Naruto Shippuden 10

Naruko and Alucard were sitting beside each other as they were listening to the conversation going on between Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji, with Kakashi being healed by them.

"The men that killed my Sensei are dead and the revenge I wanted feels so hollow." Shikamaru said looking down at the hole where he blew up and buried Hidan and soon fell to his knees with tears.

"That's how it usually goes Shika," Naruko sighed as she walked up to him and sat down on the grass, and looked up to the smoke-filled sky.

"You coat yourself in anger and hatred in order to prepare yourself for the inevitable encounter where you seek justification for the entire act only to find that in the end once you've accomplished your revenge there is nothing tangible to be gained," Naruko said as she brought him into a hug.

"Well, I kind of assumed I'd at least be glad the bastards were either dead or out of commission forever, isn't that to be expected?" Shikamaru asked as he slowly pulled away and looked to the sky.

"Look Shika I don't have the answers. I'm the same age as you but if you want my advice on it then listen well. Coming out here and endangering yourself was stupid since not only did you endanger yourself but Ino, Choji, and Kakashi." Naruko said reprimanding him before she ruffled his hair.

"But we all chose to come to help avenge Asuma!" Shikamaru said with anger.

"Then they too are fools," Naruko replied as Shikamaru looked at Naruto with wide eyes. "You forget your duty Shikamaru."

"To the village?" Shikamaru asked.

"No, not to the village but instead toward a little one who will need your guidance in the future since her Father won't be there to perform his role." Naruko said dropping the bomb about Kurenai's pregnancy.

"Kurenai…" Shikamaru asked getting a nod from Naruko.

"You have no idea how scared she was Shikamaru that you all might die to the same people that took Asuma. Instead of coming out here and nearly getting yourselves killed, you should have been with Kurenai comforting her when she needed you the most, not adding extra stress onto her shoulders especially when she's pregnant with a child." Naruko said looking at everyone present.

"Maybe we shouldn't have rushed into this," Shikamaru sighed as he laid down with Naruko putting his head on her lap.

"Naruto. Thanks, for coming with someone to save us." Shikamaru said while resting on her lap looking up to the sky.

"Just look out for Kurenai and her kid. Now just rest for a while. You deserve it." Naruko said with a small smile.

"Alucard, thanks for helping them. I greatly appreciate it." Naruko said getting a nod from Alucard.

"Anything for you, and don't have any unprotected sex~ I'm not ready to have a nephew or niece" Alucard said slyly getting a blush from Naruko.

"W-what, I'm not going to have sex. He's a good friend and what he did was pretty stupid but brave so he get a free lap pillow just this once." Naruko said looking away and getting a laugh from Shikamaru, who was swiftly tossed away. "I thought I told you to get some rest!"

"Oww, how am I going to get some rest if you throw me." Shikamaru said with a groan getting a laugh out of everyone.

-Konoha A day later-

"So let me get this straight," Tsunade sighed at the rather large group gathered in her office. "Kakashi took Asuma's team to take out the Immortal Duo and the whole squad was almost wiped out, only to be saved by Naruko and Alucard who promptly defeated Hidan and Kakuzu.

"Yeah, that's everything Granny," Naruko said offhandedly.

"Very well. Good job." Tsunade said getting tired of dealing with this shit.

-Elsewhere-

"Have you found Karin yet Suigetsu?" the voice of Sasuke Uchiha called out to his subordinate.

"Nah not yet though I'm positive she's around here somewhere especially since he's locked up somewhere around here." Suigetsu called out.

"Jugo?" Sasuke asked

"Who else would I be referring to," Sasuke sighed at Suigetsu's response.

"Very well. Call me when you've found anything useful?" Sasuke said.

"Why are we looking for Karin anyways, she's practically useless." Suigetsu asked confused.

"You know that isn't true Suigetsu so stop acting like an idiot," Sasuke sighed. "Karin is probably one of the best medical ninjas around so we're better off having her with us than sitting around in the lab of a deceased snake."

