Chapter 85: Preliminary Battle (VI)

Tsunade finally raised herself from off the wall and walked calmly to the ring upon hearing that it was finally her turn to compete.

Her opponent made a similar move as she saw a boy with blonde spiky hair who wore a menacing smile on his face.

"Well, it seems I get to face the Princess of Konoha. This match should be quite fun." Noriki spoke while looking Tsunade in the eye.

Tsunade had gained a title of her own after her team had gone on so many missions in the past few years.

Known as the Princess of Konoha, many had placed high bounties on her head to prevent her from growing up and becoming a major threat.

However, even with all their attempts, Tsunade was able to be safely protected as in the Village she was guarded by both Senju and Uzumaki shinobi and Hiruzen gave her missions that had a minimal chance of her identity being discovered.

Tsunade simply stretched her arms and legs while waiting for the examiner to signal the beginning of the match.

"BEGIN!!"

Right after the examiner spoke, Noriki sent explosions from his feet and flew directly in front of Tsunade, after which he sent a palm right at Tsunade's face.

Tsunade simply moved her head and dodged the attack, though Noriki sent an explosion from the back of his palm, sending the attack at Tsunade again.

Tsunade caught the backhand and proceeded to flip Noriki toward the outside of the ring.

Noriki, seeing where he was heading, sent his explosive chakra to his feet right before he hit the floor, blasting him toward Tsunade at an even faster speed.

"Don't think you're getting rid of me that easy!!" Noriki spoke with a terrifying grin.

The battle seemed to continue like this for a few moments, with Tsunade dodging his attacks with ease before he came at her at even faster speeds.

Tsunade seemed to eventually grow tired of this though, as she finally sent a punch directly at Noriki.

Noriki attempted to guard himself with both of his arms, though the attack completely broke the bones in his right arm.

Noriki couldn't even register the full attack as Tsunade followed up the attack with another punch, sending his left arm into a similar state.

Noriki stood in the ring with both his arms hanging straight to the ground, while Tsunade stood with no damage visible on her.

All the Jonin in the stands could not help but equate her to a monster, as she was moving at speeds comparable to or even greater than theirs.

'I knew that I would probably lose the match, but I didn't expect her to be able to defeat me so easily. But, I still have one trick up my sleeve.' Noriki thought to himself while he began to grin once again.

He began to mobilize his chakra again and flowed it into the ground.

He then body flickered directly beside Tsunade and went for an overhead axe kick, though Tsunade blocked it with her arm.

The chakra he flowed into the ground then exploded, with it shaking her balance and making her take a step back.

Noriki didn't let the opportunity go past him as he attempted to attack right away as he then showed great chakra control and emitted an explosion from his mouth that blasted Tsunade straight in the face.

Tsunade simply inhaled sharply before a blast of wind overwhelmed the explosion and sent Noriki into the air.

She then threw a punch with so much force that a wind current was generated by it. The current then sent Noriki straight into the wall with devastating force.

The attack completely knocked Noriki out and left a crater in the wall with cracks all around it.

Everyone in the room raised Tsunade's threat level at that moment, with them all being appalled and stunned by the power she exhibited.

Even the most skilled Jonin in the room had to acknowledge that Tsunade was a terrifying opponent.

Blue B focused especially on Tsuande, as he realized she may be the biggest challenge to Kumo winning the Exams.

"The winner of the match is Tsunade Senju." the examiner spoke while sending multiple medical ninjas to check on Noriki.

Tsunade then walked off the stage, after which it was repaired and the matches continued.

The following matches weren't as exciting as the first few, with Sakumo defeating Inoka, Chihiro defeating Hiruko, Jiraiya defeating Akari, and Shikai defeating Kuzatchi Kamizuru.

This left only the final match of the day: Blue B vs Himichi Hyuga.
