18. C Rank Mission: Escorts

After arriving home, Naruto showered.

His whole body ached, every movement of his body was straining, "tch" Naruto kissed his teeth not liking this uncomfortable feeling.

"My body doesn't break or tear as easily as Guy and Rock Lee said, seems like my original statement was correct".

Naruto's main reason for seeking out this suicidal technique was due to his Uzumaki bloodline, the toughness of his body was on another level to the normal shinobi.

Along with the training he had done so far, he knew his body could handle a majority of the gates, however he'd feel slight pain and this feeling of discomfort he couldn't get rid of after every use.

Finishing up the shower, Naruto put his weights back on along with his green goggles, he used these green goggles to train his neck.

Sitting down he drank some green tea, he picked up a liking for it after taking a short trip to a tea house once.

Looking outside his window, Naruto relished in the moonlight, feeling his surroundings no Anbu was monitoring him.

A smile crept up on his face, he liked the feeling of being alone, the feeling of him and the world alone without anyone or anything.

Soon his mind drifted on the upcoming battle with Zabuza and Haku, Naruto knew Zabuza would die to Kakashi, however he wouldn't allow it.

It was a villain sympathising with a villain, since he knew that Zabuza's goal was to kill the Mizukage then he couldn't die to Kakashi.

Naruto(Mark) in his past life used to bail out villains and criminals for the simple fact that he loved causing mass destruction.

Him alone wasn't enough, so with elaborate plans he used to break into the highest levels of prison and breakout criminals that were wanted by the whole world.

And he'd also cause mass property damage wherever he went, causing prison riots, killing guards and assassinating the president of the United States.

So for that reason he had decided to save Zabuza, knowing Haku's weak nature he planned to kill him himself, so that Zabuza's nature wouldn't be corrupted by him.

Sipping his tea, Naruto finished up organising his mind and went to bed.

"Good morning guys", Kakashi said with an enthusiastic voice.

"Today the mission upgrades you all have been asking for has arrived!", Sasuke and Naruto's eyes widened.

Seeing their surprised faces Kakashi smiled.

"Yep! The mission you will be going on today is a C rank mission!".

"Eh?, why aren't you excited?", Kakashi looked at them with a confused expression.

"....".

No one replied, Sasuke was scoffing as he felt it was funny how he got his hopes up, Naruto rolled his eyes as leaned on a tree, as for Sakura she was too busy looking at Sasuke.

Although she did hear that it would be a C rank mission, she didn't care about the level of the mission as long as she was with Sasuke.

Along with her timid nature when a situation was dangerous, she much preferred a safer mission.

"Come on now, you're only genins, there is no way you getting a B rank mission and above for now".

Hearing his words Naruto stopped leaning against the tree, and Sasuke stopped sulking.

Breathing out finally Kakashi felt exhausted from looking after genins.

"Now let me explain the mission".

"The mission will be escorting a carpenter called Tazuna back to his village in the Land of the Waves".

"It's an escorting mission?" Sasuke sulked once again.

"Now now let's go the carpenter is waiting for us at the gate".

Kakashi then led the three to the gate, they soon saw a man with grey hair, grey goatee and grey moustache standing in the distance.

He also wore a straw hat due to the weather, he then looked at them as waved at them hurrying them over to him.

"You're 2 minutes late!", Kakashi just laughed awkwardly as he apologised, Naruto had his backpack on with his rations of food since it would be quite a journey.

His sword was strapped to his backpack which caught the eyes of the carpenter, "should a kid be carrying a sword?".

"None of you're business old man" Naruto said in a nonchalant tone.

The old man named Tazuna felt annoyed however knowing he had deceived Konoha into thinking this was but a C rank mission he quieted down.

"Let's get going, I don't want to be held behind!".

"Sure, let's head out".

They all then walked out of the gate as they travelled through the forest making their way towards the Land of the Waves.

Naruto felt the breeze hit his face as he enjoyed the walk, and it wasn't tiring due to his runs he took.

After 2 hours of walking Sakura couldn't help but ask.

"Say, Mr.Tazuna".

"What is it?".

"Your country is the Land of the Waves right?".

"Yes".

After not hearing anything about it Sakura turned to Kakashi.

"Say, Kakashi-sensei".

"Are there any Ninja's in that Land too?".

"No, there aren't any Ninja's in the Land of the Waves".

"But in other countries there are hidden villages, each with their own customs and cultures were Ninja reside".

"To the people of this continent, the existence of Shinobi Villages mean's strength,Military strength".

"That's how they protect themselves and maintain the balance of power with neighbouring countries".

"The Ninja villages are not controlled by any government, their independent and have equal status".

"Now a small place like the Land of the Waves has natural protection from the sea, so there's no need for a Ninja village".

"The 5 ancient lands the possess a Shinobi Villages are the Land of Fire, the Land of Waters, the Land of Lightning, the Land of Wind, the Land of Earth".

"Each occupy vast territories, together their known as the 5 Great Shinobi Villages".

"The Land of Fire has the Village Hidden in the Leaves".

"The land of Water has the Village Hidden in the Mist".

"The land of Lightning has the Village Hidden in the Clouds".

"The Land of Wind has the Village Hidden in the Sand".

The Land of Earth has the Village Hidden in the Stone".

"Only the leaders of these villages are permitted the name Kage".

"Hokage, Mizukage, Raikage, Kazekage, Tsuchikage, these are the leaders, the 5 shadows that reign over thousands of Ninja".

"The Hokage is really important!" Sakura said with a smile, 'is that old man really important? I'm not buying none of it!'.

'He fell for the og Naruto's transformation jutsu, what a "great" Hokage'.

"Hey, you lot doubted Lord Hokage didn't you".

Sakura flinched feeling caught, "well anyways there aren't any Ninja battles in a C rank mission, so you can relax" Kakashi said whilst patting Sakura's head.