"I can sense a rather unique power coming further back, and guessing who it is. I say we leave him here right Sasuke?" Suigetsu asked not wanting to disturb Jugo.

"We'll see what happens when we get down there Suigetsu," Sasuke said as he walked out the door with the white-haired teen crying literal waterfalls of tears at the unfairness of his current situation.

The duo descended down into the darker depths of the hideout eventually coming across a locked door with two voices whispering to one another on the other side.

"Oh looks like it's locked so I guess we can just lea-!" Suigetsu started only to be interrupted by the door being smashed, with its support and the wall coming down with it courtesy of Sasuke's kick.

"Stop whining." Sasuke said as Suigetsu's mock tears had somewhat flooded the lower portion of the hallway.

"Karin, Jugo are you in there?" Sasuke asked before dodging a flying figure as they fell face first into Suigetsu's tears.

"So close" a female voice spoke from the floor.

"HA Karin fell down!" Suigetsu chimed in.

"Wow, aren't you mature Suigetsu," Karin snorted as she quickly sat up and adjusted her glasses. "Laughing at someone falling down what are you five!"

"Karin I'm putting together a team," Sasuke said ignoring the argument between Suigetsu and Karin.

"What, really?" Karin exclaimed.

"Jugo," Sasuke said as the three saw an orange-haired man slowly step into the light with a frown on his face. "That offer extends to you as well."

I refuse," the man growled as he clutched his head seemingly in pain. "I'm far too dangerous to be let loose!"

"All the more reason to bring you with us. I have a friend who could help you." Sasuke said trying to convince him.

"I'm a monster so it'll be a fitting way to atone for my crimes, leave me alone Uchiha I've got no plan to leave this place!" Jugo said before he began to growl with black markings beginning to appear across his body.

"Orochimaru has been dead for a while and this place is basically deserted. You'll end up dying here." Sasuke said still trying to convince him.

"Jugo no you need to control yourself!" Karin said noticing the marks that had formed on his body,

"I…can't Karin…must…KILL!" Jugo yelled falling into a violence-induced trance.

Jugo's arm morphed into an axe as he went to take a swing at Sasuke who had activated his Sharingan in response. Just as he was about to reach Sasuke's neck he froze, eyes glued onto Sasuke's own as the markings began to recede.

"Holy shit," Suigetsu blurted out as Jugo staggered backward in confusion. "What … did you do?"

"If you are that concerned with going on a rampage then I'll be your cage Jugo but only if you'll join me." Sasuke said giving an option.

"You'll … be my cage?"

"Yes." Sasuke swiftly replied.

"The Sharingan and the power behind the one using it should be more than sufficient in holding back my rage so I shall go with you." Jugo said finally agreeing with the demands.

"And then there were four," Suigetsu muttered to himself with tears flooding the area.

-In Konoha-

Naruko, Alucard, Shinobu, and Kaede were all dressed in identical strapless turtleneck black dresses that went down all the way to their shins. The dress had embroidery of flowers across it, as their long hair were out that had a beautiful flower headdress attached to it that covered half of their face.

They were surrounded by some other Shinobi who came for Asuma Sarutobi's burial. Konohamaru's mournful wails pierced the air as he sobbed over his uncle's passing as he was pulled into a hug by his Grandfather as they both had tears in their eyes. Naruko was at the teen's side, hand on his shoulder, and looked at Hiruzen who looked back at her with a slight nod.

Kurenai and Shikamaru were the first to go to Asuma's grave and lay a bouquet of flowers there, Naruko overheard bits of a stilted conversation between both of them as they hugged with Kurenai crying into his shoulders.

Naruko walked towards Asuma's grave with a bundle of flowers in her hand and dropped to her knees and lay them with a few tears spilling out before saying a quiet prayer to her mother to give him an enjoyable and well-deserved afterlife.

The next day Naruko walked to the sight of Shikamaru kneeling at Asuma's grave, flicking his sensei's lighter on and off in his hand.
