"So..."

"Hmm?"

"What was that about releasing an album?" Dad ask, looking into the rearview mirror at Daniel.

"Oh you haven't heard? It was under my impression that everyone had heard." Daniel says and looks out of the car window as if finished with the conversation.

a Vein bursts on Dad's forehead at his son's antics. "Are you telling me that you're gonna write enough songs to create a full album in a month?" He asks, calming himself lest he gets in an accident.

"Uh huh."

"Okay then, hotshot. Sing a song then." Dad says in a challenging tone, only for a chuckle to escape Daniel's mouth.

"Okay... How about I rap?" Daniel smirks at his father's confused expression.

*Tap Tap*

He starts tapping the window and door to create a beat.

"I'm hopin' that somebody pray for me

I'm prayin' that somebody hope for me

I'm stayin' where nobody 'posed to be p-p-posted

Being a wreck of emotions

Ready to go whenever, just let me know

The road is long, so put the pedal into the floor

The enemy on my trail, my energy unavailable

I'ma tell 'em, "Hasta luego"

They wanna plot on my trot to the top

I been outta shape, thinkin' out the box, I'm an astronaut

I blasted off the planet rock to cause catastrophe

And it matters more because I had it not

Had I thought about wreaking havoc

On an opposition, kinda shockin' they wanted static

With precision, I'm automatic quarterback

I ain't talkin' sackin', pack it

Pack it up, I don't panic, batter-batter up

Who the baddest? It don't matter 'cause we at your throat."

(J.i.D's verse in - Imagine Dragons: Enemy.)

Daniel grabs a bottle of water from the cup holder on the door and takes a sip. "Although this song won't be in the album cause it doesn't fit the style. For the first album, I'm going for love and life type shi'." He states.

"Wait." Dad stops at a stop sign and turns his head to face his son. "If that's not gonna be in the album, does that mean that you have more than enough songs in your mind for a single album." He says, causing his wife to turn and face Daniel as well with shock.

"Yeah." Daniel says, scratching the back of his head. "More than enough for a few albums actually..." He mutters, but wasn't clearly heard by his parents.

"Sorry?"

"Nothing. When will we be home? I wanna start recording as soon as possible." Daniel's words draw a smile to his mother's face.

Arriving home, Dad and Daniel instantly go to the studio, both excited for what's in store.

"You got any instruments, Pah?" Daniel asks. The next song he'll be recording can't be done on a program, he needs to record his own samples.

"Yeah, in the storage room next door." Dad replies, focused on starting up the computer and getting everything going.

Leaving the studio, Daniel goes to the room his father told him about.

*Click*

He turns on the light and gets assaulted by the sight of many different instruments filled with dust and cobwebs.

"Haah... What a sad sight..." He sighs, thinking of how seriously his parents took their dream, only for it to not work out... "Not only did they lose their dream... They lost their son too..." He mutters, going deeper into the room, searching for two instruments. "Gotcha."

Daniel walks back into the studio with two instruments in hand.

"Do you even know how to play those?" Dad asks, seeing Daniel enter with a digital piano and a violin.

"Yip." Daniel responds shortly. In Daniel's previous life, he knew he didn't have the best talent in music, so he tried compensating with other things. That's when he dabble in all the things related to music. From instruments to watching a simple 'How to produce your own song' YouTube video.

He was completely lost in the world of music. a World his parents introduced him to.

"Let's see if it still works..." Daniel mutters while plugging in the piano inside the booth and swipes his fingers gently across the keys.

*Ding*

He presses a single key, producing a sweet sound.

"Now the next." He picks up the violin and bow and puts it against his jaw.

*Dooooo*

He moves the bow across the strings with his eyes closed.

"Alright. Ready when you are, Pah."

*Tik*

Dad presses a single button and shows a thumbs up to Daniel, causing the latter to close his eyes, fully focused on the sound he makes with the violin.

At that moment, Mom walks into the studio with two plates, grabbing Dad's attention, who quickly muted the mic and turn to her.

"Thought you guys would get hungry." Mom says, giving one plate to her husband with a smile before her attention gets grabbed by the sounds escaping the recording booth.

"He still surprises even me." Dad says after seeing Mom lost in thought.

Setting down the other pate, Mom looks at Daniel one more time before exiting the room. "Amazing." She says softly, the melancholic concerto still ringing in her ears.

"How was it?" Daniel asks after finishing the piece, before spotting the plate of food on the table next to his father. "Oh did Mah make food?" Quickly exiting the booth, he takes the plate and enters the booth again.

And so they began the next song, getting a step closer to creating the album that would change the direction of this world's music industry.

Unknown to the Daniel, his performance at the club spread like wildfire on the internet thanks to Jack's livestream and a few in the crowd recording at the time.
