Chapter 23

[A/N: I will wrap up the whole torture thing in this chapter only.]

*Huff* *Huff*

After hours of continuous torture or at least what felt like hours, I am left with broken ribs, broken hand and broken left knee, my core has taken significant damage as well.

'I need to stabilise it as soon as possible.'

This is the highest priority for me right now, otherwise if it breaks completely, it will never heal again and I will lose the main source of my power.

Doing the force control itself will heal me and in turn my core will also be healed.

But first I need to find a new way to move my chakra, meaning that I can't use the previous force control.

This new one will definitely be a much lower quality force control but as long as I can just heal up a bit, it will be fine.

'Since I can't move my chakra throughout my body because of the sealing, I need to circumvent the affected area and guide the chakra to everywhere else and back to the core.I am already perfectly familiar with a high level force control so creating a new one shouldn't be that tough but the problem is time.'

'I will escape on my third day here. By that time I should be able to gather enough power to escape but I also need a complete layout of this area before planning my escape as well.'

Without wasting anymore time, I started to focus on creating a new force control.

I allowed a very small amount of my chakra from the core to all parts of my body one by one.

First the left arm. From there it will flow backwards and then towards the brain. Since these parts aren't affected by the sealing, it will follow the original pattern.

Right now, I can't access the chakra pathways present at my abdomen. Which was originally the way to connect my left and right side of the body.

So, now the chakra will go through all of my limbs ignoring the stomach area and the right side chest.

*Huff* *Huff*

It took me about 30 minutes to create this force control but it was more mentally exhausting than I expected. Also, the healing factor of this force control is much much less than I expected.

It would take me 5 times longer to heal the injuries.

But this wasn't the time to worry about that at all.

I quickly started gathering chakra and stopped when I thought I had enough to use the technique.

'Trace on!'

I remember from the fate series when Emiya was training that he would use this method to improve the integrity of the materials so much so that even a normal paper could be strengthened enough for it to be use as a shield or a sword. More than enough to kill an opponent.

But, it can also be used to destroy or corrode a material by destroying it's internal structure.

This is what I will do with these chains I am bound with. Unlike projection, this will only consume a minuscule amount of chakra i.e. in my normal state. Right now it is still a little taxing.

But this isn't the only thing I have to do.

I will use this to map out this facility as well.

Slowly as my ability spread the tiny amount of chakra throughout the facility, information kept coming into my head.

There are 10 cells just like the one I am in but they are empty. The facility is 2 storeys underground and I am at the lowest level. There are 20-30 people in this place and there are no barriers or traps or any kind of special sealing placed here.

Also, there is no one outside of this underground prison meaning that this place is rather secluded and they didn't bring me to their camp for some reason but that works for me. I will never be able to survive if I was literally inside the enemy base.

I can't use my electrical abilities at all and I can only use the scan and project and my most basic abilities as a ninja to escape from here otherwise if I use them it will use too much of my chakra.

But I guess since it's underground, I can just burst through the ceiling and then make the whole facility cave in.

'No. that's a stupid plan.'

For now, I can only focus on my recovery.

<3rd POV>

"Bam"

The door to Shirou's cell opened and that bitch came back in.

"Oya Oya. you are still alive? Did you have good night's rest?" she said while walking closer to him. She grabbed Shirou's hair and lifted his head.

'It has already been a day since I was captured?' Shirou thought

"You have been holding on pretty well till now. I certainly didn't expected this from a kid but you sure are full of surprises huh?"

'How the hell did he recover so fast?! I remember breaking his left arm completely but it is already on the verge of healing. He doesn't have chakra since it has been sealed. Is it possible for anyone to recover from those injuries overnight without using any chakra at all.' She was able to tell that he had healed a lot of his injuries overnight by just a glance.

Of course Shirou wasn't able to heal hi broken bones completely but now they were to the level of being able to be used in battle if needed.

This wasn't a very smart move on his end but he wasn't left with much choice either.

'What a monster!! I need to kill him here and now. We have already lost the war now that the yellow flash has been sighted.'

She immediately took out a kunai and attacked Shirou with horizontal slash. Trying to decapitate his head.

However, sensing the sudden blood lust, Shirou immediately broke the chains bounding him using his physical strength and punched her stomach sending her flying back to the door.

"Haah Haah" Shirou was heavily panting.

Just now was the closest he had gotten to dying once again.

He stabilised his breathing, activated his chakra once again and allowed it to flow through his body.

This did not go undetected by the kunoichi in front of him as soon as she sensed his chakra, she was bewildered as to how the hell was this kid able to use chakra even when it had been sealed off completely.

But being a veteran shinobi who has had many encounters with death in her career, she put those thoughts aside as they weren't important right now. She had just one goal now and that is to kill this kid in front of her.

'This is bad! Couldn't she just let me be or just torture me even more? I would have escaped tonight anyway.' Shirou thought as he got into the stance to fight.

