Ch. 12 Revenge (part 1)

Sarutobi Asuma is the son of Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen, he was the child born when Third Hokage was the undisputed strongest ninja in Konoha just after the second war had ended.

From the perspective of others, they didn't know him as Asuma a chunin Shinobi, they knew him as the son of the Hokage and a second generation who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. All of his life, Asuma was never his own person, merely the son of his father.

Orochimaru's impression was the exact same, Asuma had a decent physique and decent talent. Orochimaru knew that he'd eventually reach a jonin level of strength but that would be his limit.

Orchimaru wouldn't have even knew his name if it wasn't the son of his sensei. Asuma was spoiled in the sense that he wasn't shown love often by his constantly busy father, but he was given any and everything that he sked for whether it was tobacco or jutsu.

Orochimaru didn't know what Sarutobi Hiruzen had in plan for the two Uchiha children but if he knew his sensei, hed want to instill the so-called "will of fire" into them and make them belong to Konoha and not the Uchiha clan.

Therefore, getting these two Uchiha children to feel loved and cared for is the most obvious used by Sarutobi Hiruzen. Having his son trying to fight and bully them, was obviously going to throw a wrench in the plan.

'Teacher, it looks like you've failed once again.' Orochimaru thought as he watched his sensei's child antagonizing the blind Uchiha boy.

Orochimaru had been around to witness all of the major shortcomings of his sensei, whether it was letting Danzo manipulate the people into forcing Sakumo Hatake, a Kage level ninja, into ending his own life. Or to be so hypocritical with your actions that even the goofy and joyful Jiraya left the village.

Hiruzen let a kage level Shinobi kill himself when he could have stopped it and let 2 out of the three sannin leave the village. No matter how Orochimaru looked at it, his sensei was letting Danzo purposely cripple the villages power in order for Danzo to be the strongest In charge.

The only reason Orchimaru stayed in the village, was because if the ample amount of research on Kekkai Genkai that he could gain from all of the clans residing there and he will soon depart after learn all he could in the next few years.

Now, Hiruzen is indirectly messing up once again, letting his spoiled child drive a wedge even further between the village and the Uchiha.

The battle between Chiba and Itachi came to an end because of the appearance of Asuma, looking back at Sarutobi Asuma, Itachi glanced at Chiba.

"Chiba-kun…this is–!?" Seeing the son of the Hokage angrily stomping towards Chiba, Itachi grew concerned.

"It's okay Itachi, you can go home and I'll settle this. Just make sure to bring your sword tomorrow and I'll teach you Iaido." Chiba said as he started pushing Itachi to leave.

Itachi looked at Chiba, then at Sarutobi Asuma and couldn't help but worry a little. He knew Chiba, he never respected the backings of others and only judged people based on personal achievements and merit. That was the reason why Chiba and Itachi was friends, while other Uchiha kids were intimidating by being friends with the patriarchs son, Chiba didn't care at all.

Itachi was worried as Konoha and Uchiha are not at the same level, especially the son of the Hokage vs the blind 'disgrace' of the Uchiha.

"Chiba-san, do you need..."Chiba waved his hand before he finished speaking

"It's okay, if you can't see things clearly, don't get involved." Chiba said cryptically.

'Can't see clearly? What can't I see?' Itachi thought as he felt Chiba pushing him lightly towards the edge of the training grounds.

Itachi wanted to help, not physical as he felt that no lone Chunin could kill Chiba especially a new chunin like Asuma.

He wanted to help because of the backing of Asuma. The son of the Uchiha Patriarch would be slapped in the wrist if something happened to Asuma, but Chiba may be heavily punished.

"Dont worry Itachi I'll go easy on him. Now go home and pick out a decent sword for tomorrow, even if I hold back on my strength, this blade will still take Chips of metal out of low quality blades when they clash" Chiba said proudly.

The calmness in Chiba's voice infuriated Asuma as he felt like like his challenges wasn't being taken serious .

'What does he mean to go easy on me? Why the hell is he talking about his sword training tomorrow when he's gonna be in the hospital with even more missing appendages!'

Sarutobi Asuma, who has been completely dominated by anger, did not analyze the reason how Chiba was able to instantly suppress him at the dango shop last time.

In his opinion, it was just his carelessness that allowed the other party's sneak attack, and the presence of kurenai distracting him.

"Chiba, win or lose I won't be telling my father about this. You can go all out, I want you to know that I am better than you!" Asuma yelled angrily, not wanting Chiba to later claim that he lost because of the reprocussions of winning.

Chiba stood upquietly, leaning on the cane in both hands as he listened to the boys angry rant.

"You are wrong, Sarutobi Asuma, no matter what the outcome is, your old man will know!" Chiba said to the foolish child who was twice his age.

"Your father probably told you to not care me trouble, but you still show up, why? Is it because of your personal honor? Or is it because of that girl?" Chiba said, poking at the boys ego.

"I came to show you that im better than you!"
