~Chapter 4~

Cassius' PoV

Such a long time since I last talked to a child. Who would have thought that there's a child like him who's not shaken by my aura. A kid who's honest and smart.

"Now that your wounds are taken care of. Do you mind guiding me where your Mom is? I promised that I will save her, right". I told him with folded arms.

Kirael smiled brightly and guided me along with my guards, to go where his Mother is located. We walk into their pack's main house where their Alpha's office is also located. I never would have thought that below his office, there would be a large dungeon. Right before we enter the dungeon, the kid informed me that there is no available lights down there and that we would be needing a torch if we want to see what kind of place it is. He also gave us an option to use our wolves sight.

"But what about you?" I curiously asked him.

"I know this place like the back of my hand. I was here since the day I was born" he shrug after.

I heavily sighed, pitying the little boy who had lived his life in this hell of darkness. "Get the torch." Giving an order to my guard.

As we walk deeper in the dungeon, the smell of lavender fill the air. I follow where the calming scent is, and was lead into a woman who wears a cloak. Her hood covers half of her face and there were chains on her ankles. The marks on her ankles indictates that she has been chained for a long time.

"Mother! We're here to save you." My eyes widen that this child's mother was my mate.

The mate pull is faint. Its probably because she's in a weakened state. Kirael called his mother a few times but she's not moving at all. I tried to pull open the bar and got burned from wolfsbane covering it. It never crossed my mind that Jim would to this to a woman and child. He was a decent man on the outside. I will kill that fucking psycho once I met him. I ask one of my guards to shot the door open without delay. As quickly as possible I check my mate if she is still breathing and hurriedly carry her. Asking my guards to take care of Kirael and lingking my Gamma to instantly prepare the car to go back to our pack. We run as fast as we can to get out of the dungeon and was met by my Gamma. I asked his mate to come with us and gave him an order to kill all the remaining pack members of the Strong Winds.

I can't think of anything. My mind is being clouded by the thought that my mate could be dead in any second.

"Mother, why won't you open your eyes" Kirael cried out as I keep his mom close to me. "Sir. Your the Alpha King right?" His eyes glistening with tears.

"Indeed, I am the King of Wolves" My voice quavering.

"I beg you! Please save my Mom" The kid cried out. "She's all I ever have. I promised her that she will see the sunlight again. My mother looks pale Sir, just take her to the hospital, I'll give her my blood. All of it". Gently holding his Mother's hand.

"Earlier, I told you that I will save you and your Mom right? Trust me buddy. I'll do anything to get the two of you into safety." Clasping their hands.

An hour passed and we have arrived in my pack. Several people greeted us.

"King, if you don't mind. Please put the patient in the stretcher." Alvin instructed me. He's one of the doctors in my pack.

"I asked for your wife to care of this patient. So why are here?" I said, raising an eyebrow. He heavily sigh in front of me and it only made me more furious.

"WHERE IS LEONOR?!" I yelled at him. Before I could do anything to him, his wife showed up.

"Cassius! Didn't I tell you, not to bully my husband?" Leonor express her despondency.

"But I already asked of you. Am I wrong in this matter?"

"You aren't, because you're the Alpha King." She said affront. "Now, lay her down so I can examine her." She trailed off.

I do know that no matter what, they obey my orders since I am the Alpha King. Why does she need to make it an insult. Then one of her nurses approached us and told us to all go outside. I can't do anything but follow the hospital's protocol.

Several hours passed and there's no news what happened to my mate. Its ticking me off. I can't stay still while she's lying in there, unconscious. Her son is now fast asleep at my Gamma's lap.

"Ughhhhhh...help! Can't feel my legs man." Carlo told me.

I glared at him and say, "Shut up and let the kid rest".

"Mind telling me why you're pacing around?" My Gamma strangely asked.

"Why do you always poke your nose on someone else's life Carlo?" I rebut with lack of interest. He just laugh it off.

"You're making it too obvious that she's the one." He proudly stated.

"What do you mean the one? I'm just worried because she might left her kid?" Denying what Carlo's thinks.

"Alpha you're being deffensive." Carlo's mate said. She walk pass me and kiss Carlo on the cheek.

"I thought you weren't coming back hon." My Gamma said while faking a cry in front of his mate.

"Alpha I think it would be best for us to go home now. We'll bring the kid along. I'm sure our twins will be happy since we'll be bringing him to our home." Julia explained.

"Don't worry Cassius, we'll take care of him" Carlo pat my back and went home with Julia and Kirael.

Its been 8 hours since we left her in there. Why won't Leonor answer my link or send her nurse outside to let me know what happened. This is freaking unbelievable. She's ignoring her Alpha. I sat down and lean back on the chair. Letting my head rest for a moment.

The door burst open and I was confuse to what was happening.

"Where are you taking her?" I ask Leonor.

"Her heart stopped. We need to get her to the operating room immediately."

I followed them until I know that my mate safely arrived at the operating room. Hoping that she will get better. Pensive sadness quickly filled up my heart, praying to the Goddess that she will wake up soon enough.
