Chapter 8: Time Skip/Academy

A year passed slowly, and the academy's admission day had arrived. Young Konoha aspiring shinobi along with their parent's made their way to the doors of the academy.

The three young Uchiha arrived at the academy's gate, accompanied by Fujime and Matsuri. Junko (mc's mother) and Katsuyu (Kaname's mother) couldn't make it.

Illumi's mother recovered the past year, but she still looked a bit emotionless. The loss of her husband took a lot on her. She lost her parents at birth adoptive parents a few years back and now her husband. It took a strong woman to move forward and she did but those losses made her heart freeze up and when it came to emotions or showing them she was traumatized to do so.

Sadly, Illumi hasn't interacted much with his mother ever since that day, partially because of his selfishness and because he didn't want to give his heart to someone just to be emotionally scared again. It didn't matter if he gained a power boost like Sharingan or Mangekyō it damaged him mentally and made him feel immense guilt, the stronger the power-up the stronger the effects. One of the struggles Uchiha's were cursed to go through.

Clearing his head, he thought about all he did that led him to this point.

Over the past twelve months, Illumi trained harder than ever. Under Fujime's tutelage, his skill rose drastically… at a frightening pace.

Fujime had taught Illumi to use his sharingan, helping him get used to both the eye of hypnotism and the eye of insight, while using the three skills that come each tomoe. The first eye of insight/perception, second eye of illusion and hypnosis fortifying and eliminating the use of hand seals, and lastly, third tomoe copying techniques.

Sadly Illumi only reached up to the second tomoe but that wasn't all he and his group learned the past year.

They learned proper martial arts, flexibility, the Uchiha taijutsu style, Genjutsu for Illumi (because he was the only who could use it for now and at a high level and also since he had strong yin,) understanding and better use of sharingan, history, battle tactics, academy three including body flicker at high usage (illusion clone, substitution and transformation jutsus,) handling weapons, throwing mastery over objects such as kunai, shuriken and senbon (the three have mastery but Illumi's takes the cake with his skill being so in depth over weapon handling he could do the same thing itachi did with kunai and shuriken in the itachi light novel), use of ninja wire, doubling hand-sign speed, general speed, strength, water walking, and tree walking, hell the crazy bastard Fujime even made them walk up a waterfall with just chakra control alone. He also made them learn 'tree jumping' as fast as they can because every ninja needed this skill. Lastly Illumi during his own time of course found a way to increase his chakra sense and regular sensory + his infrared heat vision (where he sees the heat in people kinda like infrared vision, seeing inside the body and also through walls like byakugan) and to strengthen his mind he meditated helping his sensory.

Like I said this is the year he obtained huge gains so did Kaname and Fugaku. They're body structures were more defined than almost all kids here, why? They're training of course which broke down there muscles rebuilding them twice as strong and dense including a couple of bones, Illumi personally in his free time punched trees until they fell which was something he couldn't do in the first half of the year but over time the bones in his hands grew as strong as rock, during the last month of 'training' he could break a tree down with shear strength alone within a couple of punches.

[A/N: So sorry for the info dump, I didn't want to oversee his training during the year gap because this would be at least 7 chapters long, so to improvise I time skipped while listing the things he did over that time.]

Being brought out of his thoughts Fujime spoke. "This is a new beginning for you guys, and my expectations are, needless to say, very high. Now go and show this village what the Uchiha clan's new generation is made of.

"Hai Sensei!"

The three of them answered at the same time. They looked at each other and laughed, having gotten closer over the past year.

After saying goodbye, they ran into the academy and next to the rest of this year's student batch. There was a podium where a presentation would take place once everyone got there.

When the seats were filled, the current Hokage, a young Hiruzen Sarutobi, came out and gave the kids a speech about the will of fire. He was very good at this, seeing as all the kids were more pumped up than ever.

The only ones who weren't all that excited were the Uchiha trio. Even Kaname wasn't all that happy and he's the most cheerful of the three. Meanwhile Illumi was mad at the Hokage who couldn't manage a village… leading to his clan's demise.

Once Hiruzen was finished, a young man wearing the traditional Jonin attire came out holding a sheet of paper.

"We will now announce which classes you'll be in! Class A: Shibi Aburame, Inochi Yamanaka…"

Illumi was kinda surprised that Canon's parents' generation was going to be in the same class as him. He couldn't wait to see how he matched up against them.

The principal finally came across the most important names, as the trio looked at each other hoping to be in the same class. And as luck would have it, the principal's next words made them high-five each other.

"Illumi Uchiha, Fugaku Uchiha, Kaname Uchiha, Mikoto Uchiha..."

'That last name rings a bell…'

Just then, Illumi realized that 'Mikoto' was none other than Sasuke's mother!

He always wondered how Fugaku and her ended up falling in love, so this was the perfect opportunity to find out.

"Hey Fugaku, I heard a girl from our clan will be joining our class, since you're the young head of the clan, you probably already know her… who is she?"

Illumi smirked and giggled as Kaname looked at Fugaku with eyes that were asking for his opinion. When Fugaku heard that Mikoto would be in his class he was happy and let it show for a split second.

"Oh really, I hadn't noticed… Mikoto huh? I did meet her, she has a lot of talent, but not as good as me!"

"Ahem… are you perhaps talking about me?"

Noticing this, Fugaku turned his head around slowly seeing the person he last wanted to see at this moment. When he saw Mikoto's face he remembered what he said and couldn't help but panic.

"I- No... err, I meant that you were talented but not yet as good as me, but you have potential! Haha… ha"

Mikoto frowned and huffed away, leaving Fugaku there blood drained from his face. Kaname tried to comfort him as Illumi burst out laughing, rolling on the ground even.
