Chapter 23 A Tooth for a Tooth

Upon hearing the activated skill Camilla draw her sword and jump forward to deal a killing blow at Christoff. Her speed is too much for Christoff so even if his mind knows what to do his body won't react in time.

"Sacred Shield!" shouted by one of the Crusader behind Christoff.

Christoff jumps backward relieved that one of his guild member casted a Sacred Shield on him since he is not confident that he can take a mere normal hit from Camilla.

"Don't you think you're underestimating us too much? The first retaliation you did is not a skill but a normal attack? Its useless our Crusader heavily invest their stats to vitality and with four Sanctuary active unless you can one shot two of us at the same time your effort is futile." explained by Christoff with a confident tone however deep inside he understands how even Arthur fear this woman. If not for the order he received to delay Camilla he will not unnecessary provoked her.

Without listening to a single word what Christoff says, Camilla jump forward again to do another normal attack. She tried attacking the other Crusaders for now instead of Christoff however the same thing happened if not Christoff one of the other Crusader will cast Sacred Shield on her target.

SwordSaints Guild Members who confronted Camilla consist of Christoff, Four Paladins and Five Crusaders. This is the elite force of the guild and the reason why they are the third strongest guild in the entirety of Lavierre Kingdom.

'This bastards! What are they trying to achieve holding me in this place? Where the fuck is Arthur?' says Camilla inwardly while showing an irritated face.

"Its futile Camilla! How about we just talk for now?" taunted by Christoff.

Camilla stopped her barrage of attacks and smirked.

"Talk? Ok let's talk." answered by Camilla.

"That Crusader girl? I gave an order to execute her if I didn't return after two hours. How many time had pass since I came here? 30? 40? 50 minutes?" Camilla added while showing a sinister grin.

"Don't listen to her Christoff! Valerie was arrested via royal decree if they want to kill her it needs to be by public execution!" shouted by an old man that wears the same armor of Arthur but instead of Gold it has a Silver finish.

Christoff was just stunned after he heard Camilla.

"Royal Decree? Did one of your own Wizard inspect its authenticity? I know SwordSaints doesn't have a high level Wizard and where do you think the funds that the Magus Guild receive monthly came from?" explained by Camilla without removing her sinister grin.

"D-do you really think the King will remain idly if you execute her?" retort by the old Paladin.

"Reports can be fabricated especially if there will be no witness left." says by Camilla. Her sinister grin turn into a maniacal laugh.

"I don't know where does that confidence coming from but even for you escaping this Sanctuary is impossible. We can just make this your graveyard." says by the old Paladin with a confident tone.
