A few days have passed since Zeus's meeting with the Hokage, and he quietly awaited for the chunin test to commence. Hiruzen and Bikawo had prohibited him from going to the forest anymore, at the very least until he officially becomes a chunin. Zeus decided to go along with their decision this time and instead simply rested, channeling and improving his chakra control.
There was another technique that he had been working on lately, but it required an immense amount of chakra and spectacular control. He already managed to replicate it a few times, but there were a few shortcomings in this technique. Still, Zeus was set on perfecting it, especially considering that it was going to have tremendous firepower. In the previous battle against those three men, Zeus understood that he was lacking this aspect a lot.
He was fast and had many utility tricks up his sleeve, but there was nothing that could overpower the enemy by the sheer might in his arsenal.
Anyway, today was a day not any different from others, and Zeus stood in front of the window, overlooking the village. Hiruzen was helping Minato with some papers, while Bikawo was in the hospital, tending to the recently injured men. Asuma was god knows where - probably smoking somewhere in a secluded place. At such a pace, he was probably going to die of some illness by the time he turned eighteen.
"Maybe, I should get out of this village?" Zeus wondered, glancing at the huge gate and wilderness afterward. No matter how much he thought about this, living here in peace was definitely not the way he wanted to live his life. He desired struggle, battles, and glory. Even the seat of Hokage didn't seem that appealing to Zeus.
"Well, I am still six. Might as well just waste some more time till I get older." Zeus yawned, stretching out and turning around. He fell onto the bed, closing his eyes. However, just when Zeus felt the clutches of sleep greeting him, an overwhelming tremor resounded throughout the world.
Before Zeus could even rise from the bed, the entire house suddenly shattered, and he felt himself flying away, forced by an invisible attack. A few sharp protrusions of the wood collided with his body, creating shallow winds. Thankfully, Zeus managed to dodge most of them by activating the overlock. Eventually, everything settled and Zeus forced himself out of the rubble, staring around with bloodshot eyes in the search of the enemy.
However, Zeus's eyes widened in disbelief when he saw a huge orange fox towering over the village, wrecking chaos with its simple yet deadly swings. He frowned, seeing the fox destroying another building, its rubbles falling towards Zeus's from above. A few shinobi appeared at that moment, promptly creating a wall in front of Zeus to protect him.
"Follow me, kid! I will show you the path to the evacuation zone!" The shinobi at the front shouted, but Zeus didn't listen to a word coming from the man's mouth. Instead, Zeus kept staring at the huge fox, his eyes shining with a brilliant luster.
'This monster...is it the tailed beasts that I have read about?' Zeus mumbled, frowning as he kept looking at the ensuing chaos. The shinobi tried to grab Zeus by the hand, thinking that the kid was too shocked by the scene, yet Zeus stood firmly and unmoving. 'However...why does it reek of divinity?'
It was very subtle, deeply hidden in its violent aura, but it was there. A seed of divinity, much weaker than his own, but still noticeable. A huge smile formed on Zeus's face. These tailed beasts...were much more interesting than depicted in the books. Having divine energy meant that they had a chance at becoming a god.
"I have to check it out." Zeus smiled broadly, feeling the monster's thick aura curl around the village. It felt stiffening and cold, yet that only drew Zeus to go there faster. Awakening Overlock at 20%, Zeus disappeared from the spot, startling the shinobi who kept on pestering to evacuate him.
Zeus rushed through the broken houses, seeing hundreds of injured men and women, yet he didn't stop. Soon, Zeus saw a bunch of shinobi trying to fight off the giant creature, but that didn't block it in the slightest. It seemed like the village was still in disarray, and the strongest ones hadn't yet come out. This was a perfect chance to slip through.
The closer he came, the heavier the air turned. Zeus felt his blood stopping in its tracks, begging him to leave and turn around. In response, Zeus kept running. A few shinobi's blocked his way, telling him that it was dangerous, but he simply maneuvered through them and jumped.
"Hahaha! Come at me, you oversized cat! Let's test your divinity!" Zeus shouted to the creature, running towards it. Yet, it didn't even turn around, unbothered by Zeus's childish voice. A few veins exposed themselves on his forehead, and Zeus suddenly stopped in his tracks. "Are you ignoring me?"
Then, Zeus put his palms together, forcing a huge portion of his chakra toward them. Slowly, Zeus began to spread his palms in opposite directions, lightning prolonging and stretching along this movement.
It shaped and grew, until forming a shape of a huge nail. It was both thicker and longer than Zeus's hand. Frowning, Zeus stabilized the power between his hands, hoping that it wouldn't explode. Letting go with one hand, Zeus grabbed this huge lightning rod. It screamed with power within his hands, and Zeus felt his skin burning up.
"Have a taste of my lightning, you ignorant monster." Zeus stretched his hand back, forcing all the body weight there. Then, with all his might, Zeus threw the lightning rod straight toward the monster's head. Kurama turned his head towards the incoming jutsu at the last second and raised one of his tails to block the attack.
Surprisingly, just when Kurama was about to deflect the attack, the lightning rod suddenly turned violent and exploded, forcing the beast to take a step back. A major part of his tail burned in red flames, creating a beautiful yet frightening scene.
Kurama roared angrily, glancing down at the insignificant creature that had dared to assail him. Despite the situation, Zeus stared back at the monster, completely unmoving, not trembling even an inch. He feared no one, and will never fear. For a moment, the world stopped, and a peculiar scene presented itself for the world to see, with a little boy standing at a standstill with a massive red fox.
'His eyes...isn't that Sharingan? Is he being controlled? Have Uchiha's betrayed the village?' Zeus thought for an instant when Kurama suddenly attacked. Zeus moved his body to dodge, but everything happened too fast. Zeus didn't even realize that he had been struck with a tail before he was flying away. His senses got disorientated, as he curled into a ball. He forced chakra to scatter around his body and activated overlock at his fullest capabilities, persisting the deadliest collisions.
Eventually, silence settled and Zeus understood that he stopped flying. His entire body felt numb from the pain, yet there was a huge grin on his face. He rose back to his feet, only to understand that he was somewhere in the woods, out of the village.
Damn...that was one good swing.
"Let's see whether you are going to survive my next attack." Zeus wanted to rush back to the village and attack that enormous fox again. However, he stopped in his tracks, for he heard another battle happening some distance away. Thinking that there was an invasion happening from the outside, Zeus decided to check it out.
'Is that Minato?' Zeus thought after rushing to the place from where the noise was coming. Standing on a branch of a tree, Zeus stared at a battle happening between the current Hokage and a masked man. 'Is this the one responsible for this mess?'
