Dattebare, dattebare!

The next day, Raiden woke up at 4 am, ready for his training. He began with physical training for two hours with water breaks in between, then went for his bath and breakfast.

At breakfast, Raiden obtained a large scroll from Husei. She said it contained all the training equipment, scrolls and money his dad left behind and left for work.

'Dad was a Jonin, I guess I should expect a hefty harvest! But that'll wait. I need to extract chakra now for two hours, then learn from these scrolls.'

With this, Raiden started extracting chakra from his body. Entering a meditative state, he channeled his physical and spiritual energies and merged them. With a thought, chakra was formed, and although the speed was quite slow, the amount was good enough. After extracting the chakra, Raiden felt tired, both physically and spiritually, But as he circulated it throughout his body, he felt invigorated, and much better than before! This was his first time doing this, and he was already addicted to the feeling.

After two hours, Raijin finally stopped extracting the chakra, as he needed to save time for other things. He then opened the large scroll on the side. It was time for the most anticipated moment. It was already 9am, but he didn't feel that time had passed so much. He channeled his chakra into the open scroll and the next sight almost shocked him!

The huge Scoll was filled with smaller scroll, about a hundred of them. Luckily, they were labelled, else he'd be going in for a blind search. Come to think of it, that would be fun too :)

He first opened a scroll labelled 'Money' and open his jaws wide!

'Heck! I'm rich! I million ryo! With this much money, training resources won't be a problem! I could buy high class unclassified jutsus up to rank A, and some pretty good weapons too...'

When Raiden thought of the spear, he involuntary thought of the spear he killed Rhodes with.

' I've decided. My weapon will be a spear! With my spear, I will destroy evil in this world!' With this thought, Raiden took a scroll labelled 'Weapons'. There were lots of shuriken, kunai, senbon, metal thin wires, explosive tags and other miscalleneous ninja weapons. Most noticeable were two sleek katana, clawed gauntlets, other short swords, and a spear. Obviously the quality of the twin katanas were above average and the others were average.

'Seems my father was a swordsman. These clawed gauntlets are cool too. Metal claws, piercing knuckles back hand guard... Was my dad learning to be a versatile ninja? He doesn't seem to have a specialty...' Raiden thought as he rummaged through the weapons and scrolls, gradually learning lots of things in just three hours. Probably because he had a 17 year old mind, reading and comprehension were easy for him. He had read on swords, Spears, chakra, shuriken, senbon taijutsu and genjutsu techniques, shinobi world history, and many other miscalleneous things and also practiced. After three hours, he felt he could defend himself better. Although he didn't learn any Justus, the taijutsu and weapon techniques were enough. The sword techniques were of high quality whiles the rest were average. Well, as expected of a sword fan - Gojin. Raiden decided to put the spear down and focus on the sword until he got a better technique for the spear.

It was 12 pm, time for lunch. With the 100 ryo left by Husei, Raiden stormed out of the house swiftly°. The first thought that came to his mind was Ichiraku Ramen. As a Naruto lover, how could he not try this over-hyped Ramen?!

He got there and immediately saw a gloomy blonde in a jumpsuit heading towards the place.

'*Sigh* Guess I have to build a good relationship with this guy. I just bullied him yesterday though. What a drag. Well, Naruto is an open hearted boy yearning for friendship. Due to the corruptness of the authorities, he had to live a miserable life even as a semi-hero of Konoha and son of the fourth Hokage.' Thinking of this, a flame ignited in Raiden's heart. He realized something crucial and despicable that happened to him was also happening to Naruto right now.

'Damn it! Those corrupt authorities! I need to grow strong enough to be able to change this situation. But I'll inevitably be targeted by endless schemes. Alright. I've decided. I'll get a secret identity which cannot be linked to be to do the dirty work on the darkside. He will carry all the evil on his shoulders, like the king of hell. Let's eradicate evil from this world together, Yama!' Upon seeing Naruto, such a great change happened in Raiden. Heck he even decided to create a secret identity and become a Ninja Batman! And he hadn't even used his talk no jutsu yet! Maybe when Naruto spoke, he would directly decide to become his loyal dog for life!

