Chapter 22 An Eye for an Eye

A week passed by. Cleo and Leah is already used to fighting a Minotaur. Due to Leah's God's Gift, Cleo can afford to practice his new skill Crimson Ichor, in the hopes of finding more information about this unique skill.

During this passed week rumors began to spread about how SwordSaints one of the famous guild in the Lavierre Kingdom committed treason by harboring a wanted criminal.

A silver haired, muscular woman that now wears a full plated armor rather than the usual tank top and leather pants they usually saw her wearing everyday is standing in front of a stone building that has a huge sign in front. The sign has an engraving that looks like a pair of angel wings with a sword in the middle.

*BANG!*

The silver haired accompanied by four Knights barge in the building by kicking the door.

"Arthur! Get the fuck out of your cave!" her loud voice reverberated in the entire room.

"Lady Camilla? How's Valerie? Can we at least see her?" The first to respond is a middle aged man with a raspy voice. His tone has a mix of suppress anger and respect in order not to offend Camilla.

"Valerie? Oh! That one is a tough girl." answered by Camilla while glancing at his direction and throws a small spherical object.

Christoff saw the sphere and he reluctantly pick it. He turn it around to inspect it however he instantly drop the sphere as if it sends electricity on his hand. Christoff and the rest of his guild members saw it. Its an eye that has an green iris and a much darker green pupil.

Their eyes widened in shock. They can only assume that the eye belonged to Valerie since she is being detained by Camilla and green eyes is not a very common eye color.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Camilla laugh maniacally. "I thought you wanted to see her? I'm disappointed with this guild's hospitality. I at least expected a thank you!" Camilla added while trying to hold her laugh.

"C-Camilla you dog!" shouted by Christoff then he draw his sword.

"I don't have time with you insect. Bring me Arthur if you don't want to see a decapitated head tomorrow!" shouted by Camilla filling the room with her voice again sending shiver to some of the Crusaders.

"Paladins now!" shouted by Christoff.

"Holy Sword!" shouted by four Paladins in unison targeting the four Knights that accompanied Camilla.

The Knights took the full blow without having the time to react all of them were either died on the spot or incapacitated. These four Knights are not weak by any means however Paladins are 3rd Promotion so they are much stronger in terms of level and overall stats.

Camilla remain unfazed with what transpired. In her mind if they want her dead the Paladins should've targeted her instead of her retainers.

"What's with you bastards!?" This is treason! Thank you for giving me a reason to eradicate pest!" shouted by Camilla.

"Sanctuary!" shouted by the four Paladins in unison while positioning themselves in each corner of the room.

'This bastards!' Camilla curse inwardly.