There was no one close to Shirou's cell aside from them but that can change anytime and as soon as that happens, all hopes for shirou escaping this place will be lost. Which is why he needs to quickly eliminate her.

Realising this predicament, Shirou dashed towards the kunoichi who was already in a stance to fight a close ranged battle.

'Using strong earth style ninjutsu will risk the entire underground place collapsing on itself whereas week earth style jutsus won't help at all in this fight.'

They both fought in close range with their kunais and exchanged several blows but the fight remained in stalemate. Both Shirou and the kunoichi in front of him have same physical abilities and both are skilled in close combat. However, as the fight continued, shirou started getting pushed back. Although they had same physical abilities there was one obvious difference between them and that was their reach.

Their is a huge height difference between the two and realising this advantage the kunoichi created just enough gap between them that his attacks won't reach her whereas she could attack him however she pleased.

Been driven to a corner, shirou had no choice but to resort to his electrical abilities.

He couldn't use them with his current force control so he had to rely on changing the chakra nature by making hand seals.

He projected a 3 kunais in each of his hands and threw them at his opponent to create some time, he immediately made hand signs to launch the justu "Shock" but was stopped due to his attacker's assault on him. He only managed to make a single hand sign that too just for infusing chakra.

Shirou infused chakra to his hand and just changed it's nature to lightning. This is incredibly weak but it is his only option.

He stepped to his right, dodging a vertical strike from the enemy's right hand and brought his left hand infused with lightning chakra closer to his enemy. But the kunoichi took a gamble and redirected her strike of kunai to a horizontal slash towards Shirou's abdomen.

Not taking a chance, Shirou redirected his strike as well and brought his left hand infused with chakra to grab her arm and then projecting a kunai at point blank range. He succeeded in grabbing her arm but not without getting stabbed.

In a hurry to activate the 'scan and project' technique, Shirou accidentally activated both of his techniques. And something unexpected happened.

At just the touching his opponent, Shirou's brain was inflicted with a tonne of information. The lightning nature acted as a medium to his scanning ability, allowing him to connect to the inside of a living body which should not be possible.

Just the second he touched her, she fell to the ground not showing the slightest intention of moving.

Although involuntarily, Shirou stimulated the neurons present inside her to become overexcited.

When that happens, the neurons in the entire body whether they are sensory or not fire incorrect signals too rapidly, resulting in proteins in target muscle cells becoming stressed, mis-folding and becoming non-functional. As a result, her entire body immediately became dysfunctional and fell to the ground.

Although she was still conscious, she couldn't feel or see anything as no information was getting passed to her brain since all of the sensory neurons fried and stopped sending any signals to her brain.

Shirou held his head in pain but quickly regained his composure and didn't waste this opportunity to quickly behead and kill his enemy.

He took several minutes to think about as to what had actually happened here, and realised that he had actually found the essence of the scan and projection technique. He already had a decent idea as to what transpired within the kunoichi's body and was overjoyed at both of those realisation.

Previously, the reason why he couldn't project the same quality things was because he lacked the understanding of the comprising material. But now he has gained a solution to that and that is to use his lightning nature chakra while scanning.

He was overjoyed because he had also gained an unexpected weapon to render an opponent completely useless.

Of course his new attack will not be able to render them useless for a good period of time. But it was still a huge weapon as this would work on anyone regardless of the difference in strength.

'It is a shame that I can't use this in long range. Like how I got the basic structure of this base with my scanning ability, only if I could spread my lightning throughout the base, I could do the same to literally everyone here. Wait!!...'

Shirou immediately sat down. The kunai sticking out of him making him wince in pain.

He immediately got into a meditative state with his palms almost touching him.

"What the hell!! Everyone!!! KILL HIM!!!" A few minutes after shirou fell into the meditative state, a group of ninjas came down to his cell since it had been quiet for too long. However what greeted them was a completely unexpected sight.

The kunoichi, one of the strongest people present inside of their camp was laying lifeless on the floor with her head severed from her body.

Three ninjas entered Shirou's cell and rushed at him with the intent to kill him. However just inches before reaching him, everyone of them fell on the floor.

This wasn't just limited to them, slowly everyone in the enemy camp fell to the same comatose state as the ones before him.

"Yess!!! It worked!!" Shirou exclaimed

'Although my lightning can't travel in air or through the earth, there is no such limitation to electric and magnetic fields. They are present even inside of a vacuum. It was a lot more tough to create a connection through electrical field, but it was still a success. I managed to put every single one of them in this state.'

After enjoying his victory for a few minutes, Shirou went back to work. He immediately beheaded the three ninjas. He took all of their stuff including a storage scroll and used it to seal the head and body of the kunoichi.

Shirou had no idea whether this person had a bounty on her or not but he took her body regardless.

He raided and killed every shinobi present there and made his way out of the camp. He also sealed away the dead bodies of 3 more ninjas who he thought were powerful judging from their chakra. He had successfully escaped the enemy camp.
