.

The map had given him three possible routes to use, but of all of them, the settlement seemed to be the safest and also the easiest route to use.

The settlement described in the map was like a border between the forest and a huge city which was just a few kilometers from the settlements. While the other routes were similar to roundabouts, increasing both the journey length and stress involved.

'No! I can't go to the settlement… what will I tell them… where am I from!"

Looking at all three possible routes, he decided that the path to the west was the best choice since he felt that interacting with living creatures might affect his goals.

If he were an adult, he surely would have gone for the settlement, but as a minor with no strength, he decided to follow the less inhabitant path.

Setting off, he searched for small monsters to grill, after all, the forest was filled with woods, he just had to apply sense to not attract any unwanted visitors.

Liam, though still young back on Earth and in Kosmos, had no issues with eating flesh, so he never missed a chance when he became the predator, turning his journey into a fun-filled one.

Performing swings on tree tops to mimic the legendary Tarzan in movies. He also trained by chopping wood, increasing his arm strength.

Merlin claimed to have opened his body, soul, and essence, so he can use all of them freely, though he could only feel his body strength increasing… nothing else.

As he walked through the forest, he felt something strange… "..."

Turning swiftly to the direction it came from, he put up his guard.

It was a strange feeling for him. The feeling of something being in that region bugged Liam, compelling him to confirm whatever it was.

'It won't hurt to watch from a distance,' Liam thought, moving slowly towards a specific region.

The forest had a diversity of plant life forms that Liam could see, most being canopy trees.

He tiptoed through the forest, avoiding anything that could garner attention to him. It didn't take him long to arrive at a huge tree, hiding behind it for cover. 'Let's check it out.'

Peeping from the side, he looked in a direction, immediately sighting a deer as it drank from a stream. It was a marvelous sight for Liam as he watched the creature closely. Though it had the appearance of deer found on Earth, it had multicolored hair, giving it a mythical appearance.

"Wow!"

Not being able to hold back his amazement at the creature's appearance, he aired his thoughts out loud, causing it to flee in fright of the unknown.

Despite the creature fleeing from it, Liam still took the energy to run in the opposite direction, also scared of the unknown.

"Ha, ha, ha… thought it was chasing me!" Liam said in exasperation as he surveyed the region for traces of the supposed deer.

'How could I tell its position?' Liam thought, recalling how he got to this point.

It was a strange situation for Liam, being able to tell the deer's position from a distance.

"Guess I'll have to figure it out," he muttered, trying to connect with that feeling.

"Wow!" He exclaimed, moving in the opposite direction.

He could sense something similar to the first, though weaker. Grinning wildly, he ran through the forest unable to hide his excitement.

Arriving at the supposed location, he hid carefully behind a cluster of plants, slowly poking his head out to observe the situation.

Sleeping peacefully on the earth's surface was a cub, although it looked small and frail, Liam refrained from going anywhere near the cub. There was a chance that its Mom was not far from the current location and after the incident with that wolf, he had learned not to underestimate his opponents.

'So I can feel the presence of living beings from a distance,' Liam thought, intrigued by the current situation.

"Ohh!" Recalling something, he exclaimed out loud, quickly covering his mouth. 'What the hell?!'

Poking his head from the tree cover, he confirmed if the cub had heard him, breathing a sigh of relief as he saw the creature's relaxed pose.

'It all makes sense now… Merlin had said something about knowing people's location… hehe, I can't wait to test this ability.'