"Uhm Nar-" 'Oops, I'm not supposed to know his name!' After dodging a bullet, Raiden rephrased, " Hey you."

Naruto turned his head to see who called him while flinching. He had a bad experience with the people who called out to him. Raiden understood and went closer while making himself more amiable, smiling kindly and all that. Honestly, he felt awkward, but for the situation, he had to do it. He had to gain Naruto's friendship.

"Sorry for what I did yesterday. I acted out of anger, you know? My parents died due to Kyuubi's rampage, but I now know it's not your fault! You're the hero who caged the Nine tails. You should be respected and not bullied everyday! So, please forgive me for yesterday. Let's be friends, okay?" After saying this, Raiden felt a knot in his heart untie. He knew Naruto would definitely forgive him, so the weight on his shoulder was already lifted even before hearing his answer.

Naruto was immediately teary-eyed after hearing this. This was the first time someone ever called him a hero and didn't say he was the demon fox, but rather, the one who caged the demon fox.

'This kid... Who told him that?' Kyuubi mused. Civilians didn't say that Naruto was the one caging Kyuubi, they said he was Kyuubi! This was a first. Maybe his parents were high level Ninja's and told him the information this way. Their prejudice against Naruto was low, so they told their kid this.

Naruto stood there like a deer in headlights, with Raiden bowing his head at him. After a teardrop, he said, "I'll be your friend, don't worry about the past, dattebayo!"

'Ah dattebayo, Boruto's was dattebasa, and Kushina's was dattebane, should mine be dattebare? Like Sukuna's 'gambare, gambare', maybe I could also say something like dattebare, dattebare! Haha so cool! Damn! Naruto's charm is so strong!'

"Thanks! Let me treat you to ramen, dattebare! What's your name?" Hearing this, Naruto's tears fell to the ground. It is unknown whether it was because of the free ramen or the 'dattebare'. "Naruto... Naruto Uzumaki!" Naruto responded while cleaning his tears and snot. "Raiden Soseki, nice to meet you, dattebare!" Raiden said and pulled Naruto by the hand into the Ichiraku ramen shop.

"Boss, Give us two bowls of Ramen for 100 ryo!" Raiden ordered enthusiastically as he saw Teuchi, the Ramen artist. As the food came, Raiden talked with Naruto about happy topics, smartly avoiding the sad ones. Naruto was really happy talking with his new friend and didn't really care which topic he brought up. He would enthusiastically chat with Raiden like they were already friends from long ago.

"Be careful Naruto, it's hot, dattebare!"

"Don't talk with food in your mouth, hahaha, you'll choke, dattebare!"

"Haha, you're too slow, I finished first, dattebare!"

Raiden almost revealed that Naruto was the Jinchuuriki of the Nine tails and that the fourth Hokage was his father, but as he realized the implications and the possible backlash from Danzo and Hiruzen, he gritted his teeth and avoided it. He also wanted to take Naruto to his house to train together, but again, that would put him in grave danger. Danzo would probably come knocking at his door the next moment. Until he had enough strength to face the backlashes, he couldn't do all this. There was also Anbu probably monitoring him at the moment. He had to tread carefully.

Soon it was time for Raiden to go home to continue training. Parting with a reluctant Naruto, he headed home to finally start learning jutsus!

'Damn those higher ups! There's probably Anbu monitoring me right now. Laying low for a while should be enough to lower their vigilance, or else, Root will come knocking at my door! Damn! I need to get real strong quickly and prepare my alternate identity too. Punishing corrupt leaders comes later, I need to get stronger first, and also polish my escape and assassination abilities. Gosh! I can't wait to get stronger! It's exciting!'
